Nioh 2 The Burning Sky Walkthrough

March 15, 2020 by DK Leave a Comment

The Burning Sky is the 33rd side mission in Nioh 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all areas of The Burning Sky Side Quest.

The Burning Sky is unlocked when you complete The Frenzied Blaze Main Mission.

Recommended Level: 64

Region: DAWN
Requirement: Finish The Frenzied Blaze Main Mission
Reward: Kamui (FIRE), Radiant Flame (FIRE), Twin Dragon Tonfa (FIRE), Sacred Water x4

First the key, then the door

Follow the path upwards while avoiding falling down the cliffs. Watch out for an Enki who will try to drop on your head halfway. You can shoot him where he’s hanging, then he drops down and you can run past him. Beware there’s one of those ladies that uses purple forcefields. She’ll use such a forcefield when you get near her and try to push you down the cliff. Let her use the move, then run past her.

Once you reach the open forest area go around to your right to find a chain bridge. You will have to cross it and grab a key from the small house on the other side first. See the bridge in the screenshot below.

With the key now in your inventory, head back to the forest area again and take the stairs up the Shrine there. Watch out for the rolling boulder.

Head through the door (which can now be opened using the key) and into the Yokai Realm. The only enemy you need to kill is the long-tongued Yokai there. Once he’s dead it clears the Dark Realm and finishes the mission. The other enemies do not need to be killed at all.

Start by defeating the cannon skeleton on the left hill first and the two flame heads, then fight the flame tongue guy while the cannon skeleton on right keeps shooting. If you kill the cannon skeleton on the right a Tengu will spawn. If you leave him alone this enemy will never spawn, making it much easier! Also don’t go up the path with the right-side cannon guy, it will spawn an armored axe skeleton.

After the long-tongued enemy is dead it clears the Dark Realm and the mission is done. Remember to leave the cannon skeleton on the right-side hill alone so it doesn’t spawn unnecessarily many extra enemies.

This finishes The Burning Sky side mission in Nioh 2.
