A Shadow’s Duty is the 23rd side mission in Nioh 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all areas of the A Shadow’s Duty Side Quest.
A Shadow’s Duty is unlocked when you complete Corpses and Ice Main Mission and The Tiger Approaches Side Mission.

Find Hanzo
Your only objective in this mission is to find Hanzo Hattori. He will be located at the back of the fortress you have to enter. All the doors in front of you are locked so you have to take the path through the buildings while opening the locked doors from behind for a shortcut later on. In the first area head up the ladder and proceed to the second area.
Head into the building on the right. You can ignore all the Yokai and simply go through the building onto the balcony. Watch out for the small guy waiting to jump on your head.
Defeat the big sworded Yokai in the last area since he is the only one that is important for this mission. You can ignore / run past all other enemies, only the one enemy depicted in the image below needs to be killed. Once he is down you can find Hanzo in a small building in this area for the mission to succeed.
