Obtained by taking a standard picture of Spheal.
2 Stars: Snowfields (Night) Research Level 1 – On alert
Obtained in the last area of the main path you will see a Vulpix starting a race between 3 Piplup with 3 Spheal as the ending point. Take a picture of the Spheal once the Piplup crash into the to finish the race.
3 Stars: Snowfields (Day) Research Level 1 – You don’t see this every day
Obtained by taking a picture of the Spheal relaxingly swimming from the lake to the little cave holes.
4 Stars: Snowfields (Day) Research Level 3 – You don’t see this every day
In the final area of the alternate end route when you come out of the cave you will see see a Spheal to the left on a piece of ice circling a hole in the middle. Throw a fluffruit at the Spheal to knock it into the hole. It will resurface and you can play a melody, this will make a Dewgong come up from below it and bounce it up as if it were a ball, that is its 4 star pose.
