Obtained by taking a standard picture of Piplup.
2 Stars: Snowfields (Day) Research Level 1 – That’s a hit!
Obtained by taking a picture of Piplup shortly after hitting it with a fluffruit.
3 Stars: Snowfields (Night) Research Level 1 – Hurry! Hurry!
Obtained in the last area of the main path you will see a Vulpix starting a race between 3 Piplup with 3 Spheal as the ending point. Take a picture of any of the Piplup racing by sliding on their bellies.
4 Stars: Snowfields (Day) Research Level 3 – Found a treasure!
Head to the alternate route from the start and to the alternate ending. Once you get through the cave look ahead on the path and you will see 3 Piplup staring into the water. Throw an illumina orb in the water where they are looking and one of the Piplup will dive into the water. It will then resurface on the ice where the other two are standing with a seashell, It will be proud waving it all around, this is its 4 star pose.
