- 1 Stars: Park (Night) Research Level 1 – Night night
In the first small woods after the first big open area you will be asked to scan a mound of dirt near the Crystabloom and when you do you will see Pinsir’s spikes stick out of the ground. Throw a fluffruit at it and his body will pop out of the hole halfway. Wait for it to fall back to sleep and snap your picture.
- 2 Stars: Park (Night) Research Level 1 – On alert
Obtained through a default picture of Pinsir towards the end of the second area before heading into the big meadow, you will see him walking forward along the path.
- 3 Stars: Sands (Day) Research Level 1 – Dramatic entrance!
Obtained by throwing a fluffruit into the sand pit at the end of the level with the Pinsir spikes sticking it. It will jump up through the sand, this is when you want to take the picture.
- 4 Stars: Park (Night) Research Level 3 – Which one’s stronger?
When you approach the woods from the first open area run a scan past the midway point to make Pinsir stick its horns out through the ground. Throw an illumina orb at the Crystabloom to get Pinsir to pop out all the way. Once Pinsir is out run a scan a couple times until Heracross falls out of the tree behind the Pinsir. Continue to the end of the second open area and you will see a Pinsir starting to fight with Heracross. Them battling is both of their 4 star pictures.

Thirs star can be found in the sand when you throw him a fruit in the pit thowards the end. Take a picture while he comes out of the sand.
