Need for Speed Payback has 20 Roaming Racers. They are driving around predefined routes and don’t stay in one fixed location. However, their routes are always the same even after you’ve defeated them. The easiest way to find them is go to the locations shown in the screenshots below and just wait there for 5-10 minutes. Eventually they will have to drive past that point. The Roaming Racers only show up on the map after you’ve gotten close to them, just like all other collectibles in the game. That’s the reason you might be “missing” one of them on the map. They are there, just not showing up until you’ve actually seen them on the road.
Furthermore, you must make some story progress for them to show up. They aren’t there from the start. Beat the story first and they’re all guaranteed to show up (before then they are pretty much impossible to defeat anyway). There are 4 factions, each one having 5 racers (4 “normal” ones + 1 boss). You must beat each racer 3 times to lure out the boss. After winning, the roaming racers level up (rookie, pro, veteran). The third time you face them they will be veteran level. Their car level just gets higher each time so you must upgrade your own car to stand a chance. You can also ram them off the road at the start of the challenge and then use nitrous to build a lot of distance quickly. The goal is to stay in the lead for a certain amount of time or build so much distance that it’s impossible for them to catch up. If you lose against a roaming racer you can challenge them again immediately. After you win they will disappear from the map for a short while. Just beat another racer or play an event and they will respawn in the same place as before.
Beating the roaming racers is needed for 3 trophies & achievements:
- Who Runs this Town?
– Win all the events and beat all the Roaming Racers in the game - Wherever I May Roam
– Beat all 4 Roaming Racer bosses - Supercars for Breakfast
– Beat all the members of the 1% Club roaming racers league in the Nissan GT-R

I can’t found Peach, she is not on this point, I can’t find her nowhere…?
Peach is always driving around that dirt area in the south of the big town. Just drive around that area for a little bit or wait until she drives past you. If she doesn’t spawn, reboot the game and fast travel back and forth a few times that should fix it (although normally she is supposed to spawn there at all times, if she doesn’t it might be glitchy).
I can’t seem to find Cletus

I cant find Cletus or Leanne ive tried driving around and rebooting the game does nothing to the game and ive also been trying the suggestions that youve given other racers so i dont know what to do now do i get rid of the game or keep trying
So do I have to beat each member three times?
Are all the roaming racers allways marked on the map? Even if you’ve never spoted them ones? Or, do you have to spot them ones before they are marked on the map permanently? Cause cletus is not marked for me.
You have to spot them before they get marked.
is there any way to replay a race with them ? cuz i messed up with the 1% club with 1 driver
Yes you can challenge them again as often as you want. They keep driving around in the open world (and stay marked on the map). Just challenge them again.

Sorry, but El Coco doesn’t appear in the map, I searched for routes of him and drove a few hours without results. Any sugestions pleasee??
Weird. Have you beaten the game yet? I’m pretty sure he drives around from the beginning, but I looked for all of them after the game and found them easily.
He always drives by the offroad dealership in the desert. Maybe just wait in front of the dealership for 20 minutes or so, can take him a while to arrive. Also, you are not the only one who has problems finding a particular racer, so maybe the spawns are a bit glitchy. Rebooting the game/console might help, worth a try.

i can’t even find Cletus from the location around suggested from your guide. I drive around the certain area for 2 hours but Cletus still didn’t appear. I have beat all but only Cletus. (Cry)
Maybe rebooting the game helps. I’m not sure what causes this, if this is a glitch or what. Some people have trouble finding one specific racer for unknown reasons.
I noticed something similar in my game with one racer not showing up anymore after I had beaten him. Winning one race usually makes them respawn, or rebooting the game. Try both of those options and let us know if it worked.
I have beaten all roaming racers, but I just can’t find Cletus & Forrest…. 🙁

Well Black Mamba isnt Black mamba anymore, They made him Jake Paul and replaced black’s car with RainBro (Jake’s Ford RS)
I’ve beaten every roaming pilot and bosses but I haven’t earned the trophies. I discovered that the name of Natalia Nova over her car isn’t green even if I have beaten her. So I tried again, but nothing, the name still remain yellow. So I can’t earn platinum.
Someone has the same problem? How can I resolve it?

Ive beaten the roaming racers 3times but when i want to defeat their boss the progress is lost for no reason , for example el coco or the others winning chart goes to pro or rookie and in not last on veteran , and i cant even defeat a single boss in roaming racers why this is happening?

For some reason “Black Mamba” shows up as “Jake Paul” on the XBOX ONE version of the game. Is this a Typo or a joke by the developers?

Hey, what about Jake Paul? One of the characters named,”Black Mamba” takes the same route as Jake Paul, well, I saw Jake Paul drive on that exact road. So, did Black Mamba get replaced with Jake Paul?

Cassandra and some of the others are much higher than they are supposed to be since I last played, did they increase their level in a patch? Cassandra pro is level 284 in my game.
I wonder if there’s a glitch.. bcoz until now i dont see evangeline…i already beat all of her team mate except their leader bcoz she’s not showing in the map.

If anyone has a problem of finding roaming races ( aka evangeline from my last map ) just restart the whole campaign over again then go find the others if it is still doing it again just keep restarting the campaign that’s how I fixed my map
