Need for Speed Payback has 5 Derelict Cars. Each Derelict Car consists of 5 parts. You must find the Derelict Car Part Locations to build the car. Then you can assign the finished car to a racing category of your choice (Race, Drift, Drag, Offroad, Runner). The Derelict Cars will be level 101 by default (the lowest possible level), but they can be improved by replacing parts just like any other car. Once you hit Performance Level 300 with a Derelict Car, it will unlock a Super-Build. These offer the most extreme visual customization.
Unfortunately, the Derelict Cars cannot be found from the beginning. Each car is tied to one league boss. Beating the league boss (they are at the end of quest lines), will reveal a puzzle for the Derelict Chassis in the map menu. Open the map and press / to scroll to the Derelicts section. It’s only available after beating the first boss. Then you can see a picture of the location and a drawing of the general map area. However, it doesn’t just mark it on the map. All you get is a drawing of the map, outlining the streets around the Derelict Part. Normally you’d have to cross-check the in-game map and see what streets match the drawing. This guide spares you the trouble of course and shows all the locations.
Assembling one Derelict Car unlocks the trophy / achievement “One Man’s Trash” and upgrading it to Performance Level 399 unlocks “Another Man’s Treasure”.
Ford Mustang 1965

Nissan Fairlady 240ZG 1971

First of all, thank you very much for your Trophy Guide and Roadmap on this. I have still not decided to purchase this game or not. “Chevrolet C10 Stepside Pickup 1965” look well at first sight. This is my favorite. However, if i got the game I most probably go with “Nissan Fairlady 240ZG 1971” as advised for the trophy 🙂 Regards…
