In Mortal Kombat 1 Secret Fatalities only show in the Move List after reaching Rank 14 with a fighter. Every character has two Fatality Finishers: a Primary Fatality and a Secondary Secret Hidden Fatality that must be unlocked first. Every fight you win gives some XP for your main character, and every new Rank you gain gives a reward. Rank 14 always unlocks the second Fatality for each character. Only main characters have a second fatality, Kameo characters do not.
Luckily, all Secret Fatalities can be performed from the start WITHOUT needing to unlock them first. You just need to know what buttons to press. Here’s the full list of Secret Fatality button inputs for Mortal Kombat 1 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch controller layouts. The distance to your enemy is also important, these will be shown as “Close / Mid / Far” to indicate how far from the enemy you must stand. Close is one step away, Mid is one jump distance away, Far is at the edge of the screen.
Mortal Kombat 1 Secret Fatalities Button Inputs
The below list has all secret fatality inputs when standing on the left side facing the enemy to the right. If you are standing on the right side you must press the opposite directional button (so a right-input becomes left-input and left-input becomes right-input, other buttons are the same).

Ynook says
For Reptile, the second fatality is actually done from mid distance, not close. No wonder I tried doing it like 20 times and it didn’t work.
PowerPyx says
“Close” is correct for Reptile and 100% works (as it says in the guide). Here’s an image from movelist as proof:

I did it myself from Close range, you may just stand “too Close”. “Close” means one step away (explained here in guide intro).
