Monster Hunter World Iceborne – All New Monsters

September 5, 2019 by PowerPyx 13 Comments

The Monster Hunter World Iceborne Expansion introduces 31 new monsters (27 large monsters, 4 small monsters). This list includes all the new monsters with a link to each individual monster overview (that contains a picture, elemental weaknesses, item drops, and habitats where to find them).

Out of the large 27 new monsters, 13 are variations of monsters from the main game (so nearly half). They are reskins of main game monsters that have different colors, but with a twist! They have new attacks and different weaknesses, too.

The remaining large 14 monsters are either new ones or return from older Monster Hunter games. You also get 4 small monsters exclusive to Hoarfrost Reach. It’s a mix of everything. Click the linked monster names below to see all their info.

Yes, Trophy for researching all Monsters has been unlocked and those should be all. Important to note that some extra monsters will be added via free updates (such as Rajang, which is not in the game yet). At the time of this writing the list consists of the full roster of monsters at launch.

The only other possibility: there is another monster which doesn’t count towards the research trophy (wouldn’t bet on it).
Since I haven’t found it yet, I doubt there is another one in the game for now (MR 196).

Does savage deviljho have optional quest to hunt him?or is it just invading monster during other monster hunt?

Odd but fair. I was honestly excepting a big one as last unlockable monster ( the likes of Alatreon or Fatalis ) … BruteT. and the Metal duo it’s a really strange pick.

We can only hope at this point they are saving a bit more for the DLCs. I can totally see Narga and Zin variants/sub as upcoming DLC.
