Mystery Bone is a material in Monster Hunter Wilds. It is only available in Low-Rank environments.
Item Description: Mystery Bone is a weathered bone taken from a bonepile. Erosion has left it too fragile to use in crafting.
Location: Mystery Bone is randomly gathered from Bone Piles in the following regions in low-rank only (map locations in red circles):
- Windward Plains (Low Rank only) – if you already progressed to high-rank can replay low-rank optional quests
- Scarlet Forest (Low Rank only) – if you already progressed to high-rank can replay low-rank optional quests
- Oilwell Basin (Low Rank only) – if you already progressed to high-rank can replay low-rank optional quests
- Iceshard Cliffs (Low Rank only) – if you already progressed to high-rank can replay low-rank optional quests
- Ruins of Wyveria (Low Rank only) – if you already progressed to high-rank can replay low-rank optional quests
You can get it from any of these bone piles. It’s best that you go from bonepile to bonepile and loot all of them until it drops. The way bone collecting works is that each map has a few types of bones. Each bonepile on that map can drop any bone. It’s slightly random. So bones are not restricted to one pile, but rather to a certain map. Mystery Bone is exclusive to Low Rank and doesn’t spawn in High-Rank, but you can replay optional quests at any time to return to low rank environments.
