Monster Hunter Rise All Hunting Helpers Locations

January 19, 2023 by DK Leave a Comment

In order to unlock the Copper Ecologist’s Award in Monster Hunter Rise you will have to take a picture of all the Hunting Helpers in the game. Hunting Helpers are small insects or animals that you can actively use in a hunt like Sleeptoads, Paratoads etc. There is a total of 18 Hunting Helpers you will have to take a picture of. In order to take a picture use either :left: or :right: on your D-Pad to choose the camera, equip it with either  or  and press :x: / :a: to take a picture. You will see the name of the creature that is in frame which will confirm that the picture you are taking counts.

Not all Hunting Helpers are available on each map, so you will have to visit multiple maps to find them all. This guide will split the Hunting Helpers by maps so you can take a picture of as many as possible during a single visit. You will be shown the location on the map and what the Hunting Helper looks like in-game. The guide will also mention all the other maps you can find them on but only show a single exact location for them for a better overview. You can find all the Hunting Helpers by visiting just 3 maps: Shrine Ruins, Lava Caverns and Frost Island.

It is recommended to take the pictures during Expeditions since you can take your time there. In order to go on an Expedition go to the Gathering Hub, talk to Minoto and choose Hub Quest: High Rank, Expedition Tour and choose the map you need. By holding down the Touchpad you can pull out the map and by using :r1: / :rb: you can change the map category to “Other Endemic Life” which will highlight the Hunting Helpers on the map as well.

Shrine Ruins – Poisontoad

In the watery area on the western edge of the map next to Area 10, sitting on the small island there.

In the north of area 9 take the Wirebug up and you will basically land in front of it. It sits on a cliff right next to the second Wirebug.

Shrine Ruins – Snowbeetle

On the eastern side of the rock between Areas 3 and 4.

Shrine Ruins – Mudbeetle

In the northeast corner or Area 10 you can find it rolling a ball of mud.

Shrine Ruins – Thunderbeetle

Shrine Ruins – Firebeetle

Shrine Ruins – Trapbugs

Lava Caverns – Paratoad

Head to Area 14 and in the west of the area climb down the small cliff to the lower section there. In the south you can squeeze through a crack in the rocks to enter a small passageway where the paratoad will be.

Lava Caverns – Lanternbug

Enter the tunnel in Area 4 and find it on the wall at corner of the path-split leading to Areas 9 and 11.

Lava Caverns – Gustcrab

Enter the tunnel in Area 4 and find it on the rock inside this tunnel.

Lava Caverns – Aurortle
