All collectibles for this chapter are listed in chronological order as best as possible, some locations you can’t revisit once you complete the story objectives there.
Postcard #1
After regaining control of Artyom and leaving the train, go in to the building ahead and turn around to find ‘Postcard 10’ on the right wall of the door way.
Diary #1
As part of the story you drive towards an objective that takes you through a slave camp ship clearly visible on the left of the map. Enter and when coming up the stairs at the end of the corridor turn right, then look right again to find ‘First Mate’s Diary’ on a table.
Diary #2
After the last collectible proceed and go up a ladder then in to a room ahead with several thugs, after dealing with them go up the stairs and find ‘Leader’s Letter’ on a table to the right (screenshot taken after I collected it).
Suit Upgrade #1
Climb up a ladder by the previous collectible and proceed out the doorway, make an immediate right and go around the corner to find the ‘Motion Scanner’ upgrade on a table.
Suit Upgrade #2
Shortly after the ship slave camp and when approaching the lighthouse, you will come to a split in the road, look left to find a small boat in the sand, enter to find the ‘Extra Bright Flashlight’ in plain sight.
Diary #3
Upon entering the cave section on your way to the lighthouse you will come to a lone thug dragging a body, knock him out and grab ‘Letter to Son’ on the ground to the left of the blue light stick.
Postcard #2
After taking out all enemies and entering the Lighthouse where Giul is, turn immediately back around and see ‘Postcard 11’ on the left side of the doorway.
Diary #4
When you drop down a hole in the bunker filled with spiders, proceed forwards and then left, take the first right in the office cubicle and find the diary ‘Memo’ on a table.
Diary #5
Once you come to a long corridor with blue double doors at the end, you have to crouch through a small doorway on the right as instructed by Damir over the com system, the diary ‘Image Analysis’ is straight ahead on a desk to the right.
Diary #6
After dropping down from the vent in to the map room, turn around and enter the doorway on the right to find the diary ‘Last Orders’ on the far end of the table.
Diary #7
Once you leave the bunker a ‘?’ will appear on the map, go there to meet with Anna and she will mark some locations on your map. Before this go to the ruined ship in the center of the map and make your way to the top and meet Hermit, the diary ‘Diary Fragments’ is on a crate to the left.
Diary #8
On our way up to the Oasis the Baron will make an announcement and a location just south-west of the oasis will be marked on the map. The first collectible is located on the table just outside the entrance (screenshot taken after I already collected it).
Diary #9
After the last collectible and in to the camp, after taking care of all enemies a rope ladder will be lowered for you at the end of the area, climb this and you can find diary ‘Death Note’ on a barrel right in front of you (screenshot taken after I already collected it).
Suit Upgrade #3
Look immediately to the left of the previous collectible to find ‘Armoured Glass’ on a crate.
Diary #10
After sliding down a slope with Damir proceed forward and then immediately left and climb the makeshift ramp all the way to the cop to find the diary ‘Letter to the artist’.
Postcard #3
Immediately after the previous collectible, climb down from the ramp using the nearby rope ladder and go ahead then turn left in to the rusty cabin right in front of you, turn around and see ‘Postcard 13’ on the left.
Diary #11
At the abandoned ship bandit camp that Anna marks on your map. Proceed to the end of the ship where you pull the lever to free the slaves, you’ll see the diary ‘Shopping List’ on a console (already collected when the screenshot was taken).
Postcard #4
Just to the right of the previous collectible you’ll find ‘Postcard 12’ on the wall.
Diary #12
In a nearby camp just to the east of the abandoned ship, once at the camp climb a small ladder to the right and find the ‘Charred Note’ diary to your immediate right.
Postcard #5
In the hanger south-east on the map, Anna marks this location for you. Go in to the hanger on the right and go to the end of the room where you get ambushed by ghouls, you can find this post next to a blue crate on the right.
Suit Upgrade #4
In the same area, climb through the ruined building filled with numerous ghouls next to the helicopter wreck to find the ‘NVD Amplifier’ upgrade on a chair in the top room.
Suit Upgrade #5
The final suit upgrade is just to the left of the main road leading to the oil rig objective. There is a pathway by the end of the cliff leading in to a small cave with the ‘Consumables Carrier’ upgrade.
That’s 100% of the collectibles you can find in The Caspian Chapter of Metro Exodus.

Can you go back to the lighthouse after the mission where I have been saving Giul? Thanks.
Andrew says
Don’t think so 🙁 The door you come down to the bunker through is locked, and the cave you went up initially is glitched out — I think they remove it from the map to save memory but neglected to actually block you from going in.
Eddie says
Needs to be marked as missable ***

There is also a photo of Giul’s mother that is needed for a side mission close to Diary #6 in the comma bunker. You get water as a reward for returning the photo. It is not the primary purpose of this guide, but would be nice to be included in the collectible description.

I missed the ammo pouches suit upgrade in the Volga but found it on this level. It was north west of the hermit in a small area with 3 enemies talking about finding a bunch of weapons. In an old container.

Collected diary No, 11 (shopping list), but it did not count to my collection… It is not on console described anymore, even when I played this mission second time. Did anyone experienced same thing?
Mac says
It counted for me. I just checked my diary list.
