Introduction

Welcome to the Metal Gear 1 & 2 (PS4/PS5 Master Collection) Trophy Guide! Metal Gear (1987) and Metal Gear 2 (1990) are remastered ports, released to commemorate the series’ 35th anniversary. You can play through each game in about 2-3 hours, then finish the Boss survival in both games and you are done with the platinum. There are no missable trophies in this collection. Practically all trophies are automatic from the story.

Step 1: Finish Story of Metal Gear 1 & Metal Gear 2

It doesn’t matter which game you start first. You can select ‘easy’ difficulty if you wish. Play through the story to finish one game, then finish the other game. All trophies are automatic from the story and unmissable, except reading the story compendium which is available from the start through the Main Menu.

Step 2: Finish Boss Survival

For this, you must have beaten the story in each game. Then you can select the Boss Survival Mode from the main menu in each game. In this mode you must beat all bosses without dying. If you die at the last boss, you must start from the first. You fight one after another. Your health does not recover after a fight. Finish the boss survival in both games and you are done with this step.

Step 3: Read all the Pages in the Story Compendium

Select the Screenplay Book from the collections Main Menu, select the Metal Gear 1 book, skip through all pages and the Platinum will be yours.

	Zanzibar Land Big Boss Defeat Big Boss in Metal Gear 2
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks right after you defeat Big Boss which is the eleventh and final boss in this game.
	Operation Intrude F014 Complete Complete Metal Gear 2

From the collections main menu, select Screenplay Book. Then just press  and skip through all pages and the trophy will pop.
