Mass Effect Andromeda How to Switch Weapon in Multiplayer

Here’s how to switch weapons in Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer mode:

• PS4: Hold Square Button
• Xbox One: Hold X Button

This is for the default controller layout.
You can look it up under game settings > controls > combat. Weapons can be equipped in the multiplayer menu under “Character Customization”. So make sure you have two weapons equipped before the match, otherwise it won’t work. New weapons can be unlocked by opening loot boxes in the Store.

The game never explains how to do it in multiplayer. In singleplayer you get a tutorial that holding Touchpad (PS4) / View Button (XB1) opens the weapon wheel. In multiplayer, however, there is no such weapon wheel.

The same buttons also work in the campaign for a quick weapon swap without having to open the weapon wheel.

You can also switch shoulders by pressing the right stick (R3). This allows you to aim around corners more easily.
