This Lost Judgment walkthrough will guide you through all the main choices of the Finale for 100% completion.
Finale Walkthrough
Rescue the Girls
There are a whole lot of cutscenes at the start of the Finale chapter, then Yagami is in Ijincho and needing to head to Yokohama 99 to speak with Tsukumo, then over to Kamurocho to meet up with Saori as Genda Law Office. You need to wait for her to get ready, so you are supposed to kill time in Kamurocho before coming back. Like prior times you can immediately force the next part to trigger by taking the taxi to and from Ijincho, then Saori will call and tell you to meet her at Tokyo Detention Center to speak with Ehara.
When you meet with Ehara choose the option “He still has the murder weapon.”
You’ll then automatically be back in Kamurocho, and the game will prompt you (the first of two times) about this more or less being the “point of no return”. When it says this it’s basically just warning you that you’ll be locked into finishing the story events once you progress more, so if you felt like doing side content in Kamurocho before finishing the story you should work on it now.
When you’re done in Kamurocho for now take the taxi to Ijincho, then head over to the Yokohama Liumang Hideout to go over info with the crew. Go through all dialogue options you are given to proceed. You’ll then get prompted whether you want to do stuff in town still or go to sleep and proceed to the next day.
When you’re ready to continue further go to Yokohama 99 and speak to Sugiura outside. You’ll now get the second of two “point of no return” warnings, and after this one, you are totally locked into finishing the story if you proceed.
After speaking upstairs, go over to the abandoned building where Mikoshiba’s murder occurred. You’re now going to have a large fight inside with a bunch of RK members. Ishikawa functions as the miniboss during this fight, which him wielding a pipe off the start that you can’t disarm.
Like prior fights, it’s best to focus all the grunts first, disarming them if you want, or just taking them out quickly. Nobody in this group has guns, only melee weapons so you don’t need to worry about getting shot from range. You also get direct help from Higashi, as well as Tsukumo piloting a drone and occasionally dropping smoke bombs onto the enemies stunning them temporarily.
Solving the Case
Once you’ve finished the fight there will be a number of scenes, then a month will pass and you will automatically be back at Yagami Detective Agency. Leave Yagami’s office to immediately go to court for Ehara’s case.
You will be presenting a bunch of evidence in a row and making arguments about it. You can’t fail during this section at all, you eventually have to pick the correct answer, so if you want to get it right you can follow the choices below.
Select the evidence “Overhead View of Station Platform”.
Select the option “We have reason to doubt the victim’s credibility.”
Select the option “You’re familiar with Jin Kuwana, yes?”, then select the evidence “Recorded call with Sawa-sensei.”
After presenting that final evidence the court case will be complete.
Punching Lots of Dudes
You will now automatically be back in Ijincho. The game gives you one final warning about the battles ahead being intense. From this point until the end of the story is the point in every Yakuza game where you spend nearly an hour just fighting dudes, so you should stock up on healing items now if you think you’ll need them. You can still run around to basically every store in Ijincho currently, just don’t go near the marked spot where Kaito is standing by the van until you’re ready to proceed.
Before you’re able to get in the van to go to the warehouse, you’re attacked by a group of general RK members. Not a whole lot special going on here, most of them have weapons, and a few more show up as you defeat the first group, but nothing overly strenuous yet.
After they’ve been dealt with you automatically go to the warehouse to search for Kuwana. Outside you’ll be attacked by the largest group of enemies in any Yakuza game so far. There are probably about 100 guys you fight in this first area, and they just keep showing up for quite a while. Most are unarmed, some have bats, and you can tell that you’re almost done because one miniboss enemy will show up with a gun.
You’ll automatically move into the warehouse now, where you immediately have some more RK guys to fight. This is a decently sized group, but no extras show up in this room so what you see at the start is all there is. A couple of the guys have stun guns that can be annoying, but that’s about it.
Go into the marked elevator, then you’ll have one more small group of guys to deal with before you get a short Parkour break.
When they’re dealt with you’ll be stuck in the current room and need to look for an exit. Opposite the locked door inspect the air conditioning units by the white-walled room, then turn to the left and look at the orange barrels with the gap above them to spot where you’re supposed to go.
Parkour your way up and over, then interact with the door to open it for the rest of the guys.
Inspect the next door in this room and you’ll have to pick the lock to get through.
Kaito and Higashi stay behind in the next room to hold off some guys, and Yagami and Siguira go ahead further. In the next room crawl through the gap in the shelving, then parkour up the pips to the next set of shelving and jump across to the next set.
Keep following the pipes on the wall to get down to the next area, where you’ll have some more RK dudes to fight. Sugiura gets stuck up on the walkway, so you’re dealing with these ones by yourself.
Most of these guys have weapons so disarm them if you want. Once you’ve dealt with the first few some more enemies will break through the shelving and come to join, but they’re not much to worry about either aside from possibly the guy wielding the katana.
When they’re dealt with follow the marker through the shelving into the next area, where you’ll need to do some more parkour to progress. Inspect the gap above between the orange barrels to spot where you’re going, then the air conditioning units around the corner for how to get up there.
Climb your way up using the orange pallets, then shimmy along the wall to the next area. When you reach the metal beam going across you walk on it at the start, then will have to climb down to be hanging on it so you can proceed to the end.
Wall run across to the next platform, then climb up then down the ducts to get to the lower area on the other side.
In this next room before going to the objective there are actually two items you want to grab. Go past the boxes to the far south end of the room to find a Staminan Spark in the corner.
Then do the same thing going to the far north end of the room to obtain Resistance Pants (if you miss this here they can be purchased from a shop in Ijincho, but they’re pretty expensive).
Go to the objective and the boys show up to help you again. You’ll be fighting another group of RK guys in the next room, though not really much more difficult than before. Sugita is a miniboss, but doesn’t wield a weapon like the other normal enemies, so he’s not much trouble.
Go through the marked elevator when you’re ready to proceed, and you will immediately be going into the last three fights of the game.
This first fight is technically a fight against Soma, but it’s not actually the “real” boss fight against him.
There are a bunch of other RK dudes who try to fight you at the same time, and they constantly appear after you defeat them, so this is the one time you don’t want to focus on the grunts before the main enemy. You want to focus on Soma whenever possible, because he runs away when he reaches just over half his health remaining, ending the fight. Group EX attacks are helpful during this fight to get him down while avoiding damage from the other enemies, such as EX Finishing Blow, where when in EX boost you perform an attack at the end of a that hits up to 3 enemies at once.
Yagami chases Soma into the nearby room, where you now have the final save point of the game before you have the two final boss fights.
Kazuki Soma
This is now the “real” boss fight against Soma, where you fight him one-on-one in this freezer.
He has quite a bit more health than before, but this fight starts off relatively close to how the prior one worked. He mainly slashes with his knife, then watch if he glows orange because if you attack him during that animation he’ll do a reversal and attack you.
When he reaches the dark purple health bar is when he charges up and starts doing silly stuff. He’ll do his Deadly Attack like before where he charges towards you, which should be fairly easy to avoid now from him.
The main silly thing to watch for is where he starts walking backward and moves extremely quickly behind you to try and stab you. This typically leads to him doing the grab attack if you don’t manage to get out of the way or attack into him moving.
Once you reach the end of his health bar there will be a quicktime event you need to succeed at to end the fight. If you fail the quicktime then he gets some health back, and you’ll need to beat him until you reach the quicktime again and succeed.
Jin Kuwana
With Soma dealt with, the only person left to deal with is Jin Kuwana, and Yagami insists on beating some sense into him.
The fight with Kuwana starts in the same area the group fight was in before, which is somewhat helpful because there might actually be some weapons you can pick up to use for extra damage.
This initial part in the lower area Kuwana does largely the same attacks as he did the last time you fought him. Dodges a lot, will sometimes slide at you, or jump into the air and kick downwards towards you.
Once you’ve knocked off a little under two health bars, the fight automatically moves upstairs onto top of the shelving. Kuwana will now start doing the same sort of charge attack as Soma, where if you attack him during it he throws you behind then tries to attack you while you’re down.
Otherwise, he is still about the same as before. He charges up halfway through his purple health bar, then does the lunging Deadly Attack at you.
He also has a quicktime event at the end of his final health bar that you need to succeed at to win. If you fail he regains some health, then you need to do it again.
After Kuwana has been defeated, you get the remainder of the cutscenes and have completed the Lost Judgment story! You make a Clear Save after the credits, then loading that from the main menu puts you back in the game to continue cleaning up and side content you had left to do.
