Chapter 10 Walkthrough
More Interviewing
At the start of the chapter, you will be back at Game Center Charles speaking with Yui again. Once the scenes finish you are supposed to go kill time in Kamurocho. If you want to force the story to progress immediately you can just take the taxi to and from Ijincho, then Sugiura will call you back immediately.
Back at Charles, you will be speaking with Yui one more time asking her about the evidence you have. You can show her a few different ones for extra info, but to progress, you need to show her “Hiro Mikoshiba’s Murder Footage” and “Ehara’s Transit Card”.
After you are finished speaking with her head to Yagami Detective Agency and rest on the couch. The next day you’ll need to take a taxi to Tokyo Detention Center to interview Ehara once more. When showing him evidence, select “Hiro Mikoshiba’s Murder Footage”, then respond with “Did Sawa-sensei tell you what happened?”
Back in Kamurocho go into Genda Law Office to speak with the group. When given the option select “We should listen to Saori-san.” Once finished take the taxi back to Ijincho and go to Yokohama 99 to meet with Tsukumo.
Detective Watanabe
After speaking with Tsukumo you’re meant to kill some more time in Ijincho. You don’t need to take the taxi to force it this time, just run a short distance away from Yokohama 99 and Sugiura will immediately call you telling you to come back. You then need to go to Chinatown to try and meet up with Detective Watanabe. The game gives you a search area of the entirety of Chinatown, but you can just run into the middle of the 4-way intersection and you’ll automatically run into him.
After some discussion, you go speak in the park and get into your first boss fight of this chapter against Watanabe.
Watanabe uses a baton the entire fight which you can’t disarm him of, so don’t worry about trying. He doesn’t do anything super out of the ordinary, mostly just swinging with it when you’re close. When you reach his second health bar there will be a quicktime event to watch out for.
At half health he’ll charge up, then will perform a Deadly Attack that is just a large swing in front of himself, very easy to reversal or dodge around. After that there are no new mechanics going on, so finish him off.
The Geomijul
You will now need to go to the Geomijul area of Ijincho to look for Kuwana. If you played Yakuza: Like a Dragon this will be another familiar area, that is blocked off this entire game after the events from then. Go to the marked location on the map to start your entry. The area is swarming with police, so you need to sneak your way in. First, go beside the white garbage truck to grab yourself a free Gold Plate and slide by the crowd.
In the next area, you’ll need to start distracting the officers to get by. Throw a coin to distract the one to your left, then move around the left of the white car to the next marked spot. Thow another coin to make the officer speaking to the woman turn around so you can continue.
The next officer will start walking away from you, if you’re quick you can toss a coin before he moves too far so he doesn’t turn back towards you. You should then quickly turn into the small alley area to the left where there is an item to pick up, the EX-4 shirt (you can purchase this from a store if you miss it here, but it’s not cheap).
Keep moving down the road, then when you reach the next spot look up at the drone in the sky to have Tsukumo distract the two officers by the door, allowing you to get inside.
Follow the marked path up into the building, then Sugiura will arrive to help you out. If you’re quiet inside you can sneak past the first group of enemies and just go up the stairs to the next floor, then back outside. Go up the next two flights of stairs, then go down the side of the building when prompted for another free Gold Plate, and inspect the arrow sign on the wall across from the balcony to spot a way up.
Jump across and follow the parkour path to get up to the roof of the building. Be aware you can fall off the roof in this area, but if you do it just puts you back to the start with some lost health.
On the roof you will be attacked by a group of enemies. Deal with them, then before continuing go in the open door in the corner of the roof (not up the stairs) to find a spot where you can save your game.
When ready to continue go up the stairs and go through the marked door for the last fight of this area. You’ll be attacked by more RK members, though no significant characters here. The main thing to worry about during this fight is that a few of the enemies will have guns, so you will want to deal with them first if possible because getting shot isn’t fun.
Where’s Kuwana Again
After leaving the Geomijul area you’ll now need to go into the Yokohama Liumang area to speak with Kuwana again. You’ll be going over some info with him, so when prompted select “Public Security”, followed by “They’re working with Reiko Kusumoto.”
After some more words are had, you’ll now have your second boss fight of the chapter, another go with Jin Kuwana.
He is relatively unchanged mechanics-wise from the prior fight, though he now has more health. One thing to watch for is before he powers up he’ll sometimes glow white and put his hands together. If you attack him when he’s doing this he’ll perform a counter to your attack, such as throwing you away then trying to grab you.
As with other bosses, he charges up at half health and starts doing Deadly Attacks. Not much else to be said about the fight though, and he doesn’t pull any quicktime events on you this time. After he’s beaten the group will all settle down and agree to work together, then you need to go to Yokohama 99 again to continue your plan. You’ll need to go to the marked Construction Site in the northwest corner of the city to look for the RK members you’ve baited out.
These guys aren’t anything special after the fight with Kuwana and they don’t even have any weapons, so put them down quickly to reach the end of the chapter.
