This guide shows the best way to unlock All Endings in The Lords of the Fallen (2023). There are a number of steps you need to take to get all the endings. However, it is important that you get all the endings on one character for the Platinum trophy / 1000 Gamerscore, as you will need all the weapons, spells and armour on a single character. Some of these items are linked to endings. Lords of the Fallen has three unique endings, which must be unlocked for the trophies & achievements: Lord of the Risen , In Light we Walk , Back to the Void . With the exception of the Umbral ending, the endings are fairly simple. However, despite the simplicity of these endings, care must be taken as they are all highly missable if making a wrong choice.
The game has only 1 Autosave and no Manual Saves so be extremely careful – if in doubt back up your save to PlayStation Plus Cloud before important points (or if you’re on PC back it up locally, on Xbox back it up in Cloud). If something goes wrong you can at least restore the last Cloud Backup and replay from there. Otherwise you would need a whole additional New Game+ playthrough and redo all steps.
Adyr Ending (Evil Ending) – Lord of the Risen Trophy
In order to unlock the Adyr ending, you are not allowed to cleanse a single beacon in the game. Therefore, keep in mind that you do not interact with a single beacon in this playthrough, otherwise you won’t get the trophy!
This is what beacons look like (red light) – don’t interact with them:
In the following areas the beacons must be ignored.
- Forsaken Fen (After the “Hushed Saint” Boss)
- Fief of the Winter Curse (After the “The Hollow Crow” Boss)
- Tower of Penance ( After the “Reinhold the Immured” Boss)
- The Empyrean (After the “Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel” Boss)
- Upper Calrath (After the “The Lightreaper” Boss)
Then we move on to the next step. Here we need to get the rune of Adyr. This can be found in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters in the Great Hall. To get the rune we simply have to interact with it and complete a small boss fight.
Then it’s on to the Bramis Castle area. Here we have to play to the end and kill the boss The Sundered Monarch in the throne room. After killing him, go up the stairs and talk to Adyr’s effigy to get the Rune of Adyr.
After the dialogue we get the Empowered Rune of Adyr, with the task that we overload the beacons. From here on we have to return to all the beacons and overload them. We need to travel to the following beacons and use the Empowered Rune of Adyr. For the best route, go to The Empyrean area at the end, as this is where the quest continues.
- Forsaken Fen (After the “Hushed Saint” Boss)
- Fief of the Winter Curse (After the “The Hollow Crow” Boss)
- Tower of Penance ( After the “Reinhold the Immured” Boss)
- Upper Calrath (After the “The Lightreaper” Boss)
- The Empyrean (After the “Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel” Boss)
If Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel has not yet been killed, this must be done. Afterwards we overload the beacon and talk to Judge, who kneels in front of the beacon and cries. Here we use the Empowered Rune of Adyr on her to enter her mind.
Now we have to talk to Iselle, who is standing in front of us. Here we unlock the trophy Lord of the Risen .
Radiant Ending (Good Ending) – In Light we Walk Trophy
In order to unlock the Radiant ending, you must cleanse ALL the beacons in the game. In the following areas the beacons must be cleansed:
- Forsaken Fen (After the “Hushed Saint” Boss)
- Fief of the Winter Curse (After the “The Hollow Crow” Boss)
- Tower of Penance ( After the “Reinhold the Immured” Boss)
- The Empyrean (After the “Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel” Boss)
- Upper Calrath (After the “The Lightreaper” Boss)
This ending is relatively simple and straightforward. The ending is also one that most players unlock during normal gameplay.
Umbral Ending (Secret Ending) – Back to the Void Trophy
In order to unlock the Umbral ending, you are not allowed to cleanse a single beacon in the game. Therefore, keep in mind that you will not interact with a single beacon in this playthrough, otherwise you won’t get the trophy! In the following areas the beacons must be ignored:
- Forsaken Fen (After the “Hushed Saint” Boss)
- Fief of the Winter Curse (After the “The Hollow Crow” Boss)
- Tower of Penance ( After the “Reinhold the Immured” Boss)
- The Empyrean (After the “Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel” Boss)
- Upper Calrath (After the “The Lightreaper” Boss)
Umbral Ending is the most complicated of the three Endings! Follow all the steps exactly to unlock the ending. Also note that you must not interact with the door of Bramis Castle where you fight the Iron Wayfarer, as you need a different rune for this ending. If you interact with the wrong rune with the rooted door and/or clean a beacon, the Umbral ending cannot be achieved!
This guide also unlocks the Trophy: The Last Step (The Iron Wayfarer’s journey finally ends.), which you can get if you’re going for the Umbral Ending! So keep talking to The Iron Wayfarer.
Step 1: Talk to The Iron Wayfarer in Defiled Sepulchre
Step 2: Talk to The Iron Wayfarer in Skyrest Bridge before the Bossfight “Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal”.
Step 3: Talk to Daramrose the Marked in Pilgrim’s Perch before the Boss “Scourged Sister Delyth” to move her to the next location.
Step 4: Free the blacksmith Gerlinde in Pilgrim’s Perch. So Gerlinde the blacksmith will move on to Sykrest Bridge.
Step 5: Talk to Damarose the Marked again in Pilgrim’s Perch, who is standing in front of the Boss Arena of “Gentle Gaverus Mistress of Hounds” to advance her quest.
Step 6: Talk to The Iron Wayfarer in Forsaken Fen.
Step 7: Now we need to talk to Damarose The Marked in Fritzroy’s Gorge. Optionally, you can kill the mini-boss on the left path to get the Laughter Gesture from Damarose later, in case you missed it.
Step 8: Now talk to Damarose in her last location at the Shrine of Adyr. She will now stay here and we have a fast-travel spot here. (If you play the ending in New Game+, there is also a fast travel point here that can be activated)
Step 9: Talk to The Iron Wayfarer in Lower Calrath.
Step 10: Now fight your way to the Revelation Depth. There you have to defeat the first two-phase boss “Harrower Derivia the Pledged Knight” and “The Unbroken Promise”. Afterward, interact with the strange well in the boss area up the stairs.
Step 11: Now return to the Skyrest Bridge and speak to Molhu in the Umbral World. He will sell you a Scouring Clumb for 50 Umbral Scourings. Buy it.
Step 12: Now go back to the Boss Arena to the well in the Revelation Depths. Interact with it and use the Scouring Club. Interact with it and use the Scouring Clumb. You are now in a new area called Mother’s Lull.
Step 13: Speak to the Umbral Figure. It will give you a Damarose Seedpot.
Step 14: Now travel to the Shrine of Adyr and use the Seedpot on Damarose the Marked to kill her.
Step 15: Now return to Mother’s Lull to get the Seedpot from Gerlinde.
Step 16: Now travel to Skyrest Bridge and talk to Gerlinde to use the seed. WARNING: This will kill Gerlinde. We can no longer upgrade weapons or use runes! Upgrade your equipment beforehand if necessary. Alternatively, get all three runes beforehand and give them to Sparky to unlock the blacksmith at the shrine.
Step 17: Talk to The Iron Wayfarer in Upper Calrath. He is in the long hallway in front of the Umbral Stigma. Rest after speaking to him so that he can move on.
Step 18: Talk to The Iron Wayfarer in Upper Calrath again. This time he is standing in front of the large ladder going up towards the tower. Talk to him and see his Umbral Stigma!
Step 19: Kill the Lightreaper either outside Upper Calrath or up in the Plaza. However, it is easier in Upper Calrath. Once you kill the Lightreaper, you get his Umbral Parasite.
Step 20: Travel back to Sykrest Bridge and put the Lightreaper’s Umbral Parasite into the pillar near Molhu while in Umbral.
Step 21: Now continue towards “Manse of the Hallowed Brothers”. Speak to the Iron Wayfarer here again. He is on the main path.
Step 22: Now get the Rune of Adyr in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters in the Great Hall. Fight the boss. Once you have spoken to the Iron Wayfarer at each location you will get help from him.
Step 23: Now go back up to Upper Calrath and fight the Iron Wayfarer in front of the rooted gate. Once you’re done fighting, DO NOT interact with the rooted door. Otherwise the ending is a failure and you have to do everything again!
Step 24: Now return to Mothers’s Lull and speak to the Umbral figure. Swap the Rune of Adyr for the Withered Rune of Adyr. You also get Melchior’s Seedpod.
Step 25: Use the Withered Rune of Adyr on the rooted door.
Step 26: Now go to Bramis Castle and play until you reach the boss The Sundered Monarch. Kill him.
Step 27: Use the seedpot from Melichor on Effigy from Adyr. This will kill him and the quest will continue.
Step 28: Now fight your way through Fief of the Chill Curse. There you can find the Iron Wayfarer while traveling in Umbral. Talk to him and use the Withered Rune of Adyr on him to kill him. This will give you Hakyn’s Umral Parasite. This also unlocks the trophy The Last Step .
Step 29: Return to Skyres Bridge and put Harkyn’s Parasites into the Pillar near Molhu.
Step 30: Afterward, talk to Molhu and he will reveal that Pieta is your next victim. Then rest once.
Step 31: Talk to Pieta and select the Soulflay dialogue option. You will then be teleported directly to a boss fight.
Step 32: Kill “Elianne the Starved”. This boss fight is very difficult. After that you get her Umbral Parasite.
Step 33: After killing Elianne the Starved you will need to Soulflay the Umbral Stigma to get the Remembrance of Elianne the Starved.
Step 34: Now speak to Molhu FOR THE LAST TIME. This is YOUR LAST CHANCE TO BUY EVERYTHING FROM MOLHU. Buy all MISSING REMEMBRANCE ITEMS and also the Elianne Items. Otherwise you HAVE TO play the Umbral Ending again.
Step 35: Return Elianne’s Parasite to the Pillar near Molhu.
Step 36: Now speak to Molhu and select the option Enter Mother’s Lull.
Step 37: Soulflay your way forward and interact with the large Alien figure to see the Secret Ending and get the trophy Back to the Void .
Warning: The game may crash at this point! One solution is to remove all wearables before the end.
After this you should have all 3 Endings done. If you failed any ending you can keep doing as many New Game+ playthroughs as you want, the game can be replayed infinitely. Just make sure to get all 3 Endings on the same character for all the item rewards needed for trophies. Playing in New Game+ is a bit more annoying due to most fast travel being unavailable and enemies being harder but it’s necessary to do all 3 Endings on the same character if you want all Trophies & Achievements.

Thanks for the guide, unexpected surprise!
What unique items do you get thanks to each ending?
I understand that killing Adyr and Elliane will grant the respective remembrance items and must be completed without save scum, yet what is obtained for Lords of the Risen?
Omar says
I was wondering the same question
Justin says
So are you saying 3 play through s are needed with a single character for the platinum?
PowerPyx says
That’s correct. 3 playthroughs with the same character for Platinum, because you need all items from each ending.
AHMED TALAL says
Hello thanks so much for this guide
i have a question please
what i understood that i can’t get the platinum in one playthrough is that right ?
i already cleanse two beacons so two endings are gone i think so i must go to NG + from what i understood .
in new game plus i heard that there is no visatges i can use but i can plant them in flower beds
how many i can plant in new game plus ?
thanks
PowerPyx says
You need 3 playthroughs minimum for platinum, one for each ending, because you need the items from each ending for their respective trophies.
If you already cleansed some beacons you can go for 2nd ending to cleanse all of them.

They just updated with s patch more new game plus options. Google it best to see the differences.. it’s more forgiving now:)

Hello,
Thank you for this guide. Can you confirm that farming armors online are not required in order to get the related trophy?
Many thanks 🙂
Jeremy says
Someone on Reddit with platinum said you do not need the online armors.
Kahan says
They said:
From today’s patch onward, now when you complete your initial playthrough, you will be presented with a new option before embarking on your next runthrough; you can either progress directly to the next consecutive NG (i.e if you’ve just completed NG+1, you would move onto NG+2), or you can replay the current NG at the same difficulty
[…]
This will allow trophy hunters and completionists to seek out any outstanding tasks without having to contend with increased difficulty, should they so choose.
AHMED TALAL says
yes i read it but this patch will come to steam first i think consoles will wait more for this patch
Kim says
but do you really mean it? so I can do all 3 endings while remaining in the first NG? without going to NG+? for example it keeps me saved so ibiss beaten between one “NG” and another?
Josh says
Has conole update gone live for staying on NG instead of going to NG+1?
J says
That’s happening on Thursday.

Thank you very much, excellent work!

Great help & highly informative!!
AHMED TALAL says
can i got adyr remembrance in the umbral ending because i didnt buy his stuff in the radiant ending ? ( i read that you killed adyr with the seedpot )
Donisharko says
Thanks for this amazing guide!
To add, and to prevent doing more than 3 playthroughs, you MUST do Damarose with Adyr’s ending. Dunmire with Umbral ending.
I followed through this guide so I did Adyr’s ending, and tried to do as much side quests as I can. So I also did Dunmire. I already did Adyr’s ending and just then I found Adyr’s shrine with Damarose nearby. I already got the Damarose seed pod so I selected the option, and it killed her. I think my quest with Damarose locked once I obtained her seed pod, I could possibly just progressed Dunmire’s quest without getting the seed pod.
Karlchen007 says
I did both Damrose and Dunmire Quest on my Adyr ending. Dunmire quest is not linked to Umbral ending.
Samuel Camilo says
Hi guys! If you defeat the Hushed Saint BEFORE talking to Iron Wayfarer he will disappear for good and the Umbral Ending is not possible anymore.
I did that myself…learned the hard way…heheheheheh…
Sebastian says
You CANNOT defeat Lightreaper in Upper Calrath before Rapturous Huntress Boss in the Abbey without failing Iron Wayfarer quest. In order to get lightreaper to spawn at all in Upper Calrath, you need to defeat all beacon bosses, which requires you to go through the Abbey to Judge Cleric, past the Rapturous Huntress boss. Defeating Rapturous Huntress boss together with Iron Wayfarer is part of his quest, therefore killing her without him will fail his quest. Either kill Lightreaper outside of Upper Calrath, or follow Iron Wayfarer quest until you defeat Rapturous Huntress boss with him. Only THEN can you proceed onto Judge Cleric which then unlocks Lightreaper spawn in Upper Calrath. This guide should recommend killing him in the first 3 areas and if unsuccessful, proceeding first with Iron Wayfarer quest and then killing Lightreaper in Upper Calrath after.
Sebastian says
After step 22 (killing Rapturous Huntress of the Dusk with Iron Wayfarer), a new stigma tied to his questline near where we fought Pieta now appears. This is next to the shortcut door which leads to Upper Calrath. This is required for the all stigmas achievement. This guide should add this little piece of information, because just following this guide people will be unaware of this and miss it.
Falcon857 says
You have to fight boss for rune of adyr before lightreaper.. or he doesn’ spawn!!!
Correct step:
17: Talk to The Iron Wayfarer in Upper Calrath.
Step 19: Now continue towards “Manse of the Hallowed Brothers”. Speak to the Iron Wayfarer here again. He is on the main path.
Step 20: Now get the Rune of Adyr in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters in the Great Hall. Fight the boss. Once you have spoken to the Iron Wayfarer at each location you will get help from him.
Step 21: Kill the Lightreaper either outside Upper Calrath or up in the Plaza. However, it is easier in Upper Calrath. Once you kill the Lightreaper, you get his Umbral Parasite.
Step 23: Travel back to Sykrest Bridge and put the Lightreaper’s Umbral Parasite into the pillar near Molhu while in Umbral.
Step 23: Now go back up to Upper Calrath and fight the Iron Wayfarer in front of the rooted gate. Once you’re done fighting, DO NOT interact with the rooted door. Otherwise the ending is a failure and you have to do everything again!
Etc..
