The list is largely completion based. We must finish 40 substories, reach Level 70, raise all stats to maximum, complete all Life Links, gather 70 Memoirs of a Dragon, raised 7 jobs to rank 30, complete all of Julie’s investments, register 200 Sujimon, complete all Sujimon substories, all crazy delivery courses, all Sicko Snap courses. There’s a story trophy for each story chapter. We must also finish the Dondoko Island story and conquer the Underground & Hawaiian Hunt.

The main list doesn’t have any difficulty-related trophies for Platinum. But interestingly, the game launches with a DLC list that does have difficulty trophies in New Game+. For 100% completion on the DLC we’ll have to beat New Game+ on the highest difficulty “Legend” (not needed for the Platinum trophy).

What are your thoughts on the Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth trophy list? Do you like what you see? Are you going for the Platinum? For all solutions check out Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Trophy Guide & Roadmap.

Run-of-the-mill list, probably grindy depending on how long it takes to grind Dondoko and the Sujimon. NG+ and an exclusive dungeon being behind a paywall (especially NG+) are already embarrassing, but a DLC trophy list dedicated to said extra content at launch is probably even more upsetting.

Seems like it’ll be easier than 7’s as there is no trophy that’s similar to the True Final Millennium Tower. Thankfully it also doesn’t require 100% completion like Gaiden or 7.

No tower but we don’t know how hard is going to be those 2 dungeons from main list oof, and one from dlc right probably this the tough one i love it but at same time i hate sega for doing this. New game + as dlc bruh

Yeah I could be wrong but I agree that locking NG+ behind DLC is a bad move from Sega. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Sounds like it is fairly straightforward, with plenty of content. A little odd having DLC trophies right out of the gate, but I was planning on buying any extra content anyway, so it doesn’t bother me. I would buy any Like A Dragon game regardless, so it doesn’t matter too much what the Trophy list looks like.

I’m not a fan of day 1 DLC, especially when it is a feature that most games give out for free. I hope this does not become the standard for the franchise.

This series has had unnecessary “DLC” in the past, but having day 1 DLC be New Game Plus is really bad (they already did this in Japan with Yakuza: Like a Dragon). This game costs £60/$70 and all content should just be in the standard edition. Sega and Atlus continue their habit of annoying nonsense like this…

Guessing they saw how few completed the True Final Millennium Tower in 7 and nixed that trophy.

Nah, True Final Millennium Tower was DLC in the original Japanese release (along with NG+) which they rolled into the base game for the worldwide release, so it was only ever actually required for the platinum outside of the Japanese launch version.

Since they’re doing a WW launch for this we’re all getting hit with the “NG+ is DLC” decision, so the equivalent trophy on this list is actually going to most likely be one of the final DLC trophies.

NG+ isn’t just some mode programmers enable and tick a box to make things more difficult… I don’t get why people think its that easy to create a second game mode. While a lot of devs do give free NG+ options, a lot of the time you have to wait a few months after the game comes out for that mode to be enabled.

My first thought it NG+ is going to be different than the usual NG+ because in the description it is attached to a whole new chapter in the story called The Big Swell. Then there’s 3 difficulties for the mode which means it’s 3 different NG+ modifiers to choose from.

Devs have to make NG+ interesting, if carrying over preused characters in an RPG setting. IT has to unlock higher character levels and give a reason to go beyond level 70. So that means NEW MOVES post level-70, with that means new animations that have to be created.

So NG+ isn’t just modifying enemies to take and deal more damage, its probably adding stuff to the game. I bet the level cap goes from 70 to 100, especially since there’s 3 difficulties associated with it.

I bet it’s the same exact game with enemies scaling to your level and the only difficulty we’ll be unlocking by finishing a fresh new game will be Legend. Maybe they’re going to push the level cap to 99, but whole new chapter in the story? The Big Swell is an exclusive dungeon.
I think they decided to put NG+ in a DLC pack with some Sujimon, some boosters for the Dondoko minigame and a whole new dungeon because charging for NG+ alone would have been scummy even for them…and yet they failed to realise it’s still scummy. I’m not even going to comment the cosmetic drivel DLCs and the booster pack (or the karaoke songs for out music player), they’re charging 3 usable characters for the Battle Arena in Gaiden 8 damn Euros, ffs…

Having day 1 DLC and also having NG+ be locked off by that day 1 DLC is an absolute shambles

Might not have to pay for that NG+ DLC though. Won’t know until it drops probably.

100 hrs at least with all the work but it’s not impossible. Let’s see how Kiryu’ final story ends.

Looks good. There’s no mention of whether 100% completion will be required, but if it’s anything like the first game, you’ll pretty much have to do everything in order to max out social links and skills, so I would assume the same is true this time.

And that’s what I want! A few recent Yakuza games have dropped the completion requirements altogether, and it feels really depressing finishing everything when the game doesn’t expect you to…
