Introduction
Welcome to the Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name Trophy Guide! Like a Dragon Gaiden is a spinoff of the main Like a Dragon series, functioning as a story bridge between Yakuza 6, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth showing what Kiryu was doing between each game and how he ends up being involved in the story of Infinite Wealth. The game functions much closer to Yakuza 6 and Kiwami 2 in its content and systems, so if you’ve played either of those two a lot of the side content will seem familiar. It is also a much shorter game than typical, with the story and side content being about half as long.
Trophy-wise you need to finish the story and a bulk of the meaningful side content, though keeping with some other recent releases you don’t need to complete the game 100% or really dive into the Activity Log (traditional completion list). There is also no NG+ or high-difficulty requirement, making this a very relaxing completion to tide players over until Infinite Wealth.
Step 1: Complete the Story
Your first step in the game will just be completing the story. The game has no missables, so you don’t need to worry about progressing too far or missing important items by not following the guide. You can do as much or as little side content as you want during the story, completing it all before the end or leaving it all until Premium Adventure. You should in both cases though check the Recommendations section below the roadmap for some things to keep in mind while playing to make your life easier.
Step 2: Complete Akame Network objectives and Coliseum Storyline
Next you should focus on completing the Akame Network objectives (Requests and Stroll n’Patrol missions) then the Coliseum storyline and match completions. It is recommended you focus on the Requests first as you unlock a number of strong Joryu Clan members through the Requests which will make your time in the arena easier. The final step here will be the series staple Amon fight which occurs after the Coliseum storyline.
Step 3: Clean up Remaining Trophies
After the meaningful side content is done you will likely just have a number of the miscellaneous objectives to complete, which are quite quick to clean up due to no completion list requirement.

Recommendations before starting
There are a couple tips to keep in mind as you’re playing through the game if you want to make things a bit easier. You can still do everything without keeping these in mind, but these work as some time savers:
- Purchase Increased Akame Points (Investment available at Network Level 5) and discount to points used (Investment available at Network Level 7) as soon as possible, prioritize over other purchases until you’ve bought these. Getting these as soon as possible before you start spending any Akame points lets you buy everything needed without any extra grinding of Activity Log objectives for extra points.
- Don’t use any of the gambling cheat items until you have Platinum rank at The Castle and can access the upper areas in the Casino and Gambling Hall. The Platinum rank areas have the highest buy-in/payout tables for each of the gambling minigames, and since cheat items aren’t unlimited you don’t want to waste them. Using just the ones from Akame’s shop in the Platinum rank tables lets you get more than enough chips/tags to buy the useful items from the prize exchanges.
- Complete all Requests before working on Coliseum. Half of the requests unlock Joryu clan members, most of them Silver or Gold rank, so if you get these before spending a bunch of time on the Coliseum you can save yourself time releveling extra characters later on.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name Trophy Guide
The Dragon of Dojima Obtained all trophies. |
||
Earn all other trophies in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name to unlock Platinum (DLC not required).
Hidden Dragon Completed Chapter 1. |
||
Story-related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is awarded for completing the 1st Chapter of the story. This chapter functions largely as a combat tutorial, introducing you to all the new features and gameplay elements. At the start you will play a short section in Ijincho which you aren’t able to return to until the end of the game, but there are no missable items here so you don’t need to worry about doing anything specific in this area before progressing the story. |
||
Castle on the Water Completed Chapter 2. |
||
Story-related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is awarded for completing the 2nd Chapter of the story. In this chapter, you gain access to the open world of Sotenbori and are introduced to the various parts of the Akame Network, which is what a large chunk of the side content is related to. During the story here you’ll be required to raise the Network level to at least level 3 to unlock Requests, but you can complete as much or as little side content as you want otherwise. After the introduction to the Akame Network you will be taken to The Castle and are introduced to the Coliseum, which is the largest individual side activity in the game. |
||
The Man Who Knew Too Much Completed Chapter 3. |
||
Story-related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is awarded for completing the 3rd Chapter of the story. In this chapter you’ll be required to progress a bit more through the Akame Network leveling, along with reaching Gold rank at the Coliseum for story events. You will also reach a point where you are no longer able to access The Castle for a short period due to story Events at the end of this Chapter which you are prompted before, but you will be able to again shortly into Chapter 4. |
||
The Laughing Man Completed Chapter 4. |
||
Story-related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is awarded for completing the 4th Chapter of the story. In this chapter you mostly spend some time hanging out with some of the Omi Alliance yakuza, then take control of The Castle which allows you to return there. In the section where you are hanging out if you win at golf and billiards gets you an extra 100,000 Yen as a reward, but nothing else extra. You’ll also be introduced to the Four Kings Coliseum storyline, which makes all of the side content available to complete from that point on. |
||
The Man Who Erased His Name Completed the Final Chapter. |
||
Story-related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is awarded for completing the 5th and final Chapter of the story. This chapter is basically just the final combat and story section of the game, with a whole bunch of cutscenes and dialogue between and after. Before the final section starts you’ll be prompted twice about a “point-of-no-return”, but the actual trigger to start the final section is when you rest on the couch at Akame’s Hideout. Make sure you’re stocked up on healing items before then. If you don’t want to complete side stuff before finishing the story don’t worry, as you can load your completed save after the story to continue in Premium Adventure. The final boss isn’t anything too out of the ordinary in this game, it is just relatively lengthy as the fight takes place in a number of selections and the boss has two full strings of health bars. Be sure to watch your health especially if you’re not playing on the lowest difficulty, as the boss can do extremely heavily damaging attacks that can potentially instantly knock you out if you’re hit by them. These most frequently occur in the section of the fight after you’ve dropped down on a chandelier, so make sure you keep your health full after this and either perform an Ultimate Counter on them or back away from the boss. Also, keep watch for the QTE that occurs right at the end of the fight. |

||
Legendary Dragon Obtained 50 abilities through Upgrade Abilities. |
||
This trophy is awarded for purchasing any 50 upgrades from the Upgrade abilities menu. There are a total of 119 total upgrades, so for trophies you only need to purchase under half of them. It is recommended you keep buying all the upgrades even after earning all of these trophies though, as you will want all of the health and damage upgrades to make the arena and Amon fights easier, and the specific combat upgrades are helpful as well. Note that the majority of the upgrades are locked at the start of the game, but you then gain the ability to purchase almost all of them during chapter 2 when you meet Mizorogi.
Starting out upgrades will only cost money, but higher-level upgrades will also cost Akame points, which are earned from completing the various Akame Network activities. It is recommended that you DON’T purchase any upgrades with Akame points until after you purchase her discount Investment options, which become available at Network level 7. You can still earn enough Akame points regardless of buying the upgrades, but if you make sure to buy them first you can be sure you’ll have many more Akame points than needed and don’t need to do extra work in the Activity Log (completion list). |
||
Like a Bee Activated the Hornet gadget during battle 100 times. |
||
The Hornet gadget is unlocked in Chapter 2 when you are prompted to visit the weaponsmith Mizorogi. After this you can summon drones by holding in combat. Holding the button for longer without being interrupted summons drones faster until you hit the summon limit. For this trophy, the game counts each individual drone summoned, so you can spend a combat encounter just avoiding enemies and summoning as many drones as possible if you want to earn it quickly.
Like a Snake Activated the Serpent gadget during battle 50 times. |
||
The Spider gadget is unlocked near the end of Chapter 2 when you are prompted to go back to Mizorogi’s before your return to the Coliseum. These allow you to zip around in combat by holding slightly damaging and potentially knocking back any enemies you run into. For this trophy, the game counts the activation as just moving using the gadget regardless of hitting someone, so you can spend a combat encounter zipping around from enemies with short bursts if you want to earn it quickly.
Like a Spider Activated the Spider gadget during battle 50 times. |
||
The Spider gadget is available from the start of the game, and introduced to you in the first combat encounter. It is used by holding and pulls enemies toward you. To earn this trophy the gadget to pull an enemy 50 total times.
Like a Firefly Detonated the Firefly gadget during battle 50 times. |
||
The Firefly is unlocked in Chapter 2 when you are prompted to visit the smokeshop, immediately after meeting Mizorogi and obtaining the Hornet gadget. It is used by holding and makes Kiryu throw an explosive cigarette in front of himself or toward whatever enemy you are focused on. To earn this trophy throw the Firefly a total of 50 times.
Always Prepared Obtained 10 types of equipment items. |
||
This trophy is awarded for obtaining any 10 equipment items. These are the items you can equip in the gear menu that give you stat boosts or defense against ailments in combat. There are a total of 40 equipment items in the game at launch (going by the list in the Activity Log) so you only need a quarter of them. They can be purchased various places, found as hidden items, or obtained from the coin lockers, so you will almost certainly obtain 10 items without trying very hard.
Extremely Heated Used Extreme Heat 30 times. |
||
Extreme Heat is activated by pressing when you have at least one heat bar, and changes up the basic attacks of Kiryu’s combat styles along with increasing his damage dealt. It is a very useful tool, especially during the Coliseum matches, so you will very likely earn this without specifically trying.
Untouchable Used Ultimate Counter 5 times. |
||
Ultimate Counter is explained early in the game and is performed when an enemy charges up an attack with an aura appearing around them, before typically lunging toward you. If you dodge with right at the last second you’ll perform an Ultimate Counter, allowing you to then hit the enemy back by pressing . This is very helpful to learn early, as many enemies will perform these attacks and they can heavily damage you if you don’t perform the counter correctly.
Silver Tier Earned a Silver rank at the Castle. |
||
Story-related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is awarded for reaching Silver rank at the Castle. This occurs automatically during the story when you return to The Castle and are introduced to more aspects of the Coliseum. |
||
Gold Tier Earned a Gold rank at the Castle. |
||
Story-related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is awarded for reaching Gold rank at the Castle. You are required to do this to progress the story in Chapter 3 as you need to access the VIP Lounge, which requires being Gold rank. This requires raising the Network to at least level 10, along with completing any 3 Silver rank Coliseum matches. Once you do this you’ll be prompted to return to Akame to receive Golden Tiger and next rank. |
||
Platinum Tier Earned a Platinum rank at the Castle. |
||
This trophy is awarded for reaching Platinum rank at the Castle. Unlike Silver and Gold rank reaching Platinum rank isn’t required for the story, but you do need to do it to enter all areas of The Castle and complete all matches. Reaching Platinum rank requires reaching a Network Level of 20, along with completing any 3 Gold rank matches. Once you do this and earn Platinum rank you’ll have access to all area of The Castle and can participate in Platinum rank matches.

||
Go-To Guy Completed 15 requests for Akame. |
||
This trophy is awarded for completing any 15 requests accepted through the Akame Network.
You are introduced to the Akame Network early in the game in Chapter 2. The Network functions as sort of a hub for a lot of the side content in the game, with the Requests being most of what this game’s substories are. There are a total of 26 requests so you need to do over half of them, though it is recommended to do all of them as they all give a decent Akame point amount, money, and some recruit Members to the Joryu Clan which you need for the Coliseum fights. » Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name – All Substories & Requests Guide |

Neighborhood Hero Completed 50 Stroll n’ Patrol missions. |
||
This trophy is awarded for completing any 50 Stroll n’Patrol missions.
These missions become available in Chapter 2 when you are introduced to the Akame Network. These are all typically single-action side missions represented on the map by an exclamation mark or a fist. Generally, you just need to do single tasks like give the person an item, grab something with the Spider, take a picture for them, or fight a group of enemies. Completing them as you come across them is recommended as they all earn Akame points which contribute to network level, and a large portion also give money rewards for completion. The requirements are generally very self-explanatory: items people request can all either be purchased in Sotenbori or at The Castle, picture hints are relatively obvious, and people who want you to dress up in certain ways will tell you the exact items they want to see you wearing. There are a total of 107 of these missions available (going by the list in the Activity Log), so only need to finish under half of them. There are already 50 missions available midway through Chapter 2 once the second set are added to the map in Sotenbori, so you can complete this number very early if you are diligent about finishing them as soon as possible. |
||
Drinkin’ and Linkin’ Bonded completely with Akame. |
||
This trophy is awarded for fully bonding with Akame. This is done by completing the 4 Drink Link Events. The first one of these Events automatically occurs when you achieve Gold rank at the Coliseum as is required in the story, then the other 3 are triggered by reaching Akame Network levels 13, 16, and 19 respectively.
During the bond events, you’ll sometimes have dialogue options you can pick. Whichever you pick doesn’t matter, the results are the same regardless. For the final bond event, there will be a fight against a group of enemies, after which you’ll complete the events and earn this trophy. |

||
Prizefighter Reached 30,000 fans. |
||
This trophy is awarded for reaching a total of 30,000 fans at the Coliseum.
Fans are earned after every successful Coliseum match, with higher-rank matches earning more fans. Earning fans has no specific purpose aside from being something that the Clan recruitment characters require you to have a minimum number of before they’ll work with you. The highest level recruitment character in the upper level of the Casino requires you have 5,000 fans before he’ll work with you, so the total required is very low compared to what is required for this trophy. If you manage to finish everything else and didn’t reach this number of fans, you can keep replaying the Platinum tier Hell Team Rumble match recommended for other grinding until you do. |
||
Hell’s Keeper Completed all matches with a Silver rank. |
||
This trophy is awarded for completing all Silver rank matches in the Coliseum at least once, completion rank doesn’t matter. There is no trophy for Bronze rank matches, but you are still required to complete all of those as you need to have finished all Bronze matches to play the Silver rank Sponsored match.
In the Silver rank matches there isn’t anything that should give much trouble. The most notable matches are the two Try and Hit Me matches, which you need to first accept by visiting the opponents in the Gambling Hall and Casino after they message you. You then get one shot at these fights before you have to wait for them to text you again (which is also how you replay them if you win and want to again). Both matches force you to use Yakuza style, but this is still relatively easy to win with by just doing a couple attacks, followed by the finisher combo. You should eventually hit both opponents with the finisher moves just by locking on to them and the swing through will eventually hit them. The Silver rank Hell Team Rumble matches should all be relatively easy, especially if you’ve unlocked fighters from the Requests first. In the matches that include large enemies focus on all of the others first, and remember to use your Order ability every time it is charged. |
||
Hell’s Patron Completed all matches with a Gold rank. |
||
This trophy is awarded for completing every Gold Rank match in the Coliseum at least once, completion rank doesn’t matter.
Gold Rank is where more interesting matches start occurring, with the Hell Team Rumble matches allowing a full 10 Clan members in them, along with the introduction of the Gambling Match that allows you to bet money (and is quite easy, so always bet the maximum amount). When working through the Team matches try to have at least finished all of the Requests to recruit those teammates, then exhaust recruitment on the first three recruiters. You should then be able to set yourself up with a nice spread of only Silver and Gold fighters, which is enough to get you through all arena matches and the Four Kings storyline if you don’t want to regrind the leveling on the opponents from the expensive recruiter. For grinding in this rank it is recommended that you keep playing the Team matches over the solo ones, even if you can do the solo ones faster. Leveling your Clan members is more important, and once they are leveled you can do the Clan matches much faster. It is also recommended to grind the first Gold Rank match (Gold Tiger Festival 1) as it doesn’t have any large enemies. The monetary and XP reward is slightly less, but you can easily finish it in a little over 30 seconds so in the long run it is better for grinding. A trick to make these matches even quicker is that the Ultimate Heat version of the Firefly attack is extremely strong for not requiring any extra heat gauge. The explosion from it is huge and deals a large amount of damage, which makes cleaning up the enemies in the Team fights very quick when they’re bunched up. |
||
Hell’s Champion Completed all matches with a Platinum rank. |
||
This trophy is awarded for completing every Platinum Rank match in the Coliseum at least once, completion rank doesn’t matter.
Platinum Rank includes more matches than the prior ranks, with some unique solo fights and the very helpful Ultimate Gambling Match. When this is unlocked you should always make sure to keep 10 million Yen on hand, as that is how much you can bet in the Ultimate Gambling Match each time, and like the first one it is quite easy relative to that reward (though you can save beforehand and reload if you mess up). The solo Hell Rumbles in this might seem a little daunting, but remember to use Firefly with Ultimate Heat and you can clean up the large groups easily. For the 100 enemy fight if you’ve upgraded Kiryu’s damage enough you can just zip around using the Serpent gadget and knock out enemies by running into them. For the Hell Team Rumble matches use the same strategy as before. If you want to regrind the level on the highest tier recruiter fighters you can, which will make these even easier once the fighters are leveled. For grinding replay Platinum Tiger Festival 4, as this doesn’t include any large enemies so can be completed much quicker than the other fights. The final two Special Event Matches require you to complete the Four Kings storyline first before they are available. The first fight is against all of the Four Kings in a row in solo matches, and the second which is only available after completing all other matches is a series of fights against an enemy that emulates the fighting style of well-known characters from prior games. Neither should be too hard after everything prior if you’ve been making sure to upgrade Kiryu’s abilities while working through the rest of the Coliseum. |

They Can’t Stop Us All Recruited 30 members to the Joryu Clan. |
||
This trophy is awarded for recruiting a total of 30 members to the Joryu Clan.
After you are awarded Silver rank at The Castle during the story you are able to play Hell Team Rumble matches, which use recruited Characters in the Joryu Clan. These are characters you recruit from throughout the game, either through completing Akame Network requests or paying the recruiter characters around the Castle, which is how you get most of the high-level Characters. There are a total of 37 possible characters in the base game, so you need to get most of them to earn this trophy. Note this doesn’t include the 4 characters included with the preorder DLC, though they do count towards the trophy total if you have them. A number of the Requests give Clan members as completion rewards, so it is recommended you complete these as soon as possible as a number are quite good. The requests that award these are as follows:
» Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name – All Substories & Requests Guide Aside from these, there are 4 Recruiters in The Castle who you pay money to recruit a limited number of Clan Members each. The higher-level ones require you to have more Fans and higher rank to recruit, though the final one only requires 5,000 Fans so you will hit this number and be able to use him fairly quickly when you are working through the Coliseum battles. You can find them by looking for the magnifying glass icon on the map, which will disappear when they don’t have any possible recruitment options left. They are located in the following locations in order from cheapest to most expensive:
Finally, there are a handful that will appear standing around the Fighters Lounge counter that you can speak to after beating them in arena matches. Watch for these when you go back through that area. |
||
To Train in Life Bonded completely with a Joryu Clan member. |
||
This trophy is awarded for bonding completely with any 1 Joryu Clan member.
See To Train Beyond for more information. |
||
To Train in Death Bonded completely with 5 Joryu Clan members. |
||
This trophy is awarded for bonding completely with any 5 Joryu Clan members.
See To Train Beyond for more information. |
||
To Train Beyond Bonded completely with 10 Joryu Clan members. |
||
This trophy is awarded for bonding completely with any 10 Joryu Clan members.
Bonding with the clan members refers to both their level from EXP and from the Bond Gauge, and to “bond completely” you need the Clan member to have reached Level 20 and be at Level 3 Bond. These are both raised by completing matches with the Clan members, with the amount of EXP earned is dependent on the match rank, but the Bond increase always being +100 for each match completion. The right-side vendor in the Fighters lounge also sells consumables you can give to your fighters, increasing their XP and Bond level. Reaching Level 3 bond requires 100 Bond XP, so 20 matches per member or two purchases of the Sakura level Sake cup. Level 20 takes a while longer depending on what level matches you are doing, or if you’re purchasing the Guide to Cooperative Fighting consumables. It’s not recommended you use the extra training from the man in the corner, but the consumables are very helpful if you’re trying to cycle in Clan Members you get later. It takes 6 of the most expensive EXP consumables plus a little extra to get a Clan member to level 20. |
||
First King Dethroned Defeated the first of the Four Kings. |
||
This trophy is awarded for defeating Dan Brody at the Coliseum. After you’ve been prompted about the Four Kings during Chapter 4, you’ll be able to start challenging them by speaking with Dan Brody who is standing to the right of the Coliseum reception desk.
The fight with Dan Brody is a Clan match, unlike the one you had during the story. If you want a much easier time you can work on setting up your Clan members before starting, any of these Four Kings fights, as you aren’t prevented from doing any of the Team Coliseum matches before completing these. Aside from the extra team members, the fight is basically the same as the one in the story aside from him having an absurd amount of health (a similar issue you’ll have in the third King fight). Dan Brody spends most of his time just summoning drones and being a mild nuisance, so like normal Team matches focus all the other enemies first, then everyone can focus Dan Brody alone. If you are running out of time due to his absurdly high health try leveling your team more and increase Kiryu’s damage if it isn’t maxed already. |
||
Second King Dethroned Defeated the second of the Four Kings. |
||
This trophy is awarded for defeating Samejima at the Coliseum, who is available to fight immediately after defeating Dan Brody.
Unlike the fight against Dan Brody this is a solo match, which actually makes it far easier than the Dan Brody fight as it’s not timed and Samejima only has 4 health bar segments. The only notable thing about the fight is that he can be mildly annoying constantly jumping around, but as long as you are diligent about chasing him down quickly he isn’t very dangerous. |
||
Third King Dethroned Defeated the third of the Four Kings. |
||
This trophy is awarded for defeating JUSTICE at the Coliseum, who is available to fight immediately after defeating Samejima.
This fight is another Team fight, and because of it is actually probably the most annoying fight in the game. JUSTICE pulls in both Samejima and Dan Brody to fight with him, and Dan Brody again has the same absurd health pool that he had in his own fight. You again want to focus on the grunts first, then if your team hasn’t taken them out focus on JUSTICE, then Samejima, then Dan Brody last. If you’re running out of time on this one you may need to grind your team all up to max level (which is required for To Train Beyond anyway) which should then help you deal with all of the Kings in a reasonable time in this extremely overtuned team fight. |
||
Fourth King Dethroned Defeated the fourth of the Four Kings. |
||
This trophy is awarded for defeating Ugajin at the Coliseum, who is available to fight immediately after defeating JUSTICE.
This fight is back to being a team fight again after the over-the-top Team fight against JUSTICE, which means that again like Samejima it is very easy. Ugajin’s main gimmick is just that he can use all of the gadgets, including the disc launcher encountered on an enemy earlier in the story. Aside from that he should actually be quite easy, with his very reasonable health bar and damage output. |
||
The World’s Strongest Defeated Amon. |
||
This trophy is awarded for defeating Amon, the traditional secret boss who is available at the end of the side content.
In this game to challenge Amon you first need to complete the entire Coliseum storyline by defeating the Four Kings. Once this is complete you receive a new Request called “Operation Family Welfare” where you deal with the criminals who stole the gadgets from Mizorogi. Completing this then gives you access to the second last Special Event Matches in the Coliseum, followed by the final one that requires having completed all other matches. You will then receive the Substory “Path to the Strongest”, with the first step being a battle against Tetsu Amon that is started by speaking with the gold robot to the left of the Coliseum reception. The fight against Testu-Amon is another Team fight, and for this one, you will want to set yourself up with a fully leveled team of Gold and Silver fighters, along with most of Kiryu’s upgrades and high-level equipment. This is even more of a slog than the Four Kings fights, so you want to be as prepared as possible going in. Setting Kiryu up also works to be set up for the real Amon fight immediately after. For equipment, the minimum recommended would be the following:
For team setup, you don’t need to worry much about placement, just stick defenders in the front and healers behind. The layout only determines where they start in formation, so you want the defenders taking the initial attacks before you can get in. A team comp you can use without having the preorder characters is list below, left to right in formation. Note that there are only two healers, but a number of the other characters also recover health, so having those two is basically back up.
In the fight itself treat it the same as before: try to focus on the weak enemies first to take them out quicker, then focus on the gold Amon bot. Keep note of your health as well as all of the enemies can use Ultimate Attacks which will do very heavy damage if you don’t evade or counter them. Finally, once this match is completed, you are challenged by Gai Amon. Before heading into this fight, make sure you’re fully stocked up on healing items, as this is a normal fight and not an arena fight. You can purchase all the versions of the normal healing items (Toughness, Tauriner, Staminan) from both vendors at Boutique. If you want to be really prepared you can also then fill your inventory fully with all the consumables purchased from the convenience stores in Sotenbori. Once you’re ready to fight, speak with Amon by the entrance of the Castle. Because this is a normal fight and not a Coliseum fight, it sort of ends up being more of a slog than any difficult. Amon uses all of the gadgets like Ugajin did in a similar manner. The main issue for this fight is that he heals himself, with drones at the start of the fight and whenever he hits you at the end of the fight, so you need to counteract the gadget attacks more directly than the Ugajin fight where you could mostly ignore them, along with using Heat replenishing items to finish him off quickly. At the start, he’ll immediately summon a drone swarm that hovers above his head. These drones prevent you from doing a lot of damage as they constantly heal Amon while they’re hovering over his head, so you need to deal with them whenever they come up. This is done by switching to Agent style, activating Extreme Heat, then holding to very quickly summon drones yourself which will clear out his drones (this is why making sure you’re stocked on healing items is a necessity). Once you’re aware of this bit with the drones, the rest of the fight with Amon is basically just him being a nuisance and dragging it out. He will constantly rope you with his own Spider, which you need to mash to escape from and quickly dodge away from the bomb he throws. He’ll sometimes summon another swarm of drones that fly in a circle, and then all fly toward Kiryu. These ones can just be guarded against and they will all disappear immediately after hitting you once. He has two full strings of health bars, and once he reaches the last couple he will power up and this is when his attacks will start healing himself (by a significant amount) so you want to finish him off quickly. Charging your Heat with consumables and then using Heat Actions in Yakuza style is the fastest way to finish him off, there are a number of easily triggered ones while you are in Ultimate Heat that can make quick work of him. Once defeated you’ll obtain this trophy, along with the War God Talisman as a final reward. |

Trendsetter Obtained 50 types of outfit items. |
||
This trophy is awarded for owning any 50 different outfit items.
Outfit items are the ones you can set up Kiryu to wear during normal gameplay or in the arena through the menu at Boutique in The Castle. There are a handful of items you can obtain from places like Akame’s shop, but the majority are purchased through the menu at Boutique. There are a total of 70 items (going by the list in the Activity Log not counting the starting outfit items) so you need to obtain around 2/3 of them. The ones available to purchase from Boutique are added as you increase your rank at The Castle, with all of them being available once you reach Platinum rank. Note that the Casual and Coliseum sets have a few different options, in that the Casual set you select Hats and Glasses, and in the Coliseum set you select Masks, and can’t overlap these. You can track how many you’ve currently obtained with the Playing Dress Up, Fashionista, and Dressed to Kill entries in the Adventure category, though note that the trophy seems to only count ones obtained other than the default outfit items, so you need to subtract 3 from these totals to determine the amount you’ve obtained towards the trophy totals. |

The Man Who Had Too Many Hobbies Played 10 minigames. |
||
This trophy is awarded for playing a total of 10 unique minigames. Like a Dragon Gaiden includes most series staples, so there are lots to choose from for this trophy. For minigames to count you can start and then immediately quit them if you want, you don’t need to play any specific amount for them to count towards this. The available minigames are as follows:
|
||
Heavenly VIP Completed all hostess missions at Club Heavenly. |
||
This trophy is awarded for reaching 3 hearts with both of the Hostesses at Club Heavenly in Sotenbori. Club Heavenly becomes available during Chapter 2 when you are required to complete the Akame Network Request “Emergency Request!” After this, you can return there whenever you like and start an instance of the minigame for 10,000 Yen.
For both this and the Castle hostesses you will want to equip the gear item “mini-more Perfume” that can be purchased from Ibisu Pawn Sotenbori. This increases the amount of affinity you gain through interactions, which will make this quicker. It is also helpful to leave this until the end of the game because then you can waste any money you still have buying expensive drinks or giving gifts. Normal responses when you pick topics are generally straightforward. Don’t pick the silly answers and you’ll generally gain affection. The ones that do matter are the unique questions the girls will ask when the affection meter is in the small section at the end, where you need to answer the question correctly to complete the affection level and move to the next one in your next visit. Castle VIP Completed all hostess missions at Castle Cabaret. |
||
This trophy is awarded for reaching 3 hearts with all 3 of the Hostesses at the Castle Cabaret. This club is available as soon as you gain access to the Castle, then can be played at any time.
The same rules apply here as apply for the two girls at Club Heavenly. The only outlier is that Ai’s questions and answers can be a bit odd, so she may require a bit more back and forth. ||
This trophy is awarded for playing any 5 different games on the SEGA Master System. This is located within the Daidoji Hideout, so can access it starting in Chapter 3.
It starts with 4 games available by default, so you need to obtain at least 1 other game to play to earn this trophy. You can start and then immediately return to the game selection menu to “play” the 5 games, you don’t need to make any specific progress in them to count towards this trophy or the Activity Log requirements for playing the games. » Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name – All Master System Game Locations |

Arcade Dweller Played 6 different games at the arcade. |
||
This trophy requires you to play all 6 different games available at either arcade in Ijincho or Sotenbori. You can do this at any time when you have access to the arcades, and aren’t required to make any specific progress in the games to have this count. You can start the games and then immediately quit if you don’t want to actually play them. The list of arcade games is as follows:
|
||
Pocket Circuit Pro Unlocked the Masters Circuit in Pocket Circuit. |
||
This trophy is awarded for unlocking the Masters Circuit race in Pocket Circuit. The Masters Circuit is unlocked about halfway through the progression of Pocket Circuit, and is when you are shown the course that is in the locked back room. Once you’ve unlocked this you don’t need to progress any further in the Pocket Circuit races if you don’t want to, as from that point on you’re only playing towards Activity Log completion which doesn’t have a trophy associated.

Left in the Dust Won 3 Rival Matches in Pocket Circuit. |
||
This trophy is awarded for completing any 3 Rival Matches in Pocket Circuit. Rival Matches are different from normal racing as you only race one opponent, and you need to first find these opponents through the Stoll n’Patrol missions associated with them that appear as you progress through Pocket Circuit. The courses you race them on are the exact same as the normal races, so you can just use the same recommended build for that course to beat them easily.

Bullseye Won a game of darts. |
||
This trophy is awarded for winning a game of darts at either Stijl Bar in Sotenbori, or in the Coliseum Lobby at The Castle. You can pick any game mode you want while playing darts, so the quickest and easiest is to just play a game of 301. This needs to be against another player as well, so you can either do this against the man in Stijl Bar who wants to play a game for a Stroll’n’Patrol mission, or one of the available partners that you can choose when first interacting with the dart board.
Royal Gambler Played at the casino and gambling hall in the Castle. |
||
This trophy is awarded for playing one game at both the Casino and Gambling Hall at The Castle. You can choose any game you want at either location, you just need to start and then can immediately quit the games if you don’t want to play a round of anything at the time.
Rising Superstar Went to karaoke with Akame and sang a duet. |
||
This trophy is awarded for singing a karaoke duet with Akame. This becomes possible to do after you’ve completed the first Drink Link event, which automatically occurs when you reach Gold rank at the Coliseum and is required in the story. Once you do this you can head to Bar New Momoko at any time to sing karaoke, then when prompted choose to sing a duet with Akame. You need to specifically sing the song “Like a Butterfly” which is the only duet in this game, with Akame singing and Kiryu providing backup. Complete the song once like this to earn this trophy.
Surgical Precision Completed a 1-Shot Challenge on normal difficulty. |
||
This trophy is awarded for completing the Normal difficulty version of the 1-Shot Challenge. The 1-Shot Challenge is a pool minigame where you need to sink a red ball with one shot while avoiding obstacles. You need to complete the Easy version first before you can play the normal version, so you’ll need to clear 2 sets of 3 to earn this trophy.
If you want to optimize your time there are also two Stroll’n’Patrol missions where someone at the bar asks you to complete the Easy, then Normal challenge, neither of which is retroactive if you do the challenges early, so if you want two mission completions you’d have to do anyway wait until the person asking appears in the Bar. Easy – 1: Bank the shot off the top wall to bounce back and sink the red ball. Easy-2: Bank the shot off the right wall to hit the red ball in. You want to avoid having the white ball hit any of the black balls, so you can add backspin by hitting the bottom of the white ball when hitting the shot, which should stop the white ball as soon as it hits the red ball. Easy-3: In this one you are already aiming straight at the red ball and don’t need to move, but you are aiming to jump the white ball with the ramp which can be a bit tricky. Pull the right stick back about 3/4 of the way to hit the ramp without sending the white ball too far. Normal-1: Here you are ramping the white ball, aiming to hit a yellow ball on the other side which will then hit the red ball into the pocket. You are aiming to hit the ramp slightly left of center (from the overhead view) which should line you up about halfway on the yellow ball on the shot view. Shoot with about half power. This one can take a bit of adjusting, but note that if you’re lucky and the white ball bounces in a way that knocks the red in it still counts. Normal-2: Aim towards the bottom of the table to bank the white ball off the wall to hit the yellow ball. This is lined up perfectly so that it should then hit the red ball, pushing it over the ramp into the pocket. Only use about half power on your shot, if you use too much power the red ball will ramp off the table. Normal-3: Aim the ball directly in the middle of the ramp near you, then shoot with almost or completely full power. This one is quite finicky and might take a number of tries with minor adjustments on where you are hitting the ramp. Try to keep as many shots as you can through the first two rounds for this reason. |
||
Locked Up Obtained 30 items from coin lockers. |
||
This trophy is awarded for opening any 30 of the Coin Lockers located in Sotenbori beside Wild Jackson. Keys from the lockers can be found all over Sotenbori and The Castle, rewarding you with a variety of possible items. There are a total of 50 lockers, so you need to open a bit over half of them.

Whip-Splash Threw an enemy into the river with the Spider gadget. |
||
You are introduced to the Spider gadget early in the game, which allows you to pull enemies by holding . Typically this pulls enemies towards you, so if you don’t hit them they will fly behind you, which if positioned correctly allows you to yank them into the river in Sotenbori. This is most easily done by going on either the north or south side, then to a spot with one of the short staircases. Stand at the top and try to position an enemy in front of you with your back to the river, then yank them so they are thrown behind you. If you’re struggling with the positioning you can wait until you have the Spider upgraded so that you can pull more enemies at once.
Gotta Catch Some Balls! Obtained some Balls. |

Thanks for the quick quide. So no auto pop on PS5 > PS4 save? Only PS4 to PS5?
Gabriel Padilha says
After so many yakuza plats is such a nice feeling to not have to do 100% lol
Nikki_boagreis says
Nice that nothing is missable and can be completed during the post game in premium adventure and everything can be completed on easy difficulty. Look’s like a straightforward trophy list and the trophies autopop when importing save data from last gen to current gen.
Calypso says
This is what I hope for with the future of Yakuza platinum requirements. One playthrough, nothing missable, not too difficult and no 100% requirements for tedious minigames like PuyoPuyo.
Vici di mara says
Is there trophies related to mahjong score or wins ?
Aliana says
LOL. This was my first question as well. The Mahjong trauma is real.
Dan says
surely i’m not alone being the opposite to all the others that i’m gutted 100% completion isn’t on this, i’ve platinumed all Yakuza/Judgement games and love doing the 100% list (Sadly lol)
Palm says
I’m with you there. I’m still gonna do it anyway.
WickedMatrix says
Anyone having issues with trophy autopop on PS5 ? Got the message that all my ps4 files are corrupt. Saw on the web a few people have similar problems.
Steve Culley says
I have seen similar reports of saves being corrupted despite being perfectly playable on ps4 still. Was hoping to find some confirmation that the save transfer works, but the only place I have seen it stated is at the top of this guide, haven’t seen anyone posting that it worked for them unfortunately.
Gage says
The person who helped me with the guide had it work correctly for them, and you can see it works correctly for some people based on the fastest times on PSNP for the PS5 version. Not currently known why for some people it doesn’t work and does for other.
Steve Culley says
Having looked a little deeper into the Internet about this, I found another forum where people were claiming that it might be region specific. Some in EU couldn’t get it to work, whilst USA people could, but it appeared to me they might be using some sort of third party save software, which I know nothing about, don’t understand or want to promote here. For me personally, whilst I may have over 230 platinum and have played all Yakuza games, none of them are for Yakuza games despite getting close a few times. The dreaded completion list etc always beat me. I have just finished story in Gaiden and had hoped this would be my first Yakuza plat but I am less optimistic now, the coliseum may beat me this time. Being old with arthritis in my hands the battles are a struggle.
Steve Culley says
Following my earlier posts about this I have a confirmed report from someone unable to get the autopop on an EU account who has now received their Asian physical copy, that can see their EU digital save files perfectly well to pop the trophies, they just had to do a couple of actions like visit a cabaret club and back out and exit. So obviously a problem on developers side, just have to hope they patch it, but don’t hold your breath.
Chip It says
I’m in the UK and have encountered the same glitch, fingers crossed it’ll be patched but I’m also redownloading the PS5 version just in case.
hawkwind says
I can’t beat the third fight in the Four Kings coliseum questline. I have my whole team at level 20 and Kiryu is fully upgraded. I can’t do anywhere near enough damage before the time runs out. Anyone have a decent strategy for this one?
Killbomb says
I finally got it with the team recommended in the guide except I switched out Super Guard Machine for Keita Kuroyanagi to get more attack power.
Gundemannen says
I’ve gathered 32 fighters and still no trophy. Is it bugged for anyone else?
Xavier says
The one-shot challenge should solely raise the difficulty to 5/10.
Chip It says
Make sure to grind the chicken head, sheep head and robot guy to max level and bond and the four kings and Amon fights are quite easily doable. Otherwise, get Kiryu down to low health before starting and equip the talisman that continually raises his heat when he’s close to death, then spam the finishers.
The final Amon fight is trivial if you complete the seven gold balls subquest first as you’re awarded 99 decent healing items that restore both health and heat. Just be sure to use the drones as soon as he does and it only takes a few minutes. I rarely beat Amon in any of the games but didn’t have much trouble this time.
John B says
Hi, is ultimate heat the same as extreme heat? If it’s not, how do I use it? I can’t find anything in game or online regarding it.
JH0604 says
Anyone got stuck with the “The Man Who Had Too Many Hobbies” ?, I played at least 6 unique minigames in the arcade and got the trophy for it, and I played more the 4 more, but the trophy didn’t pop for me. I did this as early as when I got the the second city btw.
JB says
Same for me. I played the arcade games basically as soon as I could and then have definitely played more than 10 overall now and it still hasn’t unlocked.
Nikki_boagreis says
Didn’t have any trophy glitch, for “The Man Who Had Too Many Hobbies” i played the arcades at Club Sega however i waited and did it during premium adventure. I don’t think it matters if you do it during the campaign or post game.
Basically, all i did was start each arcade as normal and exit the game immediately and the trophy popped.
Maybe try loading another save or start a separate save for specifically getting the trophy, i had a total of 4 save files just in case. Ended up getting the platinum without any trophies glitching.
Steve Culley says
Just to let any EU account holders know, if you at a later date get a physical ps5 copy, that will auto pop the trophies with no problems. I got one from a UK seller and loaded it today after previously deleting any digital ps5 version save and data files. Trophies auto popped upon importing ps4 save file flawlessly. By all accounts the EU digital versions have different item numbers or something and it causes a conflict which doesn’t happen in other regions. Apparently this has happened with other games in EU region before. It will never get patched, but for a Yakuza game it is a very easy and short platinum, so to replay is not too Much of a grind if you enjoyed the game.
Chip It says
Good news – EU patch on May 10th has now fixed save import from PS4 to PS5, trophies now autopop.
