Lies of P All Special Weapon Locations

Lies of P contains 11 Special Weapons Locations. Collecting all Special Weapons unlocks the Special Weapon Collector trophy & achievement. Special Weapons are far better than Normal Weapons and some can scale up to an S rank for certain attributes with the right Handle Altering Materials.

All 11 Special Weapons are missable: 10 become missable if you consume the Bosses’ Ergos or use them to buy Amulets at either Alidoro’s or Explorer Hugo’s shops. As such, do NOT ever consume them. 1 Special Weapon is missable if you’re on your Truth playthrough and therefore can only be acquired in your Lie playthrough.

Before being able to obtain Special Weapons, you must find Alidoro. He can be found near the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library stargazer. When you reach the room with an elevator at one of its sides, ride it up to the rooftop and speak with Alidoro. He will ask you to send him to a safe place. If you’re on your Lie playthrough, send him to Venigni Works, if you’re on your Truth playthrough, send him to Hotel Krat. Regardless of where you send him first, he will eventually move to Hotel Krat where he opens his Special Weapons shop. All Special Weapons but one are bought by turning in the Ergo dropped by the game’s main bosses. Do NOT ever consume these Ergos or the Special Weapons will become missable. Later on, the game will give you the opportunity to kill Alidoro. You must do so to obtain a Cryptic Vessel. His shop will temporarily be unavailable but Explorer Hugo will reopen it later on at Hotel Krat.

Below is a list of all Special Weapons and how to obtain them in chronological order.

1. Seven-Coil Spring Sword: can be bought from Alidoro or Explorer Hugo immediately after finding him for the Parade Leader’s Ergo dropped by Parade Master main boss.
2. Etiquette: can be bought from Alidoroor Explorer Hugo  immediately after finding him for the Broken Hero’s Ergo dropped by Scrapped Watchman main boss.
3. Holy Sword of the Ark: can be bought from Alidoro or Explorer Hugo immediately after finding him for the King’s Flame Ergo dropped by King’s Flame, Fuoco main boss.
4. Trident of the Covenant: can be bought from Alidoro or Explorer Hugo at Hotel Krat for the Twisted Angel’s Ergo dropped by Fallen Archbishop Andreus main boss.
5. Puppet Ripper: can be bought from Alidoro or Explorer Hugo at Hotel Krat for the Burnt-White King’s Ergo dropped by King of Puppets main boss.
6. Frozen Feast: can be bought from Alidoro or Explorer Hugo at Hotel Krat for the Reborn Champion’s Ergo dropped by Champion Victor main boss.
7. Two Dragons Sword: can be bought from Alidoro or Explorer Hugo at Hotel Krat for the Puppet-Devouring Green Hunter’s Ergo dropped by Puppet-Devouring Green Monster of the Swamp main boss.
8. Uroboros’s Eye: can be bought from Explorer Hugo at Hotel Krat for the Sad Zealot’s Ergo dropped by Laxasia The Complete main boss.
9. Noblesse Oblige: can be bought from Explorer Hugo at Hotel Krat for the Fallen One’s Ergo dropped by Simon Manus Awakened God main boss.

How to obtain the last 2 Special Weapons

The last two Special Weapons require you to take specific steps in order to obtain them within the same playthrough and unlock Special Weapon Collector. Here’s what you need to do:

1. After defeating the boss “Simon Manus Awakened God“, ride the elevator down to the underground and interact with the Under the Abyss stargazer and make a back-up save (in PlayStation Cloud if you are on PlayStation, or if you are on PC copy your save to a different folder).
2. Choose “Give the Heart” when Geppetto asks for it to unlock the Real Boy ending.
3. After the end credits, do NOT start NG+. When back at Hotel Krat, head into Geppetto’s Study, pick up the letter from the desk and read it. This will unlock The Story of One Father. Unlock Pianist of Krat as well by interacting with the piano on the ground floor.
4. Reload your save and head back to Hotel Krat. You should notice that the nose on the Portrait in Geppetto’s Study is quite long, but may not be able to be interacted with. If you cannot, play through all available Records without stopping to obtain Humanity, then interact with the Portrait to obtain the Golden Lie Special Weapon. The nose on the painting will only grow and turn into a weapon if you’ve been gaining Humanity throughout the game.
5. Go back to Under the Abyss, but this time choose “Refuse” and fight the Nameless Puppet to unlock The First Puppet. This will unlock either the “Rise of P” ending depending on your Humanity level and choices throughout the game.
6. After the end credits, do NOT start NG+. Back at Hotel Krat, buy the last Special Weapon from Explorer Hugo that you can exchange with the Nameless Puppet’s Ergo. This will unlock Special Weapon Collector.
