Kingdom Hearts 3 has 14 Battlegates. This guide shows all Battlegate locations as well as the associated rewards for completing them, along with unique enemies that only spawn during in them.
Battlegates are extra arena fights that you unlock at the end of story. After beating the game you will see blue spheres show up on every planet, those are the “Battlegates”. They endgame enemy encounters that are a bit more challening than what you encountered during the story. When completed each one rewards a specific item, as well as a correspondingly numbered Secret Report that you can read in your Gummiphone. Secret Reports aren’t required for any trophies, but some of the Battlegates reward unique Synthesis materials which are required to earn the trophy Synthesist, and there are a few others with unique enemies that you need to defeat to complete the Adversaries section of the Gummiphone and earn the trophy Know Thine Enemy.
Each Battlegate has a difficulty rating out of 3 stars (3 being the hardest and 1 the easiest), and are marked as Complete once you finish them. You can replay them as many times as you want after that, though you are only awarded the extra item on first completion. They are a very good place to farm some other Synthesis items though as they can be repeated as much as you desire. They are also the best place to farm XP quickly and reach level 99.
