Out of the Frying Pan is the 22nd main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance (KCD). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Out of the Frying Pan Main Quest.
Out of the Frying Pan triggers instantly after completing Payback Main Quest.
Help the lords to recapture Talmberg / Occupy the outer bailey and prepare the ground for infiltration into the castle / Open the portcullis to the outer bailey, so the reinforcements can get in
This is the shortest quest in the game, it only takes 15 seconds. After the initial cutscene finishes, you’ll be standing at the gate of Talmberg. Run around the houses and up the hill on the right. Above the gate you’ll find a little guard tower, inside is the portcullis control. You don’t have to fight any enemies along the way, just run past them. See the screenshot below for the location:
Press 
/ 
to interact with the portcullis. This triggers a cutscene and finishes the Out of the Frying Pan Main Quest. The next Quest “Night Raid” triggers automatically.
