Kingdom Come Deliverance: On the Scent Main Quest Walkthrough

On the Scent is the 11th Main Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance (KCD). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives and paths of the “On the Scent” Main Quest. There are multiple paths in this quest that all lead to the same outcome. Your main objective throughout the quest is to find Reeky.

On the Scent triggers automatically after completing Mysterious Ways Main Quest.

Track Down Reeky / Find the footpad in Ledetchko

Tracking down Reeky is the main objective of this quest. To do this you will have to follow the steps below.

Start by going to the town “Ledetchko” just north of Rattay. It’s marked on your map. Once there, talk to any of the villagers and they will tell you to talk to Reeky’s father or the Bathhouse Wench for more info.

Talk to Reeky’s father / Talk to the bathhouse wench that Reeky is seeing

You now have two options:

• Talk to Reeky’s Father
• Talk to Bathhouse Wench

I recommend you talk to both of them. They are marked on the map, be sure to go there at day. Either one of them gives you a clue that Reeky is hiding in the woods. The bathhouse wench has much more info. If you have high speech stat she is willing to share it with you. Exhaust all dialogues with her and she will tell you about caves where Reeky might be hiding and a secret stash he burried in his garden.

(Optional) Find Reeky’s Stash

You learn of Reeky’s Stash location from the Bathhouse Wench.

Reeky’s Stash is burried on the west corner of his father’s estate, in the garden. His father is the guy you are supposed to talk to, the tanner. Look at your compass at the top of the screen and walk to the west corner of his garden to start shoveling up some dirt. Ask at the woodcutters camp / Ask at the innkeeper

When you exhausted all dialogues with the bathhouse wench she will tell you to ask the people at the woodcutter camp about Reeky and that he has sold poached animals to the innkeeper. Talk to the innkeeper for more info. I picked the speech option to succeed (I had 11 speech stat). If you succeed in the dialogue he will tell you that Reeky is hiding in a cave and marks 3 cave locations on the map. No worries if you fail, you can simply head to the woodcutters camp and they will tell you exactly where to look.

Find Reeky’s Hideout by following Raspberry’s Directions / Investigate the 3 Caves

No matter if you got the info from the innkeeper or the woodcutters, the location of Reeky’s Hideout will be the same.

The screenshot below reveals the correct cave of the Reeky Hideout Location, simply go there and you won’t have to search every single cave:

Once you enter the cave, you will run into Reeky. Exhaust all dialogue options with him to finish the Quest. This instantly transitions into the main quest “My Friend Timmy“.
