Starting Location: Post Scriptum
To start this quest, speak with Kvyertsolav who will be located at the tavern on the road west of Kuttenberg. He typically sits outside at the backmost table. Speak with him and agree to help him write a letter.
Go to the house in Kuttenberg to write a latter
Kvyertsolav wants you to go to a specific house in Kuttenberg where his associates will have you write a letter for them. This is the same location you go to for the “antisemite meeting” during Into the Underworld.
Head inside and reply with “Justice is worth more than silver”.
You can choose how you write the letter for them, either improving it, writing it exactly as stated, or more short and aggressively. You can ask them along the way what the purpose of the letter is, but they won’t give you much information.
After you’re done they will say they need to kill you, but you can pass a Persuasion or Intimidation skill check to stop them.
Save yourself!
If you don’t pass one of the two checks, you will have to kill both men before receiving the next objective.
Turn the miners over to the bailiff (Optional)
If you did talk your way out of the men attacking you, you receive the optional objective to turn them into the bailiff. This ends the quest immediately and only rewards 100 Groschen, so isn’t recommended.
Take the letter to the shaft owner
To find the shaft owner, you’ll need to head to the two cobbler shops. In between them is a house where you need to go inside and speak with the bodyguard immediately.
He’ll let you upstairs so you can give the letter to Markold.
You have the option here of giving him the letter as asked, trying to blackmail him for you to stay quite, or offering to work with him against the miners.
If you try to blackmail him for your silence you have to pass a hard speech check to have him go along with it, after which the quest is completed immediately.
If you stuck with the miners’ plan:
[If you follow Miners’ Plan] Meet the miners at the city’s Hloushetz Gate
If you go along with the miners’ plan, Markold will give you 7 Groschen and then tell you to meet some miners at Hloushetz Gate at the north of the city. If they’re not there when you arrive, wait an hour and they should show up sitting by the gate.
You then have the option of going with them immediately or go to their camp later.
[If you follow Miners’ Plan] Return to the miners
Whether you go with them immediately or later, head to the miners’ camp in the forest east of Grund and speak with Myslibor.
Markold will then show up and attack the group. You have the option of a skill check to talk your way out of them attacking you, but if you’ve come this far it would be better to stick with the miners.
[If you follow Miners’ Plan] Defeat Markold of Lourny
Markold and his guards will attack the group. Markold is the only one wearing any armor so he’ll take a bit more effort, but his guards should all go down very easily.
[If you follow Miners’ Plan] Get a reward from the miners
After Markold and his group have been dealt with, you can speak with Myslibor for your reward, completing the quest.
If you turned the miners in to Markold:
[If you work with Markold against the miners] Attack the miners’ camp
If you decide to turn the miners in to Markold, he’ll force you to come along to help. There are only three miners when you arrive, so they go down quickly.
[If you work with Markold against the miners] Get a reward from Markold
Once they are dealt with speak to Markold to receive the reward, completing the quest.
This finishes Post Scriptum side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
