Frogs is a side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Frogs side mission.
- Starting Location: Trosky Region > Zhelejov
- Quest Giver: Old Olbram
- Requirement: Started Main Quest 5: Wedding Crashers, , but must do it before finishing Battle of the Frogs and Mice
- Reward: Possible total of 225 x Groschen: 45 x Groschen (for turning in the maypole), 45 x Groschen (for herding the sheep into the woods), 135 x Groschen (for poisoning Alshik and trampling the laundry)
- Quest Type: Side Quest
- Questline: Frogs > Mice > Battle of the Frogs and Mice
- Quest Description: As the Tachov gang is constantly playing tricks on the Zhelejov chaps and causing them trouble, the Zhelejov chaps have decided they will not let it slide. Old Olbram has some ideas on how to one up the Tachov lot and I decided to help him because it sounds like a lot of fun.
Objectives:
- Steal the maypole from Tachov
- Kick Henik’s arse! (optional)
- Arrange a date for Henik and Manka (optional)
- Bring the maypole to Olbram
- Chase the sheep out of the pasture (0/6)
- Give Alshik the digestive potion (optional)
- Soil the Tachov lot’s laundry (0/4) (optional)
- Tell Olbram about the scattered cattle
Starting Location: Frogs
This side quest is started by speaking with Old Olbram in Zhelejov and agreeing to help him play a prank on the town of Tachov.
NOTE: If you tell the people in Tachov that the people from Zhelejov are playing a trick on them, it will fail this quest and starts the opposite quest Mice. Whichever one you complete first will lead into the next quest Battle of the Frogs and Mice. The order that’s confirmed for finishing all 3 quests in the same playthrough is Frogs > Mice > Battle of the Frogs and Mice.
Steal the maypole from Tachov
Olbram wants you to steal the maypole from the town of Tachov. You should first head over and speak with Innkeeper Prochek about it. He is also who you speak to when starting the opposite quest Mice.
DO NOT choose “Olbram wants to play a trick on you.” as this automatically fails this quest and instead starts Mice.
You can pass a skill check to ask about the maypole, then ask him about Henik who is the one guarding it. He suggests beating up Henik for something entirely unrelated, but this does work as one possible way to help get him away from the maypole so you can steal it.
Kick Henik’s arse! (optional)
You can go to the nearby building and speak with Henik.
While talking to him you can ask him how he’s doing, then pass a Perception skill check where he tells you about not being able to spend time with Manka. This gives you a second option for getting him out of the way instead of beating him up. If you don’t want to do this, ask him about his brothers multiple times until he gets angry and attacks you, then beat him up and he will storm off and won’t guard the pole anymore at night.
Arrange a date for Henik and Manka (optional)
If you want to go the nicer route, you can speak with Manka who works at the tavern.
Tell her the plan to take over watch for Henik and she’ll agree, then you can go back and speak with Henik to tell him what you’ve arranged.
With the date set up (or Henik beaten up so he is not watching the maypole), you will need to wait until evening to take it without being caught. Wait in the marked area until the evening (around 21:00) then speak with Henik and tell him he can go see Manka.
With Henik out of the way from either method, you can now steal the maypole. You need an axe to do this, of which you can steal one that’s stuck in a tree in the yard of Henik’s house if you don’t have one already.
Then when you’re ready, interact with the maypole to climb up and Henry will automatically chop it down. Make sure to pick it up off the ground after.
Bring the maypole to Olbram
With the maypole in hand, you can return to Zhelejov during the day and hand it to Olbram to receive your first reward.
Chase the sheep out of the pasture (0/6)
If you agree to continue helping, Olbram has another idea for how you can mess with the town. He wants you to drive their sheep out of the pasture, which is the main goal. The other two parts are optional, but he’ll give you a better reward if you do them. You must chase the sheep out of the yellow search area in any direction. This will take around 2 minutes, simply walk behind them to steer them away. At day they will be guarded by the shepherd but you can beat him up with your fists.
Give Alshik the digestive potion (optional)
To give Alshik the potion you need to wait until the morning (around 8:00). Manka prepares a snack for Alshik (separate from the food pot) which is sitting outside on the stump beside the bench. Interact with it to pour in the potion. You can then wait until after noon where Alshik will be busy getting sick by a tree near the road instead of guarding the sheep.
Soil the Tachov lot’s laundry (0/4) (optional)
Now for an extra reward, you can run the sheep through the laundry that is placed in the field during the day. This must be done during the day after getting Alshik out of the way, as the laundry is taken inside at night. If there is anyone standing near the laundry you can wait for an hour, then they should disappear, then you can herd a sheep over toward the laundry. You only need one sheep to do this, just have it run over each of the 4 sets of clothing, then herd it back to the main group.
Now whether you’ve completed or skipped the optional steps, you need to herd at least 6 of the sheep out of the pasture into the woods. If you are doing this at night and skipping the option objectives the sheep will likely be in the pen, and you will have to get them out of the gate. Some can get stuck on the fence, which you can ignore as long as you get 6 out toward the woods.
Tell Olbram about the scattered cattle
Once you have successfully herded the sheep into the woods, return to Olbram once more for your reward. He will automatically start the follow-up quest Battle of the Frogs and Mice. BEFORE advancing that quest you can still complete Mice.
This finishes Frogs side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

I can’t give Alshik the potion. Manka does nothing for him and he just stands in the fields.
