A Good Scrub is a side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Good Scrub side mission.
- Starting Location: Kuttenberg Region > Kuttenberg City
- Quest Giver: Bathhouse owner Betty
- Requirement: Complete Main Quest 14: Speak of the Devil
- Reward: 100 x Groschen, discount at Kingfisher Bathhouse (best outcome)

- Quest Description: Betty, the owner of the baths in Kuttenberg, asked me to help her get the bankrupt business up and running again.

Starting Location: A Good Scrub
To start this quest, head into the large building directly west of Gunmaker Prokop Eldris’ shop and speak to Bathhouse owner Betty inside. A quest tipster at an inn can also point you to this location.
Pick up the package
Betty wants you to head to the town of Grund to pick up a package she was waiting for.
You will need to go into the tavern where you can find Wagoner Matsek, possibly in the tavern or standing on the wall at the entrance.
Matsek explains that the “package” is actually the girls who are going to be working at the bathhouse, and he wants you to go into the inn to speak with them. Interact with the group of girls who should be sitting at the table outside the inn.
Get onto the wagon and set off
Once you’ve spoken to the girls and confirmed you’re leaving, you can interact with the nearby cart that Matsek has ready and you will automatically set off once the girls enter the cart.
You can also respond to the girls’ questions about Kuttenberg during the trip. After a bit, you will automatically fast-travel the rest of the distance back to the bathhouse.
Back at the bathhouse you’ll have another discussion with Betty. Agree to help her promote the bathhouse, and you will have the option to select the beginning, middle, and end of the crier speech you will perform. The following selections are good options here:
- Like nothing you’ve ever experienced
- Soothe your body and soul
- Feasting, dancing, and singing
Once you are good with the prepared speech confirm with Betty to start the next objectives.
Grain Market
Betty gives you 4 locations you need to go to and announce the opening of the bathhouse. You want to do this during the day (around 12:00 is fine, you just don’t want to do it at night when there is no one around) so wait until then or sleep until the next day if needed.
Head to the marked area and stand anywhere within it and you will get a prompt to start shouting. Henry repeats the whole speech each time, but you can start moving to the next location immediately once you start the speech.
Horse Market
The next location is the Horse Market in the southwest corner of the city.
Vintners’ Street
Then near the fountain at Vintners’ Street right near the main city entrance.
There may be a man here who calls you out for marketing near a church, and you can respond to him or just leave and ignore him. If you do respond you want to avoid fighting with him if at all possible.
Merchants’ Street
And finally anywhere along Merchants’ Street.
Go back to Betty
Once you have announced the bathhouse at all 4 locations, head back to Betty at the Kingfisher. This will automatically skip time forward to the celebration at night.
Tidy up the bathhouse
It’s the next morning and the council is outside, so you need to quickly clean up the bathhouse. While you are doing this make sure you DO NOT walk out the front door of the bathhouse. If you do it will immediately trigger the Alderman to enter and start inspecting, regardless of your progress. You should also put your clothes back on before finishing all the cleaning.
Hide the drunk guests (0/4)
There are four passed-out guests in the main room where you wake up, you need to pick them up, walk them upstairs and place them inside the first bedroom on the right.
Pick up the clothes (0/5)
The first piece of clothing is on the ground by the stairs.
And the remaining 4 are on the ground in the room with the bathtubs.
Pick up the tankards (0/6)
There are 6 tankards around the building you need to pick up off the ground. 4 are in the room you wake up in.
Then the other 2 are in the room with the bathtubs.
Scrub the floor
Finally, you need to scrub the floor, which you can do by looking directly at the pile of sick beside the middle bathtub.
Wait for the Alderman to inspect the premises
Once you have cleaned up everything (or if you walk outside early) the Alderman will come inside and inspect the bathhouse.
Listen to the Alderman’s verdict
After he has finished inspecting everything, follow him outside to hear about his inspection and complete the quest.
