This Judgment (Judge Eyes) walkthrough will guide you through all the main choices and investigations of Chapter 9 for 100% completion.
Chapter 9 Choices
At the start of the chapter you have to head over to Kyushu No.1 Star to speak to the reporter Hattori, who has done a lot of research on AD-9 and likely has some vital information to the case. He’ll give you a minor rundown on Alzheimer’s and how AD-9 is meant to treat it, then once your conversation is over you need to head back to the Detective Agency. When you’re ready take a seat on the couch to go over your findings with the boys. You’ll go through a bit of dialogue, then talk to Hoshino again when you’re ready to continue. Speak to him once more, then make the following dialogue choices:

Sugiura suggests that knowing whether Okuba is actually innocent or not is key to knowing the truth, as it establishes whether he killed Waku three years ago or whether it was from an experiment with AD-9. Hoshino will set the meeting up to speak to him, but until then you should head to the Law Office to check over the case file again. You have a long discussion with Genda about some past events, then Hoshino asks you to meet him at the nearby taxi to go speak with Okubo.
After your talk with Okubo you’ll be back in Kamurocho, and will have to head over to Tender. When you get outside you’ll be stopped by Kuroiwa, and then promptly attacked by a mysterious man with a sword. He will immediately start doing Mortal attacks, so be sure to stay back from him when he’s charging up swings. As long as you can avoid those you should be alright, as he only has 3 health bars and doesn’t do a lot of damage otherwise.
After you beat him, Kaito suggests staying over at KJ Art as none of the Matsugane related men will try and mess with you there. Head over with Hoshino to meet Kaito and Suguira. Head up to the 5th floor using the main stairs, then the fire escape, to go meet with Murase. Yagami and Suguira decide to head over to the ADDC to “meet” with Shono. Catch a cab to head there when you’re ready.
Once you’re there, head to the lady at reception to inquire about where Shono is. Suguira spots him up the stairs.
Active Search – Search Mission: “Find Shono”
FIND CAT FIRST. Look to your right and head toward the window, you should spot the cat sitting outside.
Now to spot Shono, if you look through the glass barrier at the top of the stairs you should see him on the left on the floor above, then he will walk over to stand by the two other researchers right near the top of the stairs. You can spot the other researchers for more SP as well before you finish the search.

Before you can get up to him though you’ll be stopped by Ichonose. After you finish speaking, head over and talk to the assistant who you talked to briefly before who let you in the lab on your first visit. The new plan is to sneak in to the hospital wing and catch Shono when he’s doing his morning rounds. Head over and take a look at the map. There are a few spots you can look at, but the only one needed to progress is the Underground Parking Lot entrance on the bottom left of the hospital building.
On your way out you’ll be stopped by the ADDC security and escorted out, though not to a nice location. The security has orders to make sure you don’t come in the building again, and that involves whacking you with a shock baton. The guy with the baton is really the only dangerous enemy, the rest don’t do a whole lot. You can block the baton too without taking damage, just avoid when he is doing mortal attacks. Once they’re defeated, you steal two of their uniforms as disguises and head in the parking area into the hospital.
Once inside head over to the elevator door and interact with it. Yagami will say they’re going to wait here until morning. The next segment is a series of fights in the hospital while you are chasing after Shono. First group is a bunch of research assistants (why are you beating them up?) who all go down in a few hits each. Next group is 3 security guards, but you only have 30 seconds to deal with them, so don’t be afraid to use EX attacks here. Next group is 3 guards again, including the shock baton guy from before, but you have 3 minutes for this one so it shouldn’t be too bad. He has 3 health bars this time, but if you take out the other two guards first he is very easy to deal with on his own. After this you grab Shono and interrogate him. When prompted, select the choice:
