Judgment Chapter 8 Walkthrough

This Judgment (Judge Eyes) walkthrough will guide you through all the main choices and investigations of Chapter 8 for 100% completion.

Chapter 8 Choices

After some more cutscenes at the start of the chapter, you’ll have to head over to the Law Office to pick up Hoshino, then have to take a taxi to the Police Station to speak with Ayabe.  Once that’s done you’ll be back in Kamurocho, and need to find a way to meet Matsugane to speak with him. Head over to Game Center Charles and into the back room to talk to Higashi, who says he’ll see if he can get in contact with Matsugane so you can speak to him. You’ll have to just wander around for a bit with Kaito following you, then eventually he’ll call and tell you to take a taxi over to a restaurant to meet Matsugane.

After some story stuff you’ll have to fight Higashi along with a bunch of other regular enemies, Higashi has 3 health bars and uses a knife for the first 1.5, then you kick it away with a QTE and he’ll start doing mortal attacks.  Take out the small guys first to clear the area, then should be able to deal with just him fairly easily. After the fight, you speak with Matsugane again for a bit, then return to Kamurocho.

Kaito suggests bugging to the Matsugane office to try and track down where Hamura is. You’ll have to head over to Tsukumo to get a wiretap from him, while Kaito tracks down Sugiura to get his help actually getting into the office. He asks for 100,000 Yen to get parts and assemble one for you. He then says it will take a bit to get it assembled, so you’ll have to go around town and complete some other stuff in the meantime while you wait. He’ll give you a call to come pick it up when it’s ready, then after you do you’ll have to head back to the Detective Agency.

Sugiura says it’d be impossible to get in to the office sneakily, but Kaito comes up with a plan to dress you in a disguise to get inside. He works at a club on Emerald Street apparently, and you get a mark on your map to head over just West of the Law Office. Speak to the guy outside, and he says that Tashiro took an unruly customer over to Tenkaichi Alley to deal with him. Head over to the alley just West of Turtle Finance/Lullaby Majong, where you’ll find Tashiro hassling the man.

Tashiro is very weak, so beat him up quick and take his clothes, then head over to the office and meet Sugiura outside. Head upstairs into the building and you’ll be left alone, with a 5 minute timer to find three outlets.

GET THE CAT FIRST. It’s sitting in the window in the opposite corner of the room, you can just see it under the gap in the blinds.

Now for the outlets, for the first one examine the plant just down to the right of the cat. It will be moved out of the way and you’ll find one outlet behind. From there head all the way left on the same wall, and there is a second outlet in the corner by a lamp. Then do a 180 and turn toward the door you came in, just to the right of it you’ll see the third outlet. Yagami says he wants to put one in Matsugane’s room as well, head in there and just to the left of the small TV sitting in the corner you should see one. After that you can end the investigation and head out. Before you’re able to get away though you’ll be spotted, and some guys will come in and you’ll have to fight some guys to get away.

Once outside the guys immediately call Hamura, and you find out he’s at some sort of gambling location. Head to L’Amant to see if you can find someone who knows where to play the game that was mentioned.  There are a few colorful characters in L’Amant you can talk to, but the guy you want to speak to is the one in the floral shirt standing by the door. He says he knows the place where you can play, but will only tell you the name if you can set him up with the lady in the blue dress at the poker table. She says she’ll drink with you and your friend if you can beat her in poker. You only need to win one hand, then she agrees to have a drink.

Pervy guy then gives you the info about the dice hall. It’s the only shop in Champion District without a sign. To get in, knock on the shutter 3 times, then say “Can I talk to Moon”. They’ll respond, “What kinda steak you got”, to which you say “Chateaubriand, blue”. This is important info for a missable trophy you do right away. Kaito comes down to meet you, then you both head over to Champion District to look for the shop. Head over to the very South-East corner of the shop area to find the shutter door.

This is now where you earn the missable trophy Professional Password Presenter. Respond to all the prompts in the following ways:
Three Times
Can I talk to Moon
Chaeaubriand, Blue.

The trophy will be awarded immediately after the third choice if you didn’t mess up.

You’ll walk right in the middle of the gambling hall, and instigated a large fight with basically everyone there. This isn’t too tough compared to previous fights, and there aren’t too many enemies. Hamura only has two health bars, and Ozaki only has three. Try and do the usual and take out the small frys first, then focus on Ozaki and Hamura. Once you get Hamura down one  bar he’ll instigate a quicktime where he throws a pillow at you and you press   to avoid it, then he’ll start doing mortal attacks. Stick by Kaito like previous times and you can do hugely damaging EX combo attacks. After the fight you get a sizeable story dump, then the chapter will end.
