Are you wondering how long is God of War Ragnarok? Here’s the answer:
God of War Ragnarok Story Length:
- Story Difficulty (Easy) = 20-30 Hours
- Balanced Difficulty (Medium) = 25-35 Hours
- No Mercy Difficulty (Hard) = 30-45 Hours
The times will vary depending on how many side quests (favors) and collectibles you do. You will be at the lower end of the time span if you focus on just the story, and at the longer end if you do all optional side tasks you come across. So for example, on the lowest setting “Story Difficulty” if you focus on just the story it will take around 20 hours but if you do all available side tasks you may need up to 30 hours. This includes the time of all cutscenes, they are unskippable.
Per difficulty level you can add +5 hours to the expected story length. That’s because enemies have much more health and you may need more tries to defeat bosses. The story consists of 17 Main Quests. There are 47 optional Favors (Side Quests). Some story missions are very long and go on for hours, while others are much shorter and only last half an hour.
100% Completion / Platinum Trophy Length:
- Story Difficulty (Easy) for 100% Completion = 40-50 Hours
- Balanced Difficulty (Medium) for 100% Completion = 50-60 Hours
- No Mercy Difficulty (Hard) for 100% Completion = 60-70+ Hours
About half the time is spent on story and half the time on completion. For example, on the easiest difficulty it would take around 20 hours for the story and 20 hours for the collectibles. For the 100% completion you can add +10 hours per difficulty level to get a rough estimate. The side content features many bosses, which can be quite time-consuming on high difficulties.
