Are you wondering how long is Avatar Frontiers of Pandora? Here’s the answer:
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Story Length:
Depending on your chosen difficulty and playstyle the Avatar Frontiers of Pandora main story will take 15-25 hours to complete.
- Easy Difficulty (Guided Mode) = 15-20 Hours
- Medium Difficulty (Guided Mode) = 20-25 Hours
- Hard Difficulty (Guided Mode) = 25 Hours
There are two modes: Guided (objectives are marked) & Exploration (objectives are unmarked). For Exploration mode add another 10 hours, as you’ll need more time to find the objectives on your own. Though you can switch between the two modes at any time if you like. So if you get lost you can switch to Guided Mode.
For me personally the story took 15 hours on easy difficulty guided mode without playing any side quests (story-focused playthrough). Of course, if you play the side content during the story it will take longer the more side content you play. Enemy bases and most side activities are also available early on so if you do all the side stuff as you advance the story it’ll take much longer.
There is also some luck involved with what items you find from loot containers. Your level in this game is calculated from your overall gear quality. There is no traditional XP character leveling system. If you are unlucky you might find gear pieces you already had which won’t give you a boost to your overall gear level. You can also craft gear or trade it from merchants in exchange for favor which you earn from quests. There are big level gaps between some main quests, and if you aren’t lucky with the loot from containers you will need to spend extra time on side quests or crafting to stand a chance. Being 2 levels under the recommended quest level is fine on easy, but on higher difficulties you will want to at least match the recommended level, so more time investment will be needed on side content and you can’t simply rush through the main quests.
100% Completion / Platinum Trophy / 1000 Gamerscore Length:
For Platinum you need close to 100% completion. You must destroy all RDA outposts / installations to reach 100% air quality. You also need all of some collectible types, but only some of other types. Overall you need roughly 85% completion for platinum, with only some collectible types not requiring to find all of them.
- Easy Difficulty for Platinum = 40-50 Hours
- Normal Difficulty for Platinum = 50 Hours
- Hard Difficulty for Platinum = 60+ Hours
About 15-20 hours of this is spent on the main story story and about 20-30 hours on doing all side content, collectibles and unfogging the map. There is nothing particularly challenging for Platinum / 1000 Gamerscore if you play on the easiest difficulty in guided mode. On hard mode it would actually be quite challenging however, as some enemies are very tanky and you die very fast. It’s best to play on easy at least for the post-story cleanup.
