Introduction
Welcome to the Horizon Zero Dawn Trophy Guide & Roadmap. This is one perfect game for trophy hunting. Like with most open world games, the trophies in HZD are geared towards general completion. You have to complete the story, do side missions to gain optional allies, and find several types of collectibles. Luckily, you can buy in-game maps from merchants that reveal collectible locations. There are relatively few collectibles and they can be traded in for some nice in-game rewards at collectible merchants in Meridian City. One awesome piece of Gear is the Shield Weaver Outfit because it renders you invincible (absorbs all damage). Try to get it as early as possible and look for the 5 required power cells as you play through the main quests (see trophy “Got the Shield-Weaver outfit”). You are in for a real treat because Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the finest PlayStation exclusives ever and a joy to complete. The trophies are quite easy. Even the Hunting Ground Trials are very doable. If you have trouble with anything, return later when you’ve leveled up. After beating the story you can still free roam to mop up collectibles and side activities.
Step 1: Play Story up until Main Quest “The Looming Shadow”, Collect 5 Power Cells
The first step is to play the story until to the main quest “The Looming Shadow”. That’s the final story quest at the very end of the game. Do not trigger it yet. This is important because of the trophy “All allies joined”. To make all optional allies join the final battle you must do certain side quests (see trophy “All allies Joined”). Only after getting all optional allies should you start the last quest. In case you already completed the final mission it can be replayed as often as you want. You can definitely still get the trophy for all allies after finishing the story. Furthermore, your dialogue choices do not matter as they don’t affect any allies.
While doing main quests, look out for the 5 Power Cells. Four of them are in main quest areas. You can go back at any time to get them, even after beating the story. It will save a little bit of time when you get them at the first chance. This is for the trophy “Got the Shield-Weaver outfit”. The outfit you get from this makes you invincible. The sooner you get it, the better.
Pick up any collectibles you come across and feel free to take part in any and all side activities, such as Cauldrons or clearing Bandit Camps. Play the game how you want.
You can also follow this YouTube Playlist along the way: Horizon Zero Dawn Trophy Guide Playlist
Step 2: Get all Optional Allies, Collectibles & Side Activities
Before triggering main quest “The Looming Shadow” go and do all 11 side quests required for “All allies joined”. Your dialogue choices do not matter.
Also pick up every collectible, clear all bandit camps, and complete remaining side activities. Technically you can still do these things after the final mission because it puts you back in free roam. The final mission can also be replayed over and over again. In the best case scenario you have all trophies at this point except for the last story trophy and All allies joined.
Step 3: Finish Story
Now that you have done the side quests for all allies it’s time to finish the last story mission. This should give you the remaining trophies and the platinum.
If you’re still missing anything else it can be done in free roam after finishing the story.
Collectible Icons & Side Activities:
= 12 Ancient Vessel Collectibles
= 6 Bandit Camps
= 6 Banuk Figure Collectibles
= 4 Cauldrons
= 11 Corrupted Zones
= 5 Hunting Grounds (15 Trials)

All trophies obtained Obtained all Horizon Zero Dawn trophies. |

Unlock all other trophies to earn platinum (DLC not required).
Stealth killed 10 machines Performed a stealth kill on 10 machines. |
|||
First you must buy the skill “Silent Strike” from the Prowler skill tree. It costs 1 skill point. Now sneak up behind enemies and press R1 to take them out. You can also hide in tall grass and lure them to you (throw stone or use Lure Call skill). When they are close enough do the Silent Strike. This works best on weak machines with little health, e.g. watchers in the starting region.
3 Strikes From Above Killed 3 enemies using the Strike from Above skill. |
|||
Requires the skill “Strike from Above” in the Prowler skill tree. It costs 2 skill points and you must have unlocked the Silent Strike skill.
Now whenever an enemy is standing below you it will show the R1 button prompt. Press R1 to perform a drop kill. This works best on weak enemies with little health, e.g. watchers in the starting region. You can throw rocks to lure them in a position where you can drop down. Climb on a little hill, throw down a rock and wait for the enemy to get close. |
|||
Tore off 10 components Detached 10 components from machines during combat. |
|||
Bigger machines have certain combat components on them. When you do enough damage to a component it will fall off. Press R3 to focus-scan for components and their weakness. The fastest way to get this is with Tearblast Arrows from the Sharpshot Bow (Blue or Purple). It instantly knocks off any component that you hit, no matter how much health it has and no matter how big the machine is. You can buy this bow at most merchants, e.g. in Meridian City. Now go to the spawn locations of some big machines (marked on map) and shoot off their components. There are a bunch of them at the Sun Furrows Hunting Grounds.
In all likelihood this trophy will unlock naturally without trying. You’ll often encounter machines with components as you play through the game and eventually you’re gonna hit some components. |
|||
10 Vulnerable machine kills Killed 10 machines weak to Fire while burning, or weak to Freeze while frozen. |
|||
This trophy is basically unmissable. At the end of the story you have to shoot lots of machines with a cannon which does fire damage. Here the trophy should come naturally.
If you frequently use fire arrows or the Shadow Sling’s Freeze Bombs you’ll also get this. Scan an enemy by pressing R3 to see if they are vulnerable to fire or freeze. One fire arrow or freeze bomb won’t suffice. When you hit them there’s a circle filling up above the enemy. Once the circle is all filled up the effect will start to kick in. Then you can visually see the enemy going up in flames or getting frozen in ice. Fire does a lot of recurrent damage over a short period of time. Ice makes it so you can shatter some enemies in one hit because their entire body becomes a weak point. Weak to Fire:
Weak to Freeze:
|
|||
Tore off 5 heavy weapons Detached 5 heavy weapons from machines during combat. |
|||
Some of the biggest machines, e.g. Thunderjaws have heavy weapons on their back. The thunderjaw is the best enemy to farm this, one can be found at the Furrows Hunting Grounds and it respawns each time you start a new trial. Use Tearblast Arrows from the Sharpshot Bow (Blue or Purple). It instantly knocks off any component that you hit, no matter how much health it has and no matter how big the machine is. You can buy this bow at most merchants, e.g. in Meridian City or at Hunting Grounds. Now hit the big gun above the Thunderjaw’s leg with a Tearblast arrow. Repeat this 5 times.
7 types of machine overridden Unlocked and used the overrides for 7 different types of machine. |
|||
To unlock new overrides you must complete Cauldrons (dungeons). Cauldrons get marked on the map after going near them / when climbing Tallnecks. There are only 4 of them in total, see Horizon Zero Dawn Cauldron Locations & Override Unlocks.
Now use your new abilities to override 7 different types of machines by sneaking up to them and holding :triangle:. If you alert the machines they cannot be overriden. |
|||
Headshot 30 human enemies Killed 30 human enemies by landing headshots on them. |
|||
The skill “Concentration” is highly recommended for this (Brave skill tree). It costs only 1 skill point and slows down time while aiming. Use your bow to land headshots on 30 different human enemies. You can find many of them in bandit camps. In case you’ve cleared all camps and missions you can find more human enemies walking on roads around the map (mostly in desert area). They show up randomly from time to time. You can also replay the final story mission – there are always a bunch of human enemies at the start of that mission. Some side missions also have large amounts of human enemies in them.
Press R3 to activate the Concentration skill while aiming the bow. Headshots kill most enemy archers instantly. *The headshot counter in game stats is a bit glitchy. This can cause the trophy to unlock much later than it should. It is obtainable, just takes longer to unlock it. If it doesn’t unlock after 100 headshots, reinstall the game. |
|||
Downed 23 Grazer dummies Found and knocked over all of the Grazer training dummies in the Nora region. |
|||
First Modification Used a Weapon Coil or Outfit Weave on a modifiable weapon or outfit. |
|||
Weapon Coils and Outfit Weaves are dropped frequently by enemies and can be bought from merchants (the tougher the enemy, the higher the drop rate). In your inventory they are listed under “Modifications”. Loot all killed enemies and you’ll get plenty of mods.
Press Touchpad and go to the crafting menu. Choose to modify a weapon or outfit and insert the modification. Please note that not all mods are compatible with every weapon. Some are tied to specific weapons only. So if you cannot modify your current weapon wait for another mod to drop or buy different weapons. |

To rank up you need to gain XP. You get XP by doing quests, side activities and killing machines.
You’ll reach level 50 very easily while going for the other trophies and completing the game. Doing all story missions brings you to level 30. Hunting Ground Trials give some very quick level ups and will push you over level 40. The remaining side quests and activities will very quickly get you to level 50. No farming required, there are more than enough XP rewards for just playing the game and completing the various tasks. Cauldrons, Bandit Camps, Climbing Tallnecks and Corrupted Zones also give lots of XP. But the quickest way by far is to get blazing sun marks in all hunting trials. Each trial gives 17,500 XP for 1 minute of work. |
|||
All Skills learned Learned all available skills. |
|||
There are a total of 36 skills. You get skill points for each level up and from completing side activities, such as climbing tallnecks.
You have more than enough skill points available. If you do lots of side tasks you can buy all skills at level 40 or so. Just reaching level 50 also provides enough skill points. Press Touchpad and head to the skills section to buy everything. They are all available from the beginning. |

There are 6 Tallnecks, always marked on the map by this blue dinosaur icon . They walk in circles on a predefined path. Jump on them from up high, then climb up to the head and override them. This reveals more of the map and removes the “fog”. |
|||
Cleared all the Bandit Camps Took back all settlements from the bandit clans. |
|||
There are 6 bandit camps. They will get marked on the map with a blue skull icon when going near them / after climbing Tallnecks. You must kill all the bandits in a camp to free it. They are easy to kill with headshots.
See Horizon Zero Dawn Bandit Camp Locations for a detailed screenshot guide. |
|||
All Cores Overridden Reached the Core of every Cauldron and accessed the information within. |
|||
There are 4 Cauldrons. They are Horizon Zero Dawn’s version of dungeons. They get marked on the map with a blue triangle-shaped symbol when going near them / after climbing Tallnecks. Each one of them unlocks new overrides for your spear.
See Horizon Zero Dawn Cauldron Locations for a detailed screenshot guide & cauldron rewards. |
|||
All Suns at all Grounds Earned at least a Half Sun mark in all trials at all of the Hunting Grounds. |
|||
See trophy “Blazing Suns at all Grounds”.
Blazing Suns at all Grounds Earned a Blazing Sun mark in all trials at all of the Hunting Grounds. |
|||
In Horizon Zero Dawn you can play Hunting Ground Trials to earn Blazing Sun Marks (highscore) or Half Sun Marks (mediocre score). These are little challenges to test your skills. Each hunting ground has 3 different trial challenges. They are scattered across 5 hunting ground locations for a total of 15 trials. They are marked on the map by a blue arrow icon after climbing the tallnecks. There are four trophies tied to Hunting Ground Trials, including the only gold trophy in the game for getting a blazing sun mark in all of them:
I recommend you get the Shield-Weaver outfit first because it renders you invincible and makes some challenges easier: How to get Secret Shield Weaver Outfit All of these challenges are time based. The faster you are, the better you will score. The blazing sun marks are basically gold medals. It also gives you 17,500 XP per blazing sun mark which is great for quick level ups. |
|||
All Corrupted Zones cleared Killed all the corrupted machines in every Corrupted Zone. |
|||
There are 11 Corrupted Zones. They get marked on the map by a white circle icon after climbing the tallnecks. In these areas you must kill “corrupted machines”. They are stronger than normal machines and do corruption damage. Kill all the machines in the corrupted zone to clear it. After clearing all 11 zones this trophy unlocks.
All machines catalogued Encountered and Focus scanned every type of machine. |
|||
There are 26 enemy machines. The video above shows their locations and how to kill them quickly. In the notebook you can see which ones you have encountered and scanned (press Touchpad).
When zooming in on the world map it shows spawn areas of the machines. Unfortunately, there’s no way to see what category a machine belongs to. So you’ll have to kill all as you scan them. Below is a list of all machines:
|
|||

All allies joined Given Aloy’s actions, all possible optional allies joined the defense. |
|||
What to do: Play up until the main quest “The Looming Shadow”. This is main quest #21 and the final mission of the game (can check progress in notebook stats). Before doing the first objective of The Looming Shadow, go and do the following 11 side quests:
If any quests are unavailable it’s because you haven’t progressed far enough in the story. They will all be available by the time you reach “The Looming Shadow”. If you run into a quest earlier feel free to complete it. Once all side quests are done, go do “The Looming Shadow” main quest. You get the objective to go to bed before the final battle. This unlocks the trophy during a cutscene when Aloy is sleeping. After completing the last mission it will put you back before the Looming Shadow quest and it can be replayed as many times as you want. So if you missed a side quest it’s no problem. You can still do those after the final mission and then replay it. Names of All Allies:
You can go talk to all of them before the final battle. You’ll get two optional objectives to visit both defense sites (Spire and Ridge). The allies can be found there. *Dialogue choices do not affect this trophy. Personally, I always chose heart, so that’s what I tested and confirmed to be working. The developers have since confirmed that dialogue choices do not affect the trophy. *Killing Nil in side quest “Cause for Concern” does not impact the trophy. He doesn’t count as an ally. The trophy unlocked for me despite killing Nil. The characters that you can kill don’t count as allies. |
|||
Ended the war machine threat Ended the threat of the ancient war machines. |
|||
Story-related trophy from a main quest, unmissable.
Victorious with the War-Chief Found the Nora War-Chief and defeated the killers in the Ring of Metal. |
|||
Story-related trophy from a main quest, unmissable.
Saved Meridian from its foe Helped Erend investigate Ersa’s fate, and foiled a plot against Meridian. |
|||
Story-related trophy from a main quest, unmissable.
Aided the defectors Aided the escapes of Uthid and the child king Itamen from the Shadow Carja. |
|||
This requires you to do the side quest “Traitor’s Bounty” and “Queen’s Gambit”.
Traitor’s Bounty is unlocked automatically later in the story. Completing this quest automatically leads to Queen’s Gambit (it’s a quest line). Upon completing The Queen’s Gambit the trophy unlocks. Here’s the starting point: |
|||
Hunted Redmaw with Talanah Rose through the ranks of the Hunters Lodge and helped Talanah defeat Redmaw. |
|||
This trophy is a reward for completing the quest line for the hunter’s lodge.
You must do the following quests (in this order):
After defeating Redmaw return to the Hunter’s Lodge to complete the quest. This will then unlock the trophy. |

It’s heeeeeeere. Great work as usual @PowerPyx
Angelo says
Yo great guide but 1 question i never scanned a corruptor but i finished until looming shadow, is that a missable trophy And should i start all over Or Will i find corruptors in side mission? I really hope somebody can help me with an Answer to this!
Cptabearica says
There are corruptors in the final fight.
Eyesradar says
Hi there,
Great guide as always!
I have a quick question, I have a quest named “Death from the Skies” listed in the side quest category. However it says the quest is paused and there is no related quest area in the map, the quest cannot be set as Active as well. The description of the quest is some border settlement is being attacked by the Glinthawks. I remember I got the quest from an injured NPC in the middle of something then took off.
Thanks!
mel says
You need to finish the main quest related to that Area first, after that the side quest will return to your available side quests.
L3n1n says
PowerPyx – you are the best, i love you xD
Thanks!
Dustin Angle says
So I chose brains at the beginning of the game when the boy throws the rock at Aloy. Will that effect the All allies joined trophy?
PowerPyx says
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t affect it. Wouldn’t worry about it.
Dustin Angle says
Great, thank you
joshua vincenzo pourtarvirdi says
Hey PowerPyx, great stuff! My question is similar to the one above. I believe i chose the heart (threw the rock at his hand).
At what stage (if you know) do you pick hearts only? like.. is it from the rock incident to the whole game or does it start from a certain point where you need to pick heart to the whole game.. doubt that makes sense.
congrats on the platinum btw!
bWb says
Do you have a list of all the allies that need to join for “All Allies Joined” trophy?
OniKids says
I didn’t choose heart till the proving. Do I have to re-play from the beginning?
Thomas says
Yes you miss it so you have to replay from beginning.
Dum says
Absolutely not. The choices you make in the texts do not influence the All Alied Joined trophies. The only factor is whether or not you did a quest.
Rhaenys says
So I pretty much avoided heart most of the time. Does it mean that I should just start another game to get the trophy?
JakePows says
I didn’t choose heart in the beginning, where the kid is throwing rock, instead I threw the rock at his hand. Other than that, everything else was a heart. Do i need to start over ?
PowerPyx says
You should be fine. The kid isn’t an ally, 99% sure this dialogue doesn’t matter.
Simonid says
Maybe someone knows this: in the quest Honor the Fallen when the guy on red blocks the way for prayers, in this dialogue i dodnt choose hearts, does it impact the trophy?
Daniel says
HEy man quick question. I know you say to do just main quest and wait till the end to start side quests but I find it hard to level up that way. Will I miss any trophy if I also do some questing ??
PowerPyx says
You can do as many side quests as you want.
Halim says
for (“All allies joined”) – Always pick “Heart” during all dialogues in all quests.
did you mean all dialogues with all the 13 allies? or literally all the dialogues in the game?
Thank you ^.^
Brett says
I think it’s all of em in the game. But it’s worth mentioning that not all conversations have that option. With those you can select whatever you want.
Just be careful because when it is an option, the heart answer won’t always be in the same place.
PowerPyx says
All dialogues including main story.
Haldi says
I never chose heart, most of the time brains and 1 or 2 times fist and still got platinum, i think it doesn’t matter at all.
Brett says
After spending a few hours with Horizon…. I kinda feel sorry for Zelda.
Ant says
lmfao zelda shits all over this game 98/100 compared to 88 lmfao go away moron
Ant says
infact the worst zelda game shits all over this game
Detour says
No way, Ant. Leave the fanboy Zelda posts on their threads.
Brad says
I mistakenly chose brain when aloy and rost are standing outside of mothers heart. Will this affect the “all allies joined” trophy?. Its when rost tells you that he will go far away where aloy cant find her. Thanks in advance love you all :”)
PowerPyx says
Rost doesn’t matter, no worries.
Brad says
Thank you ! I would of went through the whole playthrough constantly worried about it.
PowerPyx says
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Dialogue Choices do not matter for the “All allies joined” trophy. It was previously believed that choosing heart affects some of them, but it doesn’t.
So there are NO MISSABLE TROPHIES. Feel free to play the game how you want, enjoy 🙂
joshua vincenzo pourtarvirdi says
So we are able to choose anything for any dialogue?
Sounds Good!
Aleksandr says
Excellently!!!
Alex says
Sorry for spam but I had a question about the “Nora Hunting Grounds” mission. I get all 3 blazing suns and it stills says I have to complete it on my quest log. On my mini map it says its completed but its still showing as an open activity in my quest log. Will this keep me from getting the plat? thanks in advance
PS. amazing guide thank you for making it
PowerPyx says
The same happened to me on the last set of trials but the trophy unlocked. Don’t think it matters. Yet another display bug.
Javier Sánchez says
***Glitched trophies: 0 (the number of kills & headshots in game stats may be a bit glitchy, but it’s just a display bug and doesn’t affect trophies)
This trophy is glitched for me, I have 42 headshots in the count and I don’t get the trophy. 🙁
Leptonic says
some people got the trophy after 70+ headshot, so keep killing bandits…
PowerPyx says
Are you sure they are all human headshots and not machine headshots? Just keep killing more bandits and it will unlock.
Thomas Gladu says
Hey I’m Stuck with the vaurnable kills trophy I burned well over 10 do I have to get some parts in story or am I. Doing something wrong.
YouRockPowerPyx says
Hey, I am having an issue with the Kill All Acquisition Machines Trophy. I have killed one of each machine in the notebook, but it has yet to unlock. I have yet to finish the main story yet so if there is a boss type one, please let me know. I really hope my game didn’t glitch.
PowerPyx says
Love your username haha ;)
For me it unlocked upon killing a charger. The kill counters in game stats seem a bit off with current patch. The trophies do unlock but may take more kills than it says. For me it unlocked upon killing a charger. So the only machine that I can clasifcy as acquisition for certain is the charger. Try farming a bunch of those, otherwise go through all machines again and always kill multiple of each type.
Glitches the Spider says
I can confirm that broadheads count towards the trophy. I know that I killed a lot of them early on in the game, but when I got the trophy, the count reset to show only the ones I recently killed. I’m guessing there’s something iffy going on with the statistics counter.
YouRockPowerPyx says
Thank you for the help. I killed a couple of chargers and it unlocked. It is strange that the game considers them of that type though.
PowerPyx says
The types are all mixed up, really doesn’t make any sense. Glad you got it though 🙂
SOUL SQUEEZ3 says
I might have the solution for that glitch:
TRAMPLERS are not listed in the statistic menu ‘machines killed’!
I definitely killed one of these before but I went back and killed 1 machine of this type later on and the trophy popped!
So this type of machine might count aswell as an acquisition machine…
martial says
please can you write how much quests are in total with all sidequests !?
PowerPyx says
I found 21 main quests & 21 side quests.
Sam says
Very enjoyable platinum run this game was beautifully made and so much fun to play. I definitely will go back in free roam to collect all the data points I missed so I can get to learn more about the world outside of the main story. Thanks to your trophy guide as well when this game launch this was the first site I saw to have all this information. Will check back in the future for anything else I might play.
Dale says
Anyone know what machines are needed for the Acquisition machines killed trophy ? I’ve killed all and scanned machines and I’m at main quest looming shadow
Davy says
Anyone knows what the transport machines are? I have found/scan all the machines and i have all the trophy’s ( Kill Acquisition/Recon/Combat ) but i need transport.
So anyone know wich machine’s are transport?
Lino says
10 Vulnerable machine kills
I killed him with flaming arrows over ten enemies vulnerable to fire, but does not give me the trophy.
Where do you think I’m wrong?
Thanks!

So I need help.. I am level 50, haven’t completed the game, I am actually only 11 missions in. I have done a lot of side quests & did a load of exploration & completed all of the hunter lodge missions. However I can’t get any more XP now but I’m 10 skill points away from unlocking all of the skill!? Does anyone know anything about this & how to fix? I just have 1 skill point left over?
PowerPyx says
Keep doing story, side quests, side activities and you should get some more extra points.

Hi
It seems that the 10 Vulnerable machine kills is bugged. I have over 30 burning kills to machines and over 20 freezing kills but no trophy. Does anyone else have the same problem, or a solution?
Thanks

Please help me with a trophy queries related to “all catalogued machines”. Missing from the list only Corruptor. Where can I find or what they can do after entering the final battle? I look forward to your responses.
Kleeenex says
I have 3 trophies that glitched. 1 defeat The sawtooth from the story line. 2 Triumphed in the Proving, i finished first but didnt get the trophy. And 3 stealth kill 10 enemies, my records says i killed 124 enemies with stealth and i still dont have the trophy.

I wish more devs would take their cues from the open world genre when it comes to trophies.
The whole multiple playthrough stuff is just annoying as hell.I mean with great games being released practically every week, who has time to play the same game two, three, or even four+ times?
I just don’t get the logic behind it when a completionist geared trophy set, would make the game much more enjoyable, and forces player to experience things they otherwise would’ve missed.
David says
Is uninstalling then reinstalling the best way to u glitch trophies? I have everything but the tore off 10 components trophy which I have certainly torn off hundreds if not thousands.
Hartia says
Just a little typo, for the All Allies Joined, #10 is Varl with a “l”

Thanks, fixed!

Hi guys,
Here is an important info , i haven’t found any website talking about it, and because your guide was helpful a couple of times, i will post it here.
Actually, there is a trophy that one can easily miss, if we don’t pay attention.
After playing almost 120 hours, and right before the last mission, i thought ‘ok, let’s now finish the special armor/batteries mission, so i can have a bit more protection, and become close to the platinum’.
But there was a problem. I hadn’t picked the 4th batttery, at the 12nd floor, during the ‘Men’s end’ mission.
I tried everything to find a way to return there, but it is impossible. Once we see the ‘3 files’ and leave the building, thought the main lift, it is impossible to return there.
Fortunately, i had a few save files, and was able to do it. But i still had to play 7 or 8 extra hours, until i could go to Men’s end, and later on, Gaia mountain.
So, YES,
It IS possible to miss that trophy, if we don’t pick the battery at the 12nd floor !
Which means staying at 98% completion , like me, and having to play another 8 hours from a saved file… before getting the platinum.
I hope this info is helpful, guys. There are guys that only use 1/the same save file during the whole campaign. It would be sad, having to replay another 50-70+ hours, because of that tiny battery.
PowerPyx says
You can return there any time. As pointed out in the guide, just put a maker on 12th floor and activate waypoint pathfinding in game settings. It will give you a new waypoint every few meters and guide you through the tower. Exact same path you took in the story. Definitely not missable I assure you.
mike says
Ohh man… you mean i lost 8 hours replaying the same levels, destroyed my eyes a bit more, when there was a simple way to return there ?
Call me dumb, please 🙂
I was so sad, once i got the platinum, i uninstalled the game..
Fortunately, it is the box version. Ne need to download it.
Now, i want to try your method, using my save file i used to finish the game.
Question:
After 130 hours, and having grabbed almost everything excepting some text files, and knowing there will be an extension, what is your advice ?
Once i get my armor, should i keep playing it ?… or it is time to buy ME andromeda ?
Have you guys kept playing Horizon, after the plat trophy ?
Hopefully the dlc will wake up 2 or 3 new machines, like one that keeps cloning itself, every x seconds, until we kill the ‘mother’.
*will now see how to get to the 12nd floor*
mike says
Just a quick update…
… to confirm it is IMPOSSIBLE to return to the Maker’s End building, once we escape from there without picking the battery located at the very top of the 12nd floor.
All the options ‘show all the paths…’ are enabled.
Actually, when we activate the Armor/batteries quest as the active/main , it asks the player to go to the underground cave, to install/activate the batteries. The yellow ‘path’ just stops near that cave.
With the armor quest active, even if we click on the Maker’s End building, there is no yellow path to indicates a possible entry. Also, there is no options or a way to select one of the 12 floors. Nothing. Nada. Nicht.
I spent another hour, walking around the tower, but there is no way to re-enter there.
When we quit the tower using the lift exit, first, we ‘dive’ from the 12nd to the 7th or 6th floor, and then, we grab the rope, and ‘slide’ a long distance, just to land on the snow area where the Deathbringer CGI starts the first time we reach that area.
Even when i go to the cave, and insert the first 2 batteries + the 2 others, the game/quest says ‘go find another battery, 2/3 batteries found’.
Powerpyx guys, could you please try it out, by going to the Maker’s end tower, as the active/main quest, and you leave the tower without grabbing the battery… and later on, after 1 or 2 saves, please try to access the tower again….and go to the 12nd floor, to pick the 4th battery.. ? W
Could some guys who posted a comment try it as well ?
And powerpyx, maybe you have the ‘press’ email contact, for guerrilla games… could you ask them for a confirmation, regarding this battery thing ?
Sorry Powerpyx, if i bother you with this battery crap 🙂 after your reply, i re-installed Horizon and did what you asked me to do. But… no success. We can’t return to the tower, no entry area, no teleportation, no lift, no rope, nothing. And that just blows my mind.
But hopefully, I’m wrong, and one can indeed return a 2nd time to the Maker’s end tower.
Thanks for reading.
PowerPyx says
You enter the tower through the crack in the wall where you fought the big machine in the Maker’s End quest. It’s the exact same path you took in the story. Once you’re inside the tower waypoint guiding will work just fine. Outside it’s a bit glitchy sometimes. From the campfire go around the back of the building and climb up the wall that leads to the camp where you fought bandits in Maker’s End Quest. From there head to the end of the camp and drop down to where you fought the big machine that was surrounded by bandits. Then you can go into a small cave and see a crack in the wall where you entered the tower during the story – this will let you get inside the tower again.
You don’t use the rope to get back in.
mike says
You were right. I did it.
I Was able to find the famous crack in the wall, and return to the 12nd floor.
So,
Thank you. . And my apologies . I was stubborn, i recognize. Sorry 🙂

Hi power pyx, can u help me as the killed all combat machines trophy is driving me nuts, which machines do you have to kill, as I’m sure I’ve done all of them, anyone know?? Thanks.

Does anyone know if the platinum trophy can be earned across multiple play throughs? I finished the game with 70% of the trophies, but am doing another play through because I foolishly sold my preorder DLC gear and would like to have a play through where I keep them all since you cannot buy them back later on. Can I finish the remaining trophies on my new playthrough and still get platinum?

I have finish the main story once and I decided to play it again (new game) from start.. can I still got a chance to get platinum?
Dzvezdan says
I think this game is more than a 2/10 difficulty thanks to the Blazing Suns at all Grounds trophy. I can already feel my blood pressure rising just from the thought of it.
Kurt says
Can i choose “story” on the difficulty settings or “easy”?

Great guide
So i need to do it in new game specifically no ng+? or i can platinum /get all trophy ng+ using ps4 save in remaster?
Chris says
Almost positive you must do a clean play through to platinum the remaster. Most combat trophies, 30 human headshots, silent kill 10 machines, etc don’t pop. You already have the shield weaver armor trophy so that won’t pop. I’ve seen several complain of random glitches on trophies during NG+ Just play the game clean from start to finish. Hope this helps.
Trophy Hunter says
I’ll buy the PS5 upgrade once they add the ability to auto pop. Thank you for the guide
