The Valley of the Fallen is a Side Quest in Horizon Forbidden West (HZFW). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Valley of the Fallen side mission.
Location: Memorial Grove
Quest Giver: Nakko
Quest Level: Level 28
Requirement: Appears after completing main quest “The Kulrut“.
Reward: 7000xp, 2 Skill Points
Mission Info: Many dangerous machines have gathered in the Valley of the Fallen, forcing the lowland Tenakth to abandon their territory. Aloy must investigate.
Objectives:
- Go to the Entrance of the Valley of the Fallen
- Talk to Ivvira
- Go to the Valley of the Fallen
- Go the the Waterfall
- Kill the Machines near the Waterfall
- Search for a Lure near the Waterfall
- Override the Lure
- Search for a Lure near the Horus
- Kill the Machines near the Horus
- Override the Lure
- Go the Third Lure’s Location
- Kill the Machines
- Talk to the Wounded Tenakth
- Kill the Machines
- Override the Lure
- Talk to Ivvira
Starting Location: Memorial Grove
Appears after completing main quest “The Kulrut“.
Go to the Entrance of the Valley of the Fallen
Travel to the Valley of the Fallen and go to the entrance.
Talk to Ivvira
At the entrance, talk to Ivvira.
Go to the Valley of the Fallen
Climb the ladder just next to Ivvira and cross the partially broken bridge on the right.
Around the corner from the bridge, climb up here and around.
Climb up the pole and press 
to jump backwards off of it onto the ledge.
Climb the pole here, jump off to the right, then jump to the higher pole to the other side, then proceed up the short ledges, use your grapple to climb up the next ledge directly ahead.
Cross the long bridge ahead and follow the linear path to an area with red grass.
From the middle, turn around to face a climbable tree. Climb to the top and jump across the short broken bridge directly ahead and finally into the valley.
Go to the Waterfall
Follow the linear path leading into the valley until you get to the area with the waterfall, it’s a linear path for the most part, Aloy will comment when you are nearby.
Kill the Machines near the Waterfall
When you get close to the waterfall there will be some machines roaming around, kill them.
Search for a Lure near the Waterfall
Go to the top of the waterfall to find a lure device here that you need to override.
Go to the Area South of the Horus
Now go to the other objective to find the next lure, you will drop down into a new area.
Kill the Machines near the horus
There are some machines here, including a Thunderjaw and a Tremortusk, kill them.
Search for a Lure near the Horus
Proceed to the back left of the area to find another lure device, override it.
Go to the Third Lure’s Location
You need to climb a large wall to reach the path to the next Lure.
Kill the Machines
Follow this path to reach the area with the 3rd lure directly ahead in plain sight. Kill all of the machines here.
Talk to the Wounded Tenakth
Just to the left of the lure is a Tenakth, up on a small ledge, talk to her.
Kill the Machines
Some Specters will then spawn, kill them as well.
Override the Lure
Now override the final lure.
Talk to Ivvira
Now talk to Ivvira who is where the wounded Tenakth is from a moment ago to complete the quest.
This finishes The Valley of the Fallen Side Quest in Horizon 2: Forbidden West.
