The Enduring is an Errand Quest in Horizon Forbidden West (HZFW). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Enduring errand quest.
Location: Chainscrape
Quest Giver: Pit Master
Quest Level: Level 32
Requirement: Must have finished Main Quest 3: To the Brink and completed the Melee Pit in Chainscrape.
Reward: 5000xp, +1 Spear Damage, 3 Skill Points
Mission Info: Somewhere in the Forbidden West is a legendary Tenakth master known only as the enduring. Those who prove themselves worthy earn the privilege of training with them.
Objectives:
- Earn the Desert Clan’s Mark
- Earn the Lowland Clan’s Mark
- Earn the Sky Clan’s Mark
- Go to the Mountains North of the Desert Clan
- Find the Enduring
- Follow the Enduring
- Defeat the Enduring
Starting Location: Chainscrape
To trigger the start of this errand, you need to complete the melee pit in Chainscrape and defeat the pit master, this requires the Block Breaker skill from the Warrior skill tree. The melee pit is available after Main Quest 3: To the Brink.
Earn the Desert Clan’s Mark
To earn this mark you need to complete the melee pit challenges in Scalding Spear and defeat the pit master, this requires the Nora Warrior and Aerial Slash skill from the Warrior skill tree.
Earn the Lowland Clan’s Mark
To earn this mark you need to complete the melee pit challenges in Thornmarsh and defeat the pit master, this requires The Destroyer, Spinning Scythe, Halfmoon Slash, Jump-Off, Energy Surge and Nora Warrior skills from the Warrior skill tree.
Earn the Sky Clan’s Mark
To earn this mark you need to complete the melee pit challenges in The Bulwark and defeat the pit master, this requires the Jump-Off, Block Breaker and Halfmoon Slash skills from the Warrior skill tree.
Go to the Mountains North of the Desert Clan
Travel to the objective area.
Find the Enduring
The Enduring is located at a small camp asleep, talk to her.
Follow the Enduring
Follow the Enduring a short distance to the arena close by and talk to her.
Defeat the Enduring
Now you need to defeat her in a fight, this isn’t very hard especially if playing on a lower difficulty, so you shouldn’t have any trouble beating her.
This finishes The enduring Errand Quest in Horizon 2: Forbidden West.

The Enduring is the single hardest enemy this game has presented when played on harder difficulties. She can kill you in a few seconds if you don’t know how to dodge her attacks.
