Starting Location: Memorial Grove
Return to the Base
From the Memorial Grove, fast-travel to the Base.
At the base, Aloy must rally everybody up in view of the big fight ahead. Time to take down Zenith once and for all, rescue GAIA and Beta and put an end to the blight.
Assemble Your Companions
Enter the control room where GAIA was and assemble your companions. During the meeting, Tilda and Sylens explain the plan.
Go to the Rendezvous Point – Talk to Your Companions (Optional)
When you’re ready, head outside and head to the rendezvous point. If you wish, you can talk to your companions before leaving the Base. There’s a fast-travel campfire by Tilda’s Mansion if you want a closer point to your final destination. From this campfire, you can mount a Sunwing to fly to it.
Call Your Companions at the Campfire
At the location, approach the campfire to call your companions.
Here the game gives you a point-of-no-return warning, telling you that if you confirm you will be locked into this mission and the open world will be unavailable until you finish the game. Don’t worry, the open world will still be accessible after the story. If you’d like, you can seize this opportunity to stock up on ammo, traps, rework your weapon wheel and level up. Instead, if you’re ready, simply confirm.
With everyone together, Tilda will open up a secret tunnel to access the Zenith HQs.
Go to the Launch Tower – Kill the Specters (Optional)
Everyone’s got a job to do. As for us, we need to head to the Launch Tower. Immediately after dropping down the ledge, you’ll come across some Specters. Scan them now if you haven’t during Death’s Door main quest (MISSABLE MACHINE). While you could totally ignore them, we suggest dealing with them for XP. The best way is with Acid or Plasma arrows as they’re their weakness. Then, equipping Regalla’s bow for Precision Arrows will make a difference. In this area there are also many dead machines if you’re in need of scraps.
Go to the Launch Tower
Proceed to the next waypoint and enter the cave.
Proceed through the cave using the glider and then exit back out where other Specters await you.
Go to the Launch Tower – Kill the Specters (Optional)
Again, sneak or fight the Specters. We suggest engaging them for lots of XP.
Go to the Launch Tower
Proceed along the cliff and clear the vine when you see the flower.
Then, continue through the cave and use the Stormbird carcass to make it to the other side.
Go to the Launch Tower – Kill the Specters (Optional)
More Specters now. Again, sneak or fight. We suggest engaging them for lots of XP.
Go to the Launch Tower
Continue by shimmying along a wall (by one of the Bellowbacks) and finally past the Specter and up the wall.
After the cutscene, continue along the cliff to reach a new area with some Specters.
Go to the Launch Tower – Kill the Specters (Optional)
More Specters now. Again, sneak or fight. We suggest engaging them for lots of XP.
Go to the Launch Tower
Then, use the rock ramps to make it up the rusty scaffolding and continue on.
A bit later on and Sylens and Zo will be with us again. Climb up the stairs and then look for yellow climb points at a rock.
Now continue down on the only path until you trigger a cutscene.
Go to the Top of the Tower
After getting out of the battlefield safely, we can finally reach the top of the tower to rescue GAIA and Beta. Run towards the tower and activate the cargo elevator.
However, Erik will sneak up on us and we can finally kill him now that he’s vulnerable.
Kill Erik
Erik is vulnerable to Fire and Frost, so prioritize these two elements during the fight to weaken him and then shoot arrows at will to inflict maximum damage. As for Erik himself, his attacks are fast and most of them happen mid-air, so dodging is your best ally here. Bonus tip: Frost is actually more powerful than Fire here. When using Frost ammo, he will freeze for a couple of seconds allowing you to hit him more easily. When you’ve depleted his health bar, Zo will rejoin you and avenge Varl.
Go to the Top of the Tower
With Erik gone, we can now safely access the top of the tower. Approach the panel to activate the cargo elevator and go up.
However, as we go up, Gerard manages to block the lift. Fortunately though, Aloy is a skilled climber. Activate your Focus to highlight some yellow climb points on one of the elevator frames and start climbing until you reach a small metal plank.
From here, pull down the blue hinge with your Pullcaster, so you can continue on.
Keep climbing up until you get to another rusty area with stairs. Climb up the various set of stairs and don’t forget to activate your Focus to find out where you need to go.
Finally, activate the console.
Defeat Tilda
In a surprising turn of events, Tilda is our main enemy now and has upgraded a Specter into a Specter Prime, a heavyweight and much deadlier version than any machine. Scan it first (MISSABLE MACHINE). Taking it down won’t be easy, but it still is weak to Acid and Plasma. So, prioritize these elements and just like the Specters from before, unleash Precision Arrows on him for maximum damage. Placing some Acid Traps will also ensure maximum damage.
Return to the Control Center
And finally, reach the Control Center. GAIA and Beta have been rescued, the Zeniths and world extinction stopped. A new threat looms in the distance though. Will Aloy and her friends be ready when it approaches?
