- Kill the Dreadwing
- Destroy the Metal Flower’s Vines / Gather the Greenshine
Starting Location: Arrowhead
Gather a Horus Energy Cell (optional)
In Arrowhead, Marallo wants to thank you for dealing with Regalla in some way. He tells you about a stash of Greenshine on top of a mountain and that your flying mount would be needed for it. He also mentions dropping an Energy Cell on the machines there might be helpful. Head to the southern marker first and using your flying mount pick up the Energy Cell.
Fly to the Mountaintop / Drop the Energy Cell / Kill the Machines
Now fly to the Mountaintop, drop the Energy Cell to stun all the Machines in the area for an extended period and defeat all the machines in the area.
Find the Greenshine
After dealing with the machine look for a cave covered in vines. Approach the Metal Flower above it and hit it a few times until it opens up.
Kill the Dreadwing
Attacking the Metal Flower will trigger an Apex Dreadwing to appear. This Apex Dreadwing is a stronger version of the machine. You will have to defeat it before you are able to grab the Greenshine.
Destroy the Metal Flower’s Vines / Gather the Greenshine
Once the Dreadwing is defeated, press at the Metal Flower to install the Vine Cutter Module which will destroy the Vines blocking the cave below. Once the Vines are gone grab the Greenshine loot in the cave and the quest will be finished.
This finishes Shining Example Errand Quest in Horizon 2: Forbidden West.

Dan says
Note the the quest can be bugged if you hit the metal flower and take the greenshine cache while doing the “Fight the Machines” portion of the quest.
I took the greenshine while fighting the machines in the initial portion of the quest. The quest progression gets blocked since it will ask to destroy the vines and gather the greenshine afterwards when this was already done.
David Riley says
I’m having the same glitch. Hopefully they fix it
Marvin Rogers says
Same here. Having the glitch because I hit the metal flower and destroyed the vines before ending the quest.
