Horizon Forbidden West All Cauldron Locations

Horizon Forbidden West has 6 Cauldron Locations. Overriding all Cauldron Cores unlocks the All Cores Overridden trophy.

None of them are missable. You can still find all Cauldrons after the story in free-roam.

The first two come automatically from the story (6th and 14th Main Quest). The best strategy is to play through the story first, then clean up your remaining Cauldrons afterward. They are like underground dungeons filled with enemy machines and parkouring sections. Overriding the Cauldron Core unlocks new Machine Overrides. This allows you to approach them and hold to tame them. Some smaller machines can then be used as mounts and bigger ones will aid you in combat.

Cauldron #1: Repair-Bay TAU
The first Cauldron comes automatically from the story, during Main Quest 6: The Dying Lands. You can’t do it outside of this main story quest.

Overrides unlocked: Plowhorn, Bristleback

Cauldron #2: GEMINI
The second Cauldron comes automatically from the story, during Main Quest 14: Gemini. You can’t do it outside of this main story quest.

Overrides unlocked: Sunwing

Cauldron #3: MU
MU Cauldron (Level 18) is located in the south-east of the map. To the south-west of the Tallneck “Cinnabar Sands”.

Overrides unlocked: Burrower, Scrounger, Grazer, Scrapper, Fanghorn, Widemaw

Cauldron #4: IOTA
IOTA Cauldron (Level 22) is located at the northern edge of the central part of the map. North of the Tallneck “The Shining Wastes”.

Overrides unlocked: Leaplasher, Glinthawk, Lancehorn, Longleg, Clawstrider, Skydrifter, Bellowback, Ravager, Snapmaw, Rollerback

Cauldron #5: KAPPA
KAPPA Cauldron (Level 40) is located in the north-west of the map at the coastline. It’s north-west of the Tallneck “The Stand of the Sentinels”.
