Welcome to Hogsmeade is the seventh main quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Welcome to Hogsmeade Main Mission.
Requirement: having completed Professor Ronen’s Assignment (Reparo), Level 2
Reward: 260 XP, Ancient Magic Throw, Ancient Magic
Quest Info: What a long day! At the behest of Professor Weasley, I journeyed to Hogsmeade with a friend and replenished my lost school supplies. I even acquired my own wand! What Professor Weasley couldn’t have predicted was a troll attack on Hogsmeade, which I helped to fend off. After repairing the damage to the village and learning a few new abilities, I finally got to visit the Three Broomsticks, where I encountered some unpleasant characters: Ranrok and Rookwood. But at least I finally got to try some Butterbeer! Now I should get some rest – who knows what tomorrow may bring?

Starting Location: Welcome to Hogsmeade
After learning Reparo from Professor Ronen, we’re now ready to head to Hogsmeade with our new friend.
Meet Sebastian Near the Entrance to Hogwarts
Press to activate your Charmed Compass. This will reveal a golden wisp trail that you can follow to your destination. Once reached, press to talk to Sebastian. At the quest marker, Sebastian will accompany us to Hogsmeade for supplies.
Follow Sebastian to Hogsmeade
Follow Sebastian through the grounds. On your way to Hogsmeade, you’ll come across two small Lacewing bushes and a bit later on some Leaping Toadstool Caps (red mushrooms) and Moonstone (blue crystals).
You will also make the acquaintance of Mr Moon, Hogwarts’ caretaker.
Eventually, you’ll have to open the map to familiarize yourself with the game’s icon tracking system. For the next part of the quest, you need to head into 4 different shops, Tomes and Scrolls, Ollivanders, J. Pippin’s Potions, and the Magic Neep.
Visit Tomes and Scrolls
Open the map and set a waypoint on Tomes and Scrolls (south-western end of the map). Enter the shop and talk to the proprietor, Thomas Brown. From the store, get Potting Table with a Small Pot Spellcraft and Small Portion Station Spellcraft for free. Afterwards, feel free to purchase any other purchasable item if you can afford it. Otherwise, exit the menu and the store.
Visit Ollivanders
Open the map and set a waypoint on Ollivanders (north of Tomes and Scrolls). Enter the shop and ring the bell to talk to Ollivander. You’ll eventually enter a wand finalization screen. Here, hover over Wand Style to choose a variation and an aesthetic look for your want, then over Wood Type to choose the wand’s wood type, length, and flexibility, and lastly over to Wand Core Options to choose the wand’s core. Choose whatever you want, as none of the customization settings impact gameplay.
Visit J. Pippin’s Potions
Open the map and set a waypoint on J. Pippin’s Potions (east of Ollivanders). Enter the shop and talk to the potion maker, Parry Pippin. From the store, get Edurus Potion Recipe and Wiggenweld Potion Recipe for free. Afterwards, feel free to purchase any other purchasable item if you can afford it. Otherwise, exit the menu and the store.
Visit the Magic Neep
Time for our last stop in Hogsmeade. Open the map and set a waypoint on J. Pippin’s Potions (east of J. Pippin’s Potions, across the bridge). Enter the garden and talk to the owner, Timothy Teasdale. From the store, get Dittany Seed for free. Afterwards, feel free to purchase any other purchasable item if you can afford it. Otherwise, exit the menu and the garden.
Meet Sebastian at the Town Circle
We now have everything need and are ready to regroup with Sebastian at the town circle. As usual, press to activate your Charmed Compass. This will reveal a golden wisp trail that you can follow to your destination. Once reached, press / to talk to Sebastian.
Defend Hogsmeade
You’re now tasked with defending Hogsmeade from the attack of a big armored troll. None of your slotted spells work against him, so / Basic Cast and / Ancient Throw will be the ones you have to use. Keep your distance, with the occasional / dodges and / Protego parries. You’ll eventually have to press + / + for an Ancient Magic Spell. Defeating the troll also unlocks Troll with the Punches.
Repair the Damage (0/7)
We now need to use Reparo on 7 interaction point to repair the damage caused by the attack of the armored troll. First, cast Revelio to highlight the items you can use Reparo on. Then, approach each item and use Reparo on it. For reference, the items to repair are the fireworks cart, the statue by the tree, the wooden piece of furniture by Honeydukes, the wooden crates and barrels in the small circular square, the cardboard boxes in the corner, the newspaper stand where you’ve fought the troll, and the building by the signpost.
Speak to the Shopkeeper
Now enter the nearby shop, Gladrags Wizardwear and talk to the shopkeeper, Augustus Hill. From the store, get Traditional School Robe for free then follow the on-screen prompts to equip it. Afterwards, feel free to purchase any other purchasable item if you can afford it.
Follow Sebastian to the Three Broomsticks
Time to relax with a well-earned Butterbeer. Follow Sebastian out of the shop and you’ll soon unlock a cutscene.
Talk to Sebastian Outside the Three Broomsticks
Leave the pub and meet Sebastian outside. Talk to him and when prompted press / to access the map. Then, select the Hogwarts Map and fast travel to your Common Room.
This finishes Welcome to Hogsmeade in Hogwarts Legacy.
