In Hogwarts Legacy, the Flying Broom can be used to fly around the open world quickly. It is also needed to play Broom Races for the Flight the Good Flight trophy and achievement.
Here’s how to unlock the Flying Broom:
- Complete Main Quest: Flying Class. This happens automatically about a third into the story, about 5+ hours into the game.
- Then you can buy Flying Brooms from Spintwitches Sporting Needs in Hogsmeade, they cost 600 money. You can get money quickly by selling old gear items you no longer need.
In order to use the broom, open the item wheel and press the assigned button. PlayStation: + / Xbox: + / Switch: + .
Do note that you can’t fly in certain places such as Hogsmeade, Hogwarts Castle, and any dungeons or caves. You’ll have to step outside of Hogsmeade and enter the open world to start flying on the broom. It makes exploration much faster.
You can speed up pressing the left stick. Additionally, you can use the speedboost by holding / . When flying close to the ground you can boost infinitely, when flying high up in the air the boost can only be used in short bursts and must recharge.
