Hogwarts Legacy has 10 Tools. They are a type of Collectible that count towards the 100% Collections Completion for the Collector’s Edition trophy & achievement. Tools are the usable items you can select from the Item Wheel (press L1/LB). The Wiggenweld Potion also counts as a tool, it is the health potion you use by pressing D-Pad Down and is available from the start of the game.
None of the Tools are missable. You will actually get all Tools automatically while going for All Potions and All Plants. That’s because all the usable tools count as either a potion or a plant. They aren’t collected physically like other collectibles but instead you buy the recipes/seeds for them from merchants in Hogsmeade. You will need these recipes anyway for the trophies / achievements to brew all potions and grow all plants.
You can keep track of how many Tools you obtained under Collections > Tools. This guide lists them in the same order as the completed Tools Menu. The Felix Felicis potion is a DLC bonus item and not required for any trophies or achievements.
