Hogwarts Legacy All Plant Locations

Hogwarts Legacy has 8 Plants that you can grow and harvest. This guide shows all plant locations and how to grow them. You must grow each type of plant once for the Put Down Roots trophy and achievement.

None of the Plants are missable. You can still get all of them after the story in free-roam. The first plant is unlocked by finishing Main Quest #12: Herbology Class. The remaining 7 plant seeds are bought from two shops in Hogsmeade, called Magic Neep & Dogweed and Deathcap. In total all seeds cost 3,800 money. The best way to get enough money is to sell gear you no longer need and to sell beasts at the “Brood and Peck” in Hogsmeade.

Each plant requires a different size of potting table. You can plant all of them in large potting tables (small and medium plants grow in large potting tables too). Before you can grow all plants you must first finish Main Quest #21: The Room of Requirement. This unlocks the Room of Requirement and Conjuring Spell. After this you can travel to it at any point by selecting “Secret Rooms” on the left side of the Hogwarts Map and then choose the Room of Requirement. Using the Conjuring Spell you must place a Large Potting table (or multiple) and plant the seeds. You can have 7 potting tables at the same time and some even have multiple pots. You can buy large potting tables in Hogsmeade from the shop “Tomes and Scrolls” for 1,000 money. In addition to the seeds that cost 3,800 this makes it 4,800 money total being required for all plants.

Once you bought a seed you can use it to grow plants infinitely at no cost. They do not require any other ingredients. It simply takes 10-15 minutes real time for the plant to grow (time depends on the plant), then you can harvest it.

#2 – Fluxweed Seed (Small Plant)
Bought from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade (Cost: 350).

#3 – Knotgrass Seed (Small Plant)
Bought from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade (Cost: 350).

#4 – Mallowsweet Seed (Small Plant)
Bought from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade (Cost: 200).

#5 – Shrivelfig Seed (Medium Plant)
Bought from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade (Cost: 450).

#6 – Chinese Chomping Cabbage Seed (Medium Plant)
Bought from Dogweed and Deathcap in Hogsmeade (Cost: 600).

#7 – Mandrake Seed (Large Plant)
Bought from Dogweed and Deathcap in Hogsmeade (Cost: 800).

#8 – Venomous Tentacula Seed (Large Plant)
Bought from Dogweed and Deathcap in Hogsmeade (Cost: 1,050).

Growing All Plants

1. Buy a Large Potting Table from “Tomes and Scrolls” shop in Hogsmeade for 1,000 money.
2. Fast travel to Room of Requirement. Open Hogwarts Map > select “Secret Rooms” on left > Room of Requirement (available after Main Quest #21: The Room of Requirement).
3. Use Conjuring Spell to place the Large Potting Table. Plant a Seed and wait 10-15 minutes for the plant to grow, then harvest it. Do this for all 8 plants.

After harvesting each plant once you will get the Put Down Roots trophy or achievement. You have to wait for the plants to finish growing and harvest them for it to count towards the trophy.
