Starting Location: Absconder Encounter
Talk with Edgar Adley
Talk to Edgar in Aranshire, he wants you to get the heirloom of his friend back from the Absconder.
Find The Absconder’s Cave
Follow the quest marker into the Forbidden Forrest to find the cave. You have to cast Incendio to enter it.
Defeat the Absconder
A bit into the cave, you will find the Absconder. Cast Incendio once more to enter the arena. Dodge his attacks, then attack him, rinse and repeat. Use Incendio as much as you can. From time to time he will spawn some smaller spiders, which you should defeat or else they will be pretty annoying.
Find the heirloom Milo left behind
After defeating the Absconder, you will find the heirloom in a small cave behind some spider web. Use Incendio to enter it.
Return the heirloom to Edgar
Now just return to Edgar and give him the heirloom.
This finishes Absconder Encounter Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy.

Shade says
Are it’s attacks bugged? It’s triple hit teleports to me and sometimes attacks through my dodges.
Code says
You need higher stats.
I can take it on at Lvl 20 on Hard Mode with:
880HP
128Def
156Atk
and only Incendo and basic attacks, you should be able to too.
ProTip:
Learn Your Interrupts. (5 in the main area including 2 Special Attacks)
Use your Interrupts on the right animation carefully.
Learn to read the Spider’s animations and timings/attack windows (don’t rely on the Dodge Sense as much as learnt rhythm)
