Eyes On Target is a Mission Story in Hitman 3 Mendoza, Argentina (The Farewell quest). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of Hitman 3 Eyes On Target.
How to Reveal Mission Story
As usual, track it from the Mission Stories menu after starting the level. You won’t get an objective right away. Instead, you get a waypoint marker high up and to the left of the default starting area. This marks two snipers on a silo overlooking the estate. There are basically two ways to get there. You can either get a Mercenary Disguise (armed guys in black clothes) and walk to the far left from the start where many of them are standing by the parked cars. There you can head through a door to the Silos. Alternatively, you could infiltrate the Villa Grounds in whatever way you want (e.g. get disguise from lawyer in white tuxedo with a suitcase, who spawns by the parked cars at the default mission start, then get frisked by the Gauchos on the villa path). No matter how you get there, simply go up the staircase of the Silo and stand behind the Snipers while they talk to get the first objective.
Disguise yourself as a Gaucho
You must get a Gaucho disguise. These are the armed guards all around the lower Gardens leading up to the Villa (just under the Silo with Snipers). It will mark a specific one for you, but that will be an enforcer. It’s easier to knock out some other Gaucho in the field, doesn’t matter from which one you take the disguise.
Steal a Spotter’s Earpiece
The Spotter’s Earpiece gets marked automatically. It’s between two enforcers. Crouch in the grass and turn on the radio to distract them, then quickly grab the earpiece without being seen.
Equip Camera
Select Camera from Item Wheel.
Scan Practice Target
Aim the camera at the Watermelons, which are just in front of where you found the earpiece (marked objective).
Scan Tamara Vidal
Tamara will now get marked. She’s one of the two main targets of this mission. Go find her wherever she is. Then use your camera as before to scan here. If you can’t get close to her, zoom in with .
Talk to Diana
Talk to Diana to let her know to move to the gardens, from where the Sniper Team has free aim at Tamara. Diana will be marked in blue outline when you hold / and she’s always close to Tamara. You can be a few meters away from her to start the conversation. Approach from a side where the Bodyguards aren’t watching.
Dispose of Vidal’s Bodyguards
Now follow the ladies. Diana will lead the way and makes up an excuse that she wants to go to the garden to smoke. Tamara will follow her. Their 3 bodyguards will stop in the gardens, out of sight from the guests. Sneak up from behind and take them down one by one. It’s good to create a save here in case something goes wrong.
Order the Shot
Get close to Tamara so the / prompt “Give Kill Order” shows up. The snipers will shoot her for you. Target killed, Story branch complete.
This last step may be a bit buggy for some players. Sometimes it just shows “Mission Story Missed” even though the Snipers shoot her. I had to reload the save like 10 times until it finally counted. I gave the kill order while Diana said ” But humor me, Tamara. If you absolutely had to go, how would you choose?”.
This finishes the Eyes On Target Mission Story Path in Hitman 3 Mendoza.

Every time i get to “Order the Shot” and the snipers kill her in the garden, it says Mission Story Failed, Target Already Eliminated. Really frustrating.

Yeah I’m also getting the same bug, really annoying and don’t know how to fix it.

That’s a very weird bug. I just finished the Mission Story and it was marked as Completed.

Bugged for me also. Waited until dialogue ends between her and Diana, ‘mission story failed’. This game has a few issues.

The trick, until the devs patch it with the next patch, is not to save and reload after you scan Tamara. If you save after scanning her it bugs the mission complete parameter. That was straight from one of the devs who posted on Reddit. They said it’ll be fixed in the major patch coming around Feb 23rd though. They didn’t catch it in time for release.
