Guardians of the Galaxy Chapter 6 contains 12 Collectible Locations. This walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in Chapter 6 in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included: Outfits, Guardian Collectibles, Compendium Items, Archives.
All of the Collectibles are missable, the reason being that your progress reverts in Chapter Select to the progress you had when you played the Chapter for the first time (except Outfits which do stay). Finding missing items in Chapter Select doesn’t add them to your save later in the game. In other words, whatever you find through Chapter Select doesn’t get saved and doesn’t count towards trophies & achievements. Because of this it’s recommended to save in a different Manual Slot at the start of every Chapter. If you miss something you can reload the save to replay the Chapter right away. Make sure you save in a different slot each time, because the autosave automatically keeps overwriting the active Save Slot.
Chapter 6 – Between a Rock and a Hard Place
Warning: For Trophies / Achievements, it’s recommended to NOT spend any money in Chapter 6 (don’t buy any items in the market area). None of them are needed for any trophies. You need to keep at least 9000 Credits to be able to pay your fine in Chapter 9 for Galactic Frugality. If you spend too much money in Chapter 6, you’d miss out on that trophy and require another playthrough.
Archive: Egghead Reviews: Mant-Blows
A few minutes into Knowhere, there will be a cutscene where Drax and Gamora part ways with you. Drax will say “I need to leave” (this is shortly after the cutscene where you meet Mantis (purple girl with tentacles on her head). After Drax and Gamora left you, turn around and enter the bar (on your left after turning around after the cutscene). You’ll find this on the table left of the entrance.
Archive: Overhead
Now leave the bar using the other door and keep to your left. Go past the machine with the colorful orbs and keep going straight until you see a red robot NPC standing by some stairs leading down on your right. Go down the stairs to find this in a tunnel, on the right side.
Galactic Compendium Item: Knowhere Lottery Ticket
From the last collectible, head back up the stairs from where you came, then turn right and follow the path. After going up some stairs, to the left you can interact with a with looks like a big white egg with a robot face in it. This is the lottery ticket seller. You can buy a ticket for 1000 Units to have this added to your Compendium Items.
WARNING: For trophy purposes it’s recommended to NOT buy this or any other items here (they are not mandatory for any trophy or achievement). You should keep at least 9000 Credits to be able to pay your fine in Chapter 9 for the trophy “Galactic Frugality”! If you spend your money in Chapter 6 you will miss out on the trophy.
Galactic Compendium Item: Nova Force Lock Disabler
From the lottery ticket seller, turn right and head to the end of the path where the Junk Dealer merchant is. He will sell you this item for 1500 Units.
Guardian Collectible: Collector’s Emporium Doll
From the Junk Dealer, turn around and look for a big holographic face of a man with a holographic sign “Collector’s Emporium”. Head there, it’s only a few steps away from Junk Dealer. Go inside and around the right corner, talk to the gift shop guy there. Peter will tell him about Gamora’s obsession with doll collecting, and the gift shop has a doll available. You can buy it for 2000 Units, which also counts as a Guardian Collectible that you can interact with later on your spaceship. If you have 10,000+ units, this one would be the best item to buy, but keep at least 9000 to pay your fine later.
Galactic Compendium Item: Collector’s Emporium Ticket
Same area as above, talk to the ticket seller at the entrance of the Collector’s Emporium. The tickets costs 5000 Units for a Compendium Item. Alternatively, you may already have gotten this from successfully finishing the song with the alien in the bar if you went there while Drax & Gamora were still in your party, which was an optional encounter (had to pick the weather-related dialogues “Like a Hurricane” > “Through the Rain” to finish the song). If you never went to the bar you can just buy the ticket here.
Galactic Compendium Item: Skaggler Doll / Shoomy-Gorath Dangler / Plush Knowbody
Leave Collector’s Emporium and follow the path left to get back to where you exited the bar earlier. Go past the machine with colorful orbs and up the stairs. At the top of the stairs you find a vending machine where you can spend 750 Units on a plush toy.
You will randomly get 1 of 3 possible toys “Skaggler Doll” / “Shoomy-Gorath Dangler” / “Plush Knowbody”. You can only use the machine ones, so can only get 1 of 3 per playthrough. This is also the reason why you will end up with 2 items missing from your compendium at the end of the playthrough. Each of them counts as a different item in the compendium, but getting one locks you out of the other two.
Archive: “Nothing”
From the above item, head left onto a balcony where Drax is standing. On the right side of the balcony (small yellow round part of balcony) there’s an archive on the floor.
Archive: Egghead Reviews Spirit Tree
From the above collectible, turn around and straight ahead from the balcony are some stairs leading up to a platform with a pink goo tree. On that platform on the right side is an archive on the floor.
Outfit – Star-Lord: Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
From the last archive collectible, turn around and look for red pipes below (right side of the platform with goo tree). Climb over the railing and jump down to the red pipes. At the end of the pipes is the purple Outfit Chest underneath a staircase, quite well hidden.
For all other Chapters, refer to Guardians of the Galaxy Collectibles Guide.

Is it best to create an alt save then and play through collectibles, and have another save for paying the fine? I’m at this point and I don’t want to mess it up.
PowerPyx says
If in doubt, yeah feel free to back up your save game, just in case.
As long as you don’t spend any money and get all other collectibles you’ll still reach 65%. There’s more than you need. If you’re on PS5 you can back up to PS Plus Cloud, but make sure that automatic cloud overwrites are disabled (on PS4 you can also back up to USB).
jackattack50123 says
Perfect! I thought I needed them all, I forgot it was 65% Thank you!
Baz says
Why do you say none of the purchasable items are needed for trophys if they are collectibles, and collectibles are needed for trophy?
PowerPyx says
You only need 65% of items. So you can skip them, not all are needed.
Kyle says
Am I missing something that occurs after this chapter? Your guide says the fine options are between 7k and 8k, but you keep saying to keep 9k in the bank to pay it off?
Also, if you choose the Lama, you’d be able to afford 3 of the 4 purchasables (assuming you don’t skip the bar for the freebie). The total is 5250 for all 4 so it should be safe to buy most of them, no?
PowerPyx says
The fine can be up to 9k depending on how much you got fined in Chapter 2. No need to buy any items in CH6, none are needed for any trophies.
Kyle says
Okay then I’m confused further, I thought the fine options were 7 and 8, not ever 9.
I do know that they’re skippable, but for my own interest in filling out the compendium, that is an option correct? Buying 3 or 4 on one run and then the missing one on a second.
Kyle says
Actually I’ll take this a step forward because I’m just playing chapter 6 and I think some collectible nuts will be interested. With the right information ahead of time, you can purchase all items in Chapter 6 in one run.
-Pick the Lama in Chapter 2
-Go to the bar in Chapter 6 and complete the song with Lipless
-Purchase the Lottery Ticket, the Collector’s Gift Shop Doll, the Tracker Removal Item, and finally the Doll from the vending machine.
-Normally that would leave your total below 7k (which is what is required), but if you play and pay attention to one round of the three card monte game available at this boardwalk area, you’ll still end up with seven thousand credits to pay your debt later in the game. You can win that game once and end up with the amount of credits you need to basically purchase every item (even beer in the bar). The three card monte game is a scam though, so you can really only win the one time.
Charlon says
Found a strategy that works well for Drax the Dismemberer trophy (I guess it may work on the others as well). You must make sure the enemy is not staggered at all when the call for arms is triggered. If the enemy is staggered, either Gamora or Groot do the move but if the enemy is not staggered at all, it will be Drax or Rocket. So just make sure the enemy is not staggered at all (best way is to use the normal pistol shots only, no special moves from anyone) until the prompt appears and keep him away from rocket as much as possible and it will be Drax that does the move. Tried it multiple times it always works.

Thanks!
HorusDeathtouch says
Haha wish I had seen this comment yesterday. The guide says the Groot call to action could take 15 tries but ingot it on the first. He grabbed one by the neck like it was nothing without them even being staggered. But the dismembered one did actually take me about that money checkpoint reloads lol. Seems like something you’re more likely to get without trying and less likely to get when you are trying cuz everyone tries wrong.
Charlie says
The guide says don’t buy anything in this chapter, but I have 12K and I know the fine is 7K. So I can safely spend up to 5K.
PowerPyx says
Technically yes, if your fine was 7k in Chapter 2 and you have 12k, you can spend 5k. But for trophy purposes, no need to buy anything in Chapter 6.
It’s just generally safer not to as to keep things simple and not accidentally overspend on something. Can’t get all items in one playthrough anyway no matter what you do and buying them has no advantage for trophies.
Roam says
So I accidently overspent on this chapter (I know, I resisted but got tripped up with the buy these but you don’t need to buy these items) it autosaved just after I spent the amount too. If I replay the chapter before will I still have all my money? If I do get my money back, do I need to get all the collectibles from the chapter before again? Thanks!
PowerPyx says
Chapter Replay doesn’t update your progress. It will keep the money from your 1st playthrough as chapter select doesn’t overwrite/update it. Chapter Select is completely useless in this game for completion purposes as it resets your progress and your new decisions don’t transfer over.
Only way is to reload last manual save if you have one. If not, starting a New Game from scratch.
Jimmy picken says
Remember not to play with the blue kids. Those buggers stole 950 credits
Foot shiner says
Doesn’t getting the card from Lipless contribute to the archives for the collectors emporium? It removes the original cost of 5000 credits to none.
bagoesyasha says
I think I found another bug. I bought this Galactic Compendium Item: Skaggler Doll / Shoomy-Gorath Dangler / Plush Knowbody and I remembered it was Skaggler Doll, but it isn’t in the Inventory right now.
Hliasova says
Hello can someone explain to me how can i get all 3 items in one run? i make a second save and finish with the fine but my main save is back at start of chapter 6. I will buy 1/3, then do i have finish a new+ run or just made it to chapter 6? Also after that what do i ahve to do to take the last one??
HorusDeathtouch says
You can get the emporium ticket for free in the bar with drax still in your party, then play the find the card or find the ball or whatever game once for extra money, but refuse a replay or you’ll lose. Then buy the doll and a random machine item for 2,750. If you can buy the 4th item and still be above your fine then go for it.
Leon says
I just went and bought the knowhere lottery ticket and the trophy popped. It was the last one just need so now have the platnium
HorusDeathtouch says
Feel free to spend money in Knowhere as long as you have the money you need left over. The maximum fine is 8000, but you can buy the doll for Gamora and use the vending machine while staying above 9000 just to be safe. Also, it is recommended that you enter the bar before Drax leaves the party and successfully complete the song interaction. These things will not only get you 3 additional collectible items(doll, random plushie, emporium ticket,) but examining every item in the emporium after using the ticket gives you about an extra 20 archive entries. If you do these things, you’ll not only pop the collectibles trophy in Chapter 10 or earlier if you dont miss anything, rather than 13 like the guide says, but you’ll create a massive safety cushion in case you miss a non-outfit collectible before or after this. Just don’t play any other games in Knowhere as they’re all scams. You can also safely play the find the card game for a little extra money, but when asked to play a second time, say no.
DicloniusGames says
So I just hit chapter 6 and I’m following the collectibles guide you’ve put out so I don’t need to buy any of these things as I have 9k for the fine and the 65% progress but do I have to go back and get the collectibles for Chapter 4 on the sell Groot track since I decided to try and sell Rocket (and did get those collectibles) and I’ll have all the collectible trophies as long as I follow the guide the rest of the way?
