Guardians of the Galaxy Chapter 5 Collectibles Locations

October 25, 2021 by FranciRoosters 10 Comments

Guardians of the Galaxy Chapter 5 contains 8 Collectible Locations. This walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in Chapter 5 in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included: Outfits, Guardian Collectibles, Compendium Items, Archives.

All of the Collectibles are missable, the reason being that your progress reverts in Chapter Select to the progress you had when you played the Chapter for the first time (except Outfits which do stay). Finding missing items in Chapter Select doesn’t add them to your save later in the game. In other words, whatever you find through Chapter Select doesn’t get saved and doesn’t count towards trophies & achievements. Because of this it’s recommended to save in a different Manual Slot at the start of every Chapter. If you miss something you can reload the save to replay the Chapter right away. Make sure you save in a different slot each time, because the autosave automatically keeps overwriting the active Save Slot.

Chapter 5 – Due or Die

Galactic Compendium Item: Chitauri Sear-Cuffs
On your spaceship at the very start of the chapter, check inside Star-Lord’s room, interact with this item and exhaust all dialogues for it. Only available if you picked it up in Chapter 3.

Galactic Compendium Item: Assassin’s Ring
On your spaceship at the very start of the chapter, check inside Gamora’s room, interact with this item and exhaust all dialogues for it. Only available if you picked it up in Chapter 4.

Archive: “The Golden Force”
Shortly after the start of the Chapter, you’ll enter a waiting area with 4 counters in the front. Go through the left door to find this on a desk.

Outfit – Drax: Nova Corps
Immediately after the last collectible, you’ll have to shoot the air vent in the same room and send Rocket through it. He will activate a grid that you can use to reroute the power in visor vision. With this, open the door on the left (room next to where the 1st collectible was). This has a purple container with the Costume collectible inside.

Guardian Collectible: Cold Case File
From the last collectible, open the big gate on the right by rerouting the power, go through the hallway and enter 2nd door, leading to the Control Center (room with 5 computer consoles). On the left side of this room is the Guardian Collectible.

Archive: Elevator A23
From the last collectible, leave the room and enter the next hallway. There’s a red-lit area, look by the railings on the right to find this on the floor.

Archive: Memo: Suit Protocol
Inside the blue room with only one Centurion Armor. It’s by the console.

Archive: If Anyone Finds this…
You’ll have to defeat some Nova Corps in a big, wide, open area. Afterward, you’ll have another Nova Corps encounter in a hallway. Once you’ve defeated them in the hallway, check the blue server room on the left to find this Archive on the ground.

Outfit – Groot: Nova Corps
Shortly after the last archive you’ll reach a yellow-lit room with a yellow forklift in the middle where the other guardians climb up. The purple outfit chest is behind the forklift in the corner (before climbing up).

Between the last 2 collectibles in the list, between the first big fight with Nova Corps and the second one in the next hallway, there is a blue server room of some kind on the left with another collectible on the floor called “If Anyone Finds this…”

For the Outfit – Drax: Nova Corps, if you’re like me and somehow mess up by solving the puzzle without opening the door that leads to the collectible, don’t panic (that’s when I found out the game doesn’t let you restart a chapter lol).
You can still get it by going to the room where Rocket was, and use a computer there to open the door that leads to the outfit.

Anyone has a bug where the 1st two compendiums didn’t get added even though you went through all the dialogue? I’m currently reworking my way back through new game plus and still doesn’t seem to unlock for me

I’ve missed the 2nd last one (the one that’s not in the video) can I still achieve 65%?

Yes. You can miss a bunch of stuff and still get 65%. I didn’t get that one either on my trophy run and got all trophies fine.

I am so tired of these damn collectibles NOT registering! I think it’s the dumbest way to deal with collectibles, to have to be on the ship then interact with it then do all dialog for it BEFORE it shows you collected it? I found it in the world, that should be enough! Problem is, I interact with the bracelet in Quill’s room and talked to Gamora and it STILL don’t show I collected it. Same with the cube for Groot. Except when I pick up the cube he just says, I should talk to Groot about this when he’s free. Such Bull. Ok, rant over.
