Guardians of the Galaxy Chapters 14, 15, 16 contain 6 Collectible Locations. This walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in Chapter 14 & 15 & 16 in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included: Outfits, Guardian Collectibles, Compendium Items, Archives.
All of the Collectibles are missable, the reason being that your progress reverts in Chapter Select to the progress you had when you played the Chapter for the first time (except Outfits which do stay). Finding missing items in Chapter Select doesn’t add them to your save later in the game. In other words, whatever you find through Chapter Select doesn’t get saved and doesn’t count towards trophies & achievements. Because of this it’s recommended to save in a different Manual Slot at the start of every Chapter. If you miss something you can reload the save to replay the Chapter right away. Make sure you save in a different slot each time, because the autosave automatically keeps overwriting the active Save Slot.
Chapter 14 – Into the Fire
Galactic Compendium Item: Xatar’s Blade
On your spaceship interact with it in Drax’s room (only if you picked it up in Chapter 13).
Galactic Compendium Item: Deeproot Plant
On your spaceship interact with it in Groot’s space (only if you picked it up in Chapter 13).
Outfit – Star-Lord: Team-Lord
A while into the Chapter, you’ll have to make your way past a giant fan by means of pulling barriers that shield you from it. When you’ve reached the end, you’ll see that the way forward is on your right. However, before doing so, grab onto the two ledges on the side opposite the story path. Then, turn around to spot a purple container with this Costume collectible on the other side of the gap on a new platform.
Outfit – Drax: Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse
About 20 minutes later into the mission, you come to an area that gets airbombed (after 2nd cutscene with Lady Hellbender). Follow the main path in this area until Groot automatically makes a bridge, immediately after this turn right. You should already see the outfit chest on a platform in the distance. Jump over there and melt the ice wall with your plasma gun, then climb up to the chest.
Outfit – Gamora: Chosen Daughter
This Outfit Chest can spawn in 2 possible locations.
Prior to Patch 1.02: after the next enemy encounter (either by fighting them or with Cosmo’s help if you freed him from the Promise in Chapter 12), Gamora will slash through some pipes to open the way for all the Guardians. Once inside, you should notice two big crates in front of you. Behind one of these is a purple container with this Costume collectible.
After Patch 1.02: After the spawn point described above, you’ll slide down into the mines. During the mines you’ll need to freeze some waterfalls to make platforms. After freezing the 2nd waterfall, activate your visor vision and you’ll see the yellow outlines of 3 more waterfalls to freeze. Do this and they’ll lead to a gap in the wall, behind which you find a bunch of crafting materials and this Outfit chest. Just BEFORE reaching the workbench inside the mines (if you reach this you’ve gone too far and must backtrack).
Archive: To Whom It May Concern
In the very same location as the 2nd chest spawn described above, in the same hidden treasure room of the mines. Found on a corpse there.

The following Costume collectibles unlock automatically from Chapters 14-16 through Story Progress:
- Star-Lord: Gold-Lord
- Star-Lord: Sleek-Lord
- Star-Lord: Space-Lord
- Star-Lord: City-Lord
- Star-Lord: Sun-Lord
- Star-Lord: Social-Lord (if you didn’t already start the game with it)
- Rocket: Golden Guardians
- Groot: Golden Guardians
- Drax: Golden Guardians
- Gamora: Golden Guardians
To unlock the trophy “Fashion Passion” for finding & equipping all Outfits, you still need to start New Game Plus and EQUIP all of them manually one by one.

Excellent Guide. Although gold lord is unlocked at the start of chapter 14 and social lord is unlocked after finishing the game. Social lord is missing from this list

Social Lord was available from the beginning for me. On PS Store it says it’s an early unlock with the standard edition. Not sure if this is different for physical disc version? Might be a digital-only early unlock.

When is the lore hoarder trophy supposed to pop? I have retrieved all items and archives on this list. I haven’t had it pop yet and I am on chapter 15 with nothing else to collect. A little worried it is bugged for me. Any help would be appreciated. I have also exhausted all dialogue options for the guardians collectibles as well. Thank you

For me it popped at the start of Chapter 13 when stepping on that frozen planet, it counted as a new “place” in the compendium which popped the trophy.
Although some people are already getting it to pop in Chapter 11 which is odd, as I picked up everything in 1 playthrough and didn’t get it there. Anything collectible-related is quite buggy in this game.

Excellent guide as usual! I always come here first for all guides. I was able to easily locate everything through the playthrough, and I avoided buying everything but the doll in chapter 6 as recommended, but like Pasquale the “lore hoarder” trophy did not pop. Not sure why… I am now in New game+ with all items etc carried over.. maybe this time I’ll buy everything on the planet and see if that triggers it… or maybe wait for a patch? Kinda lost :p

Followed all throughout the guide and still haven’t gotten the Lore Hoarder trophy. It’s the only one left for me. I have more than 65% collectibles for each section. Anyone can help out if there’s a fix for this or maybe I just have to wait on the devs to fix this one

Just to make sure have you been picking the items up in the ship and waiting for a character to say something? If not then thats y u haven’t gotten it yet; the items are only unlocked in the compedium

So I replayed newgame+ upto chapter 6 and bought the lottery ticket from the big white egg and the trophy popped for me on PS5!

I’ve read this a few times now that Chapter 6 items work if the trophy bugged, both immediately, or when fulfilling dialogue in Ch. 9 after buying the items (earliest point you get back to the Milano on).
I’m not definitively sure it’s bugged, only on Mission 12 (mid way through), but mathematically I should have it so I’m concerned.
Think first protocol if this bugs is to do NG+ to Ch. 6 and buy items, rather than saving your credits.

Followed everything exactly perfectly but Lore Hoarder never popped for me. I’m going to give it a go in new game plus, and try to buy the items I didn’t get following the guide. Hopefully that works. Last trophy I need ?

About to start Ch. 14 and nothing for me, so I’m pretty sure it’s glitched. Fingers crossed. Otherwise, I’ve read from numerous sources that for those for whom it bugged, buying the things not recommended in Ch. 6 here pops it, or at worst, pops it at Ch. 9 when you get back to ship (heard both).
It’s a catch-22, you’d miss out on Galactic Frugality otherwise, so you’d have to backtrack either way.

First off let me say thank you for this guide, I’m at chapter 14 and it’s been spot on and easy to understand. But starting with the Drax five horsemen outfit is where it got confusing, I thought I passed it for a while, kept trying to go back. Because the first cutseen with hellbender isn’t where the costume is.. Its like 20 minutes after the time she bust through the building. Maybe reword that outfit, im finally getting to where you said but i thought I passed it a long time ago. Thanks again!
