Chapter 1
Guardian Collectible: Ravager Comm Bracelet
After you shoot the parasites and Rocket activates the shooting challenge, continue inside the ship and crouch through at the end. Then drop down to the next area and crouch under the containers, then in the next section shoot the “Brittle Material” (grey goo). This reveals the Guardian Collectible underneath the Goo.
Guardian Collectible: Spinal Control Unit
Shortly after finding the first weapon upgrade workbench, you’ll drop down to an area with new enemy types attacking you. After defeating them, jump up on the only path forward, then turn around and destroy the gray Brittle Goo behind you (marked yellow in your visor vision). Underneath that goo is the Collectible.
Chapter 2
Guardian Collectible: Broken Translation Device
After reaching Nikki’s secret hideout, this can be found behind some crates near the pink monitors, on the ground.
Chapter 3
Guardian Collectible: Chitauri Sear-Cuffs
After fighting a new monster type called “Slakebeast” (Tiger body with Squid face and Gamora cuts off its tail), you’ll be in an area where you must command Gamora to climb a wall and lift you up to shoot down a pillar that Drax can carry around. Command Drax to place the pillar near the ledge that is opposite the wing of the spaceship. Climb up and then jump down to the platform below to find this on the ground.
Chapter 4
Depending on whether you decided to sell Groot or Rocket in Chapter 3, you will get completely different paths of this chapter. You can find the Guardian Collectibles on either path but they have different locations. If you try to sell Groot, the negotiation with Lady Hellbender will always succeed regardless of your dialogue choices. If you try to sell Rocket, the negotiation with Lady Hellbender will always fail no matter what dialogue choices you pick. So the choices in Chapter 4 don’t matter what path you get, it’s entirely based on who you chose to sell previously in Chapter 3.
SELLING GROOT PATH:
Guardian Collectible: Assassin’s Ring
After Lady Hellbender’s throne room, you’ll need to use the elevator from the throne room down to an area with sleeping guards. Sneak past the guards, then you come to an area with a big dark hole in the center and animal cages in the side rooms. Enter the room to the left where Drax is exploring, behind some red crates to the right of the entrance is the Collectible on the floor.
SELLING ROCKET PATH:
Guardian Collectible: Assassin’s Ring
Inside Lady Hellbender’s Vault, there’s a big skull in the middle. Face the front of the skull, go straight behind it and to the right. There in the corner you find the Guardian Collectible.
Chapter 5
Guardian Collectible: Cold Case File
After using Rocket’s help to reroute the electricity grid in the lobby, go through the next hallway and enter 2nd door, leading to the Control Center (room with 5 computer consoles). On the left side of this room is the Guardian Collectible.
Chapter 6
Guardian Collectible: Collector’s Emporium Doll
There will be a cutscene where Drax and Gamora part ways with you. Afterward you’ll be in a market square area. Head to the left and look for a big hologram face outside a building that says “Collector’s Emporium”. Go inside and around the right corner, talk to the gift shop guy there. Peter will tell him about Gamora’s obsession with doll collecting, and the gift shop has a doll available. You can buy it for 2000 Units, which also counts as a Guardian Collectible that you can interact with later on your spaceship. If you have 10,000+ units, this one would be the best item to buy, but keep at least 8,000 to pay your fine later.
WARNING: You should keep at least 8000 Credits to be able to pay your fine in Chapter 9 for the trophy “Galactic Frugality”! If you buy everything in Chapter 6 you will miss out on the trophy. So for trophy purposes, it’s better to only buy a few cheap items here to stay above 8000 Credits.
Chapter 7
Guardian Collectible: Drax’s Rap Sheet
After unlocking the Electricity Element for Peter’s blasters, you must go back through the big hall where you were flying in anti-gravity earlier. At the end of the hall you must use your electric guns in visor vision to shoot a circuit that opens a door (it’s the only way forward, linear story path). After going through that door go straight ahead and crouch under the blue obstacle, then immediately turn right to find a locked door. Use Nikki’s Personal Device to open this door (the item you obtained in Chapter 2 by siding with the girl Nikki in elevator ride and keeping her secret from her mother Ko-Rel). If you didn’t get the Personal Device in Chapter 2, you won’t be able to access the door and will miss out on this. Behind the door is some goo you can shoot and squeeze through the gap behind it. In the next room is some more goo on the ceiling that you can shoot, which drops down some crates you can climb. Do this to reach the upper floor, there you find the Guardian Collectible behind a crate in a dark corner, is this Guardian Collectible.
Guardian Collectible: Galactic War Commendation
Inside Ko-Rel’s Office, when Rocket tries to hack the computer and you get the objective to search the office for clues. The collectible is on the ground left of the computer where Rocket is.
Chapter 8
Guardian Collectible: Deep Mine Device
After a cutscene where Rocket is trying to hack a console and the rest of the Guardians are discussing “The Promise”, head into the next room straight ahead. There’s a workbench here. To the right of the workbench are big gears you can climb up and reach an area above. The Guardian Collectible is there on the floor.
Chapter 9
No Guardian Collectibles
Chapter 10
Guardian Collectible: Mourning Candle
After a Slakebeast encounter (tiger body with squid face), continue on the only path forward and squeeze through the gap on the left. Then crouch under some crystals, jump up to the cliffs, and this collectible will be by some blue alien plants at the top of the cliffs.
Guardian Collectible: Meditation Stone
A bit later into the Chapter, after you fight the 2nd group of Ogrode enemies, you should notice a face statue with a grappling point for your gun’s Wind Element. Use your wind element to move the statue, then shoot the goo behind it and squeeze through the hole it leaves behind. This leads to a toxic gas area. Use Ice Element on the toxic gas leaks to make it past the chasm safely. At the end, on the right side of the cliff, is this collectible.
Chapter 11
No Guardian Collectibles
Chapter 12
Guardian Collectible: Glarnot Mask
Shortly after the start of the chapter, you need to take an elevator down to a burning market area. Defeat the enemies in this area and squeeze through the gap at the end, then use Gamora’s help to get up a wall. Drop down on the other end and use your Wind guns to open the gate for the other Guardians. In this area, head straight until you see some vending machines, to the left of them you can slide down a ramp. Then climb up the yellow ledges and you’ll see some toxic gas ahead. Use your Ice guns to freeze the leaks on the poison pipe. On the platform where the poison was, is this Guardian Collectible.
Chapter 13
Guardian Collectible: Xatar’s Blade
After going through an ice tunnel with poison gas, you will encounter some running tentacle enemies. After the enemy encounter, Groot will automatically make a bridge for all Guardians. Cross it and you will notice a wall for Gamora on your right. Have her boost you up and you’ll find this Collectible on the ground.
Guardian Collectible: Deeproot Plant
After unlocking the plasma/lava gun and going through a cave, you’ll get back outside and enter an area with spores that cast poison clouds. On the right side of this area is this Guardian Collectible, at the very edge of the area, looks like a small flower pot.
Chapter 14-16
No Guardian Collectibles in those Chapters. The start of Chapter 14 is the last time you’re on your spaceship, so make sure you interact with all remaining Guardian Collectibles and exhaust their dialogues to have them added to your Compendium Items list. After this you can no longer interact with them and won’t be able to return to the spaceship.
