GTA 3 Definitive Edition has 20 Rampage Locations. This guide shows where to find them all (updated for GTA 3 Trilogy Remaster on PS5, Xbox Series X, PC). Rampages are timed missions that require you to to kill/destroy a certain number or people/vehicles within 2 minutes with the provided weaponry. These can be started by picking up a floating skull icon at certain locations, and each Rampage has two locations. Every time you fail a Rampage, it will move to its secondary location, and vice versa for each failed attempt. Completing all Rampages is necessary for getting 100% completion.
It is highly recommended you do these before completing the missions that make the gangs hostile and upgraded, as it allows you to deal with easier weaponry and to get the jump on the gang members without them all immediately attacking you. In the event any ambulances arrive during a Rampage, you can re-kill the gang members that the paramedics revive and they will still count towards the mission. If you are doing Rampages after gangs are hostile, then you can make them unhostile by getting a wanted level of 2 or higher, as with the police after you the gangs will no longer attack.
Rampages Map
The red dots and numbers on the map below mark the locations.
Portland (6 Rampages)
Complete Triad Rampages before doing Tony Cipriani’s “The Pick Up” mission, Mafia Rampages before doing Asuka Kasen’s “Sayonara Salvatore” mission, and Diablo Rampages before doing King Courtney’s “Uzi Rider” mission to avoid gang hostility.
Rampage 1 – Kill 20 Mafia members using an AK-47.
Location 1A: East of Momma’s Restaurante in Saint Mark’s, in between two garages.
Location 1B: One block south of Momma’s Restaurante in Saint Mark’s, in the long alleyway.
Tip: Best done at Location 1A, stand on the ledge near where the health is and shoot at the Mafia members, any that run to attack you will group up below you.
Rampage 2 – Kill 20 Triad members using a Shotgun.
Location 2A: In an alleyway north of Bitchin’ Dog Food Factory in Trenton.
Location 2B: Behind the hospital on a ledge, accessible via the ramp behind the police station.
Tip: Best done at Location 2B due to the health pickups at the hospital, can attack from range to knock down groups of Triad members.
Rampage 3 – Kill 25 Triad members using an Uzi.
Location 3A: In an alleyway in Chinatown, near stairs that lead to a roof.
Location 3B: In the carpark of Supa Save! supermarket in Portland View.
Tip: If done after Triads are hostile, best done by performing drive-bys from a vehicle.
Rampage 4 – Murder 30 Diablo members using an M-16.
Location 4A: In an alleyway in Red Light District, just east of Luigi’s Bar.
Location 4B: Behind Old School Hall, north of the Callahan Bridge.
Rampage 5 – Destroy 10 vehicles using Grenades.
Location 5A: On the train tracks north of the hospital.
Location 5B: On the train tracks south of the hospital.
Tip: Park a car in the road below the train track to hopefully block some traffic, and use the parked vehicle at the hospital/police station as extra vehicles, otherwise simply throw grenades at any vehicles from range to avoid dying from an explosion.
Rampage 6 – Destroy 13 vehicles using a Rocket Launcher.
Location 6A: In an alleyway directly east of Old Town Hall and south of the hospital.
Location 6B: Behind a wall by Greasy Joe’s Cafe in Callahan Point.
Tip: Best done at Location 6B due to the lower volume of civilians. Destroy vehicles from range, and if any civilians attempt to attack you, shoot the ground behind them to kill them without killing yourself.
Staunton Island (7 Rampages)
Complete Yardie Rampages before doing King Courtney’s “Kingdom Come” mission to avoid gang hostility.
Rampage 7 – Torch 16 Yakuza members using Molotov Cocktails.
Location 7A: At the entrance to a house on the highway south of Fort Staunton.
Location 7B: At the end of the alleyway with 8-Ball Autos and the Pay’n’Spray, behind the multistorey carpark.
Rampage 8 – Destroy 8 vehicles using a Shotgun.
Location 8A: Southwest corner of Belleville Park.
Location 8B: Northeast corner of Belleville Park.
Tip: Park a car in the road to create a traffic jam, and then start shooting from range so as to not get caught in the explosions.
Rampage 9 – Burn 25 Yakuza using a Flamethrower.
Location 9A: Along the wall of the carpark in Bedford Point.
Location 9B: South of the church in Bedford Point.
Rampage 10 – Explode 25 Yardies using Grenades.
Location 10A: Behind the Fire Station at Belleville Park.
Location 10B: In an alleyway south of Liberty University campus.
Tip: Best done at Location 10A, get behind the low wall of the carpark so Yardies cannot easily attack you, then throw grenades into packs of Yardies around the streets.
Rampage 11 – Pop 17 Yardie heads using a Sniper Rifle.
Location 11A: On the roof of the AMCO building in Torrington, accessible via stairs in the corner.
Location 11B: Up the stairs at Kenji’s Casino.
Tip: Zoom in to hit the heads of Yardie members around the area, drop down to the road if you’re having difficulty getting Yardie members to spawn, however this will make your more vulnerable.
Rampage 12 – Annihilate 30 Yardies using a Rocket Launcher.
Location 12A: Down an alleyway to the west of the church in Bedford Point, accessed from the highway.
Location 12B: In some bushes by the main entrance to the carpark in Bedford Point.
Tip: Shoot groups of Yardie members from range to avoid damage, and in the event of anyone running up close to attack you, shoot behind them to kill them without killing yourself.
Rampage 13 – Destroy 15 vehicles using an M-16.
Location 13A: South of the campus buildings at Liberty University.
Location 13B: Northeast corner of the Construction Site.
Tip: Park a car in the road to create a traffic jam, then unload your M-16 on vehicles in the hopes of causing chain reactions.
Shoreside Vale (7 Rampages)
Complete Cartel Rampages before doing Catalina’s “The Exchange” mission to avoid the Cartel having their weapons upgraded to Uzis and AK-47s.
Rampage 14 – Splatter 20 Cartel members using a car.
Location 14A: In front of the Francis International Airport terminal, behind a Fatburger billboard.
Location 14B: South of the hospital, on the grass behind a hill.
Tip: If you have the Bulletproof Patriot from completing the “Marked Man” mission, then this will make the Rampage very easy. Otherwise simply use any fast car and drive along the footpaths, but be prepared to change vehicles if your car gets damaged too much.
Rampage 15 – Behead 20 Southside Hoods using an M-16.
Location 15A: Behind the Squid billboard in the northeast of Wichita Gardens.
Location 15B: Behind the Gasoline billboard halfway up the S-curve hill, behind your safehouse.
Tip: Can be done from street level, line up heads of Hood members and just be cautious of being flanked from behind. Alternatively can be done from a hill, however it may make it a bit harder to hit them in the head.
Rampage 16 – Splatter 20 Southside Hoods using a Shotgun.
Location 16A: On the roof of a garage directly below the bridge east of your safehouse, drop off the bridge to reach it.
Location 16B: Behind a SUMO billboard to your right just as you get off the bridge from Staunton Island.
Tip: Best done at Location 16A, as you can initially kill Southside Hoods from the roof with relative safety. If none spawn you can drop down and use the low walls of the apartment complex to slow them down. Shoot them from a moderate range to knock down entire groups of Hood members, just be careful about them getting in your face and killing you quickly between shots.
Rampage 17 – Destroy 7 vehicles by drive-by.
Location 17A: Behind the small boomgate by the entrance to Pike Creek.
Location 17B: Behind a boulder down the long road that leads to the circular road by the dam.
Tip: Best done at Location 17A, as you can go to the carpark at Francis International Airport to destroy several vehicles without risk of losing them. Otherwise simply try to pull drivers out of their cars, then destroy them after returning to your car.
Rampage 18 – Destroy 15 vehicles using a Rocket Launcher.
Location 18A: On the rooftop of Turtle Head Fishing Company in Pike Creek.
Location 18B: Behind the Badfellas billboard on the road leading into Pike Creek.
Tip: Best done at Location 18A, simply park a car in the road below the rooftop and destroy everything from above.
Rampage 19 – Remove 15 Colombian heads using the Sniper Rifle.
Location 19A: In the lot near two Unique Jumps in the northwest of Pike Creek, behind a box.
Location 19B: On the roof of a garage behind the police station.
Tip: Don’t go too close to the ledge, otherwise Cartel members will group up below you and be too hard to hit. Very dependent on having enough Cartel members spawn within view.
Rampage 20 – Fry 20 Cartel members with a Flamethrower.
Location 20A: Behind the garage of the third mansion in Cedar Grove.
Location 20B: Behind the Import/Export Garage, in the north of Pike Creek.
Tip: Best done at Location 20A, run onto the streets and burn packs of Cartel members, but be careful not to set yourself on fire. If done after completing “The Exchange”, use the hedge at back of the mansion as protection and burn Cartel members through it, but this method is very dependent on spawning enough members. Alternatively you can also use this method at Location 20B, by burning through the walls.
That’s all of the Rampages in GTA III Trilogy Definitive Edition. For all other Collectibles, see the GTA III 100% Completion Guide & Checklist.
Chris Radford says
I’m trying to find Rampage #2 at 2B. Can’t find it anywhere. It’s not on a ledge behind the hospital. I must be missing something.
LD says
May have to go back to the first location if it’s not there if you reloaded the game fam
Ray says
Up on the train tracks
James says
go to 2A first and see if thats there then fail it then go to 2B
James says
Also does anyone know if you have to do A and B for 100% or just A or B
Steven says
Just a or b. They always spawn at A first, if you fail then it goes to B and vice versa until you complete it once
R says
Once you complete one, they don’t spawn anymore. You can only do one.
Camo says
Can you replay the rampage once completed or can you only do it once?
My game crashed just as I finished all 6 rampages on the 1st island so I assumed my progress didn’t save. But I can’t find either icon at A or B.
Tev says
Can you please make a detailed guide on how to complete the last rampage with the cartel flamethrower after completing the exchange mission? Im about to give up on the whole game over 1 stupid mission its fuking impossible and im not starting over.
Calvin says
Use a tank, it counts as fire on some kills, just go nuts it is super easy I too was going crazy trying it the normal way.
TTE says
Get to the hedge at the very back of the yard of the house where you get the flamethrower. Switch to overhead camera angle so you can see the cartel guys on the other side of the hedge.
Run back and forth along this hedge line and torch them through the hedge. You can blast ’em through the hedge but they won’t fire at you so you take no damage. Keep moving back and forth along the hedge so more targets respawn. You still may need a few tries to get enough to spawn in range

Calvin understands
Jake says
Rampage 2 has disappeared altogether for me. It’s not at either location. What do I do?
martin says
Did you manage to find a workaround? I’m at 99% double checked both spawn locations of all rampages but one must not be counting towards my 100% because I don’t have the ‘Blood in the Streets’ achievement on the Social Club.
Jake says
I have not figured this out yet, however I think that there may be a bug involved with certain rampages that causes them to not spawn in their secondary location if you fail at the primary location.
Chris says
I have the same issue as you Martin. 99%, not got the ‘Blood in the Streets’ achievement, and I have checked both spawn locations for them all! It is so infuriating!!!
Did you manage to sort it?
Joe says
Literally bull crap. I’m stuck at 99% on xbox and I can’t find the last rampage! I went over them THREE TIMES! It definitely glitched for me. I never received the achievement… literally just 1%….
Ben says
Did you ever find a fix? I’m pretty sure R10 has glitched for me
Steven tyson says
Cant find rampage 5 at any of the locations it’s only one I need for all of them any ideas where it could be
amencool1 says
In rampage 20 i found that its easier to do at B because you can use the flame thrower behind walls, what i did is started the rampage, then head back behind those 2 big hangars and just walked and burned them behind the walls, i did that like 2 times and finished it. its way easier that way because they are too overpowered and the flamethrower is f slow
Ben says
Anyone help, I’m sure rampage 10 is glitched as isn’t appearing at either location. Any ideas on how to fix?
Dave says
Did you manage to fix this? I’m missing 10 too as I failed the primary location and 13 spawned where 10’s secondary location is and won’t reappear since I’ve completed it
TachikomaShiki says
I encountered this issue too but found out I was actually in the wrong place for the second location. It’s a little confusing because the alley where the rampage is, doesn’t show up on the map. It’s not in the same area with Rampage 13A. If you leave your hideout nearby, turn left and take the next road left too, and the alley is on your right, which has Rampage 10B.
Ondafire says
Rampage 20 USE A TANK and fire away. This guide is great and all but for GRIPPED and Rampage 20 YouTube was my saviour.
