The Crucible contains 18 Collectible Locations in God of War Ragnarok. This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in The Crucible Region in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included. Nothing is missable, everything can be collected after the story.

When you first visit the area in the story, you are still missing the unlockable skills needed to reach some collectibles. This walkthrough is intended for use after the story.

How to Reach The Muspelheim Crucible:
To reach this area you must find the two Muspelheim Seed Halves, found in Legendary Chests in Svartalfheim. See the collectible guides for Modvitnir’s Rig & Alberich Hollow. You will get the seeds while doing 100% completion in those two areas. Afterward go to any Mystic Gateway to travel to The Crucible.
#1 – Nine Realms in Bloom (Flower)
To the right of the smithing shop, at the start of the Crucible. Check for a flower on the ground.
#2-#16 – 15 x Crucible Challenges
For this you must complete all 15 Crucible Challenges. Each is tracked as a ‘collectible’ towards 100% completion in this area. There are 3 paths: left, center, right. Each contains a sword where you can select 2 challenges (3 x 2 = 6 total). After doing the first 6 challenges, new ones spawn in each of the 3 rooms. Now keep note of what order you do them in. After doing any 2, the gates will get locked and you must do the main challenge at the start of the area where the Nornir Chest is. Depending on the order you do the challenges in, it will change the reward from the main challenge. So keep repeating the challenges to get a different main Challenge: Left+Middle / Left + Right / Middle + Left / Middle + Right / Right + Left / Right + Middle. So basically, you must repeat the same challenges 6 times in a row, always in different order, then you get a new “main event” at the Nornir Chest with different reward.
#17 – Nornir Chest
This is unlocked after completing the first 6 Crucible Challenges.
#18 – Defend Your Valour (Gna Boss)
This one is only available after the story. From the Nornir Chest, there’s a little tunnel on the right you can squeeze through (don’t climb up the walls, stay on same floor as the Nornir Chest). After squeezing through, look down to see a climbing point. At the end of the climbing section, pick up the book to spawn the Gna boss. It’s only spawns after finishing the story. This is one of the hardest bosses in the game. You should have Gear Level 9 to stand a chance, which is displayed in the top left corner of the ‘Weapons’ Menu. If your Gear Level is too low you will die in 1-2 hits even on story difficulty.

Great guide; the The True Queen trophy glitched on me, may be due to picking up the book and I walked away to follow your guide. I hope they fix this. My checkpoint keeps bringing me back to the part where I press R3.

Is there a way to figure out what crucible challenges you’ve already done? I’m on 14/15 and have don’t wanna try all 6 combinations again.

For four combination, you got clues on the signs into the circles of the floor of the main arena. These are FN, FR, NR, NF and if the letters are no more lighted, you’ve done them. I don’t know about the last two, RF, RN.
