November 8, 2022 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

The Abandoned Village contains 9 Collectible Locations in God of War Ragnarok. This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in The Abandoned Village Region in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included. Nothing is missable, everything can be collected after the story.

  • Nornir Chests: 1
  • Legendary Chests: 3
  • Lore: 2
  • Odin’s Ravens: 1
  • Draugr Holes: 1
  • Nar’s Cup: 1 (not tracked in region overview)

When you first visit the area in the story, you are still missing the unlockable skills needed to reach some collectibles. This walkthrough is intended for use after the story.

Collectibles Overview:

Collectibles

#1 – Odin’s Raven
Enter the area from Eastern Barri Woods. After collecting the lore at the end of Eastern Barri Woods, drop down the wall and swing across the water. Follow the path until you have to slide down a rope, then enter the next pavilion on the left. From the balcony you can see the raven. Before swinging across with the spear.

#2 – Lore (Rune Read – Prayer to Freya)
From the Raven use the spear to swing across, follow the climbing section and go through a cave. When you reach a turnable crane swing across using Chaos Blades, then the Lore is on the left wall (blue letters).

#3 – Legendary Chest (Shatter Star Shield – Shield)
Left of the Lore, use the Chaos Blades to pull the rubble out of the way and squeeze through the gap behind it. Follow that linear path until you climb up a golden chain. Then on the right is the Legendary Chest, surrounded by purple mist from a poisonous plant. You must throw the axe at the plant to freeze it, then you can get to the chest.

#4 – Lore (Scroll – Chores)
From the Legendary Chest climb up the next ledge and then do the long rope slide across the water. After you land, throw a spear on the left wall, swing across, go right. In this area you find the Lore scroll on the left, on the floor.

#5 – Draugr Hole (Chaos Spark)
Enter the cave behind the Lore Scroll, the Draugr is there.

#6 – Legendary Chest (Rönd of Restoration – Shield Attachment)
After clearing the Draugr hole, squeeze through the gap behind it to reach the Legendary Chest.

#7 – Nornir Chest
Return to where you planted the spear on the wall and swing across to the side you came from. Then go left, at the end of the path is another climbing section that leads to a turnable crane. Throw the axe to turn the crane, pull the burning brazier on it with your Chaos Blades, swing it into the two Nornir braziers to light them up. Then the third Nornir brazier is down by the river, with the Nornir chest next to it. After all 3 braziers are lit it can be opened.

#8 – Legendary Chest (Helios Flare – Light Runic Attack)
Keep following the linear path forward until you reach the next turnable crane. Drop down and enter the little cave with a Hacksilver chest inside. In the corner of that cave you can press :circle: to pull down a pillar, which removes it as an obstacle that blocked the crane. Climb back up and turn the crane to swing across, walk towards the ledge where the Legendary Chest is, turn the crane again to jump over to it.

#9 – Nar’s Cup (needed to craft Relic “Hilt of Tyrfing”)
Defeat Blatton, the Wulver marked by a red icon on the map. It doesn’t count towards 100% completion in this region but you need it to craft Relic “Hilt of Tyrfing” for the trophy “Collector”. It can be crafted at the Blacksmith. If the path past the Legendary Chest is blocked, you must go back to Freyr’s Camp in the middle of Vanaheim and take a boat to row up the Barri Woods river. From there you can follow the alternate path to the Abandoned Village. Sometimes the enemy doesn’t spawn right away, if he’s not there run around a little bit until it spawns.

That’s 100% of the collectibles you can find in The Abandoned Village area in God of War Ragnarok.
