Requirement: Access to Lake of Nine in Midgard (automatically visited during story)
Reward: 1500 Kratos XP, 375 Freya XP
Objectives:
- Find clues from Sigrun’s past
- Open the treasury door
- Learn the secrets of Sigrun’s treasury
Starting Location: Sigrun’s Curse
Sigrun’s Curse is automatically started after arriving at The Derelict Outpost in Midgard. It will also start automatically if you go to The Oarsmen first, but this walkthrough is written with The Derelict Outpost as the beginning location.
Find clues from Sigrun’s past
Head into the Outpost by pulling the crane to swing over. Deal with the wisps, read the Lore Marker, then swing across another crane.
Continue forward and there’ll be a chainpull to raise another crane, as well as an Odin’s Raven perched on top of the crane.
Raise the crane and cross, deal with the enemies, then turn around to see some soundstone you can shoot down below. Destroy it, cross back over and go down through the newly-opened hole to reach an Artefact.
Continue until you find another crane, which you will need to lower before you can rotate it to cross.
Climb up to find a Lore Marker and a Legendary Chest. Climb up again to find the first half to the Fjoturlund Vault Key.
As you leave The Derelict Outpost, there will be another Odin’s Raven in the base of a broken boat.
Head to the opposite side of the lake to The Oarsmen.
Go inside and deal with the Hel-Raiders. There will be a Nornir Chest here, but before you can open it you will need to destroy the soundstone so you can hit the bell on the other side of the gate.
The other two bells will be close by. Timing is important for this one, so hit the one on the left first, then the one behind the gate, then the one behind you. Alternatively you can wait until you open the gate to do this.
Climb up and you will face a Stalker, which is the same as the boss variant you faced near the beginning of the game. Climb across and pull the chain to open up the staircase. Before you head down, look up to see an Odin’s Raven perched on a rock.
Head down to find a Legendary Chest and Lore Marker. Before you continue, head underneath the stairs to find an Artefact.
Continue forward and grab the second half to the Fjoturlund Vault Key, then open the gate to return to the start.
Before you leave, climb the wall next to the Nornir Chest to find another Artefact.
Open the treasury door
Head south to The Lost Treasury.
Deal with the Hel-Raiders, then you will have a puzzle to solve, as well as have a Nornir Chest to open.
Pull Tyr’s Shield across to the right and climb it up. Destroy the ore to release a pillar, then head through and deal with the Wisps. Light the brazier on the wall above, then drop below and pull the shield back to the left.
Light the second brazier to the right of the shield, then climb up again, go around to the pillar and pull it left to block the shield.
Head back down and pull the shield again to position it perfectly for the gate to be accessible. Lastly, pull the crank to open the gate, then use Runic Arrows and your Axe to freeze one of the two gears, then your Axe to freeze the second one and head through the gate before it closes.
Open the Legendary Chest, then turn around and cut the chain to let Freya in.
Using her runic arrows, light the brazier to your right to open the Nornir Chest. Burn the bramble and open the treasury.
Learn the secrets of Sigrun’s treasury
Defeat the Traveller Champion that attacks you, then read the Lore Marker by the entrance.
Before you leave, climb the chain and turn around. Jump down to smash the ground and you will find a piece of the Lost Pages.
This finishes Sigrun’s Curse Side Quest in God of War Ragnarok.
